Forget the number of threads at a given moment, there have been 15(?) whole threads dedicated to Smash hype and that's considering how anything that really matters (e.g., characters) gets its own thread. Back when Brawl was coming out, I was really into "Japan Time" threads on 4chan, but this all seems so horrifying to me now. It has to be worse.

$5 is a far, far cry from $200. PS2 sticks weren't deliberately rendered incompatible by design. It was incidental, at worst. The only thing keeping them from working on the PS3, was the plug, which is easily, and cheaply, circumvented.

The PS4 uses the same plug as the PS3. Yet last gen sticks will not work on them, by default.

You can just admit you have no idea what you're talking about, you know.

Your feeling is incorrect. I am the furthest thing from a "console warrior" or a console fanboy.

The first consoles I took seriously were NES and SNES. before that I had Atari but at that point I was just a casual gamer but NES/SNES was where I had really transitioned into "core gamer" status (or whatever the buzz word for that is). I also had a Sega Genesis console back then and played both of them. In fact I had all the Sega consoles ever made same for all PS and Xbox consoles. I skipped over both Wii consoles though and the last Nintendo console I owned was the Gamecube (which I enjoyed quite a bit).

I have been through this song and dance since before the PS2/GCN/Xbox console warfare. Nintendo fans were always like this. It's like a bunch of Triforces running around talking shit on the Internet.


You wanna know what the funny thing is? Back in the N64 era the Nintendo fans were the biggest graphics whores around. You can bet your CANDY ASS that if Nintendo puts out a high end console on par or better than the Sony/Microsoft counterparts then a good portion of the Nintendo fanboys will start touting the graphics and talking shit about games which have crap graphics (or more specifically non Nintendo games).
