Has anyone figured out if the difficulty auto-adjusts depending on how many people are in your fireteam?

Both, you get way more for decrypting rares though.

I'm level 22 yet constantly get put with levels 5-8 vs a team of 18+. Matchmaking is worthless.
And everyone just runs around wth shotguns. Those things need a massive nerf.
Every now and then I'll get a balanced match, but they very rare. Also when I carry the team I get shit for it, some 0.4 K/D guy gets the items.
There a quit penalty in this game? Because I'm not putting up with this.

this is ridiculous. being able to travel that far is so dumb. the super bar should decrease faster.
Supers are your class ability where you hit L1+R1. If you are still unclear what it means tell me your class and I'll give you an example.
It means use your super move to kill at least 3 enemies. For example, if you are a hunter activate your golden gun and kill 3 enemies before the power expires.
No. Hunter's supers don't have insta death AOE and require a bit of skill. Make the bar shorter and it would be way worse than the other classes.

So, I have a question about Motes of Light. I hit 20 last night.
How do you level up past 20 with them? Are you using the Motes of Light to buy gear with the "Light" stat and that's what gets you up past 20?

I'm level 7. Don't know if I'm jealous or not of the people who have already reached lvl20+ and are complaining about lack of legendary loot and content lol.

It's not easy. And a shotgun to the face doesn't feel any different when you're bladedancin'.
So far as I can tell, motes of light are just a currency for buying pretty things that the Speaker has for sale.
Legendary and exotic items can have the Light stat on them, totally separate from Motes of Light. You can get those from drops or by saving up Vanguard or Crucible marks

Motes of light are currency, and Light is a stat on your gear. They are two exclusively different things.
Think of the Light on your gear like experience. once you accumulate enough you level up.

Yup. I am totally skill-less as I chase them down. But a titan fist slam killing four dudes on a point is so much harder.

It's situational. What skill is there in running up to a control spot and Titan smashin. Or jumping up and nova bombing a bunch of enemies? Those attacks have huge aoe's
He caught an unaware enemy once, the second enemy saw him and almost killed him. The third enemy didn't see him coming.

Hunter only upgrade mats. You get them by dis-assembling (or whatever it's called) hunter gear.
Idk if you noticed, but every time he gets a kill the bar increases a little.
BTW moon is the worst PvP map its so boring.

It doesn't teleport you.
It can get you absolutely slaughtered in PvE. Plus, it sorta crumbles if someone points a shotgun at you.
Oh, Destiny 2 is gonna happen. I've been saying this since the game came out, but they overmarketed the hell out of the game. It's still selling gangbusters and will make them a ton of money, but I wouldn't be surprised if people are less "insta-buy" for future Bungie titles now.
Game made back is dev costs the first day anyway.

I don't see how it's meaningfully different from the other supers. It's all a matter of timing and opportunity. You are still vulnerable to damage, and need to chase down and kill one enemy at a time. If you activate it on a control point with 4 enemies, how is it better than a Titan groundslamming everyone to instadeath in one move?

Salvage is good if you have a team that plays it likie it should instead of acting like it's TDM and not reviving you or going after points but running off on their own trying to get kills.
