I'm finding strike missions to be pretty damned fun. I'm doing the level 22 versions at the moment and there's been plenty of times the third person drops out and it's just 2 of us taking on the whole thing.

Pretty satisfying.

In Borderlands, Legendary-tier gear is similarly ridiculous in that it's tied to a few types of enemies, or perhaps just a boss, with a minuscule"% chance to drop" attached; so much grind... so many tears... but then, so joyous when it finally drops. So I feel your pain and know that I'm in for some crying when I get to that point in Destiny of grinding for gear. I only wish some of the exotic or legendary weapons in Destiny had weird/hidden effects.

So whats the point of stuff like the crucible weapons? They just look different? Or is this like a MMO bolster system where stats are brought close together, yet better gear still has a slight advantage?

Again stuff like shotguns make no sense to me if they are supposed to be all about the same in damage, when I can pointblank a person and they are fine, but full shield/health and I'm getting on shotted by a shotty?

You have to look for a shotgun with high impact, the dmg makes no difference in pvp, impact does.
 
hit 21 from 17 this afternoon. beat story missions and played the daily and weekly strikes.

hope things pick up in endgame-kinda feeling grindy without the benefit of other grinding games (actually getting gear that's good)

guess I was spoiled by my early lvl 9/10 rares. rares I get are barely any better than the last.

maybe I need some time away to appreciate it more.

kinda thankful for that full amazon refund at the moment. :S
 
I've got an exotic bounty but in order to complete it, I need to do the Summoning Pits Strike on the Moon at level 26. I'm level 24. Can anyone back me up? I gave it a go on solo and man, this is the hardest shit ever. It might be a great way to grind out Legendary Engrams.

Hey guys what does the stork refresh mean? I thought it means the stock will refresh but I'm looking at the shipwright and the ships are the same each day. Am I missing something?
 
I think I'm gonna be done for a little bit. I'm bored to be honest. This is about loot, but I'm not getting enough gear to lvl up. I keep getting stuff below for what I need. It's tiresome. And fun shouldn't be a chore.

I tried exploring and looking for dead ghosts, but having to deal with this UI system they have for the planets is so god damn annoying after awhile.

I have 100 Crucible marks and can't use them because I am not high enough rep. My marks and as good as anyone else. :P

And the Legendary Engram became a blue bond.
