There is another modified, forgot the name, which makes melee enemies hit harder. At level 20, I was getting one-shotted by hive knights and thralls killed me in 2 hits.
 
Damn, this game sure has it's hooks in me. Kept playing till early in the morning last night.
I have only just started the moon with my hunter as I'm waiting for my friend to be able to continue playing so we can tackle the campaign together.

But I've created a warlock now as well and she's already level 14. :)
Doing tons of PvP with her.
I still suck though, but sometimes things are starting to click into place.

Like when my teammates abandoned me last night. ;)

"Hard" automatically applies the Heroic modifier. The Daily Heroic is the Level 20 one for Crota. (such a cool mission :P)
 
So got to level 20, finished the game (I guess? Finished all missions, haven't seen credits though). Really love the combat and music/visuals, but man that story was worthless. Literally nothing happens, or nothing memorable at least, and nothing is actually fleshed out in the universe except visually. Also, it may provide some more info reading the grimoire, I dunno, I just cannot understand how they didn't put that in the game itself. I know I could just download the app, but I'm willing to bet at least 50% of people who play the game will never do that, and that is probably being generous.

Are you sure? It appears in your second golden chest on the moon, in which ever order you open chests the contents are set.

Ie: Golden Chest 2 on the moon is Jade Rabbit. Golden Chest 5 on Earth is the Sparrow.

Didn't feel any easier, damage from the mobs was exactly the same and the mob waves were just as violent as ever.

Copying video to thumbdrive now for uploading, i have very specific tactics for each of the three areas, if anyones interested in trying to solo it too I don't mind sharing.
 
At 26.

I must say really enjoying the game when I'm playing coop but pvp still has its issues.

Also getting thorn is a bitch.

Kill 500 Hives
Kill 500 Guardians with Void Damage
Infuse Light into Thorn
Kill Dude in Level 26 Summoning pit while not killing the guy you have to kill...

Oh the joy.

Could be glitched like the 17th dead ghost in the forgotten shores on earth.
 
QUESTION:

If you upgrade a legendary/exotic armor piece's defense it's light stat goes +2 right? What about blues? Does it go up 2 light per defense upgrade as well, or just 1?
 
Grinded my ass of striking. One legendary sniper rifle and almost to level 1 vanguard...:/

Good lord the grind is very real.

I got the rabbit emblem from the chest on the lower platform fighting moon strike boss.
 
So, what do you do after you hit 20?

And are additional levels seriously only achieved by light on equipment? Does equipment start giving a lot more light, because the only thing I have with any gives me +2. Plus two. lol.

What are the best things to do to progress after 20? And are there any new features that the game doesn't explain very well?
 
It would be so nice to have at least one drop from the final boss in a strike


It just doesn't feel good atm to beat your ass grinding for "nothing" :/

This is pretty much what my guy looks like. Except I have a red Painted Suros.
Got the Blacksmith Shader that I may apply today.

This whole time I had forgotten to actually activate the Shaders and whatnot from all those codes that were thrown out before launch lol. I was reserved to the fact that I made a mistake or something redeeming them.

Sword of Crota is todays Heroic Daily mission! Should be fun! Just gotta ... wait to get off work ... augh.

I am now trying to max my vanguard marks for the week, but then I will return to PVP. I already got the max amount of marks there so it would just be for rep.
 
Oh my gawd just wasted what felt like 20 minutes on the Nexus boss doing solo. It had probably 5% health left to kill then I died. :(

Edit: What the hell does it take to get Rare weapons and armor? The amount of Uncommon I keep getting is really annoying.
 
I'm doing very well in Crucible but I'm never winning items/ Am I doing something wrong?

I just left a match where everyone got cool shit except me. I got nothing as usual. :/

Can unlock armor piercing and explosive rounds for it too! One bullet in the magazine hits for extra damage. Really nice being able to unload 9 rounds before reloading and with chain of woe active the thing reloads insanely fast.

I've unlocked the extra material per node on Earth so now time for me to farm a ton of spin metal while doing patrols and bounties to try and get my Vanguard rank to 3.

No it's completely RNG. Totally random. Saw a guy that went -18 on control get an exotic weapon. Meanwhile I carried my terrible team so fucking hard that we won by like 10 pts. I had 35 kills and was constantly taking points.

I got nothing.

Also every.single. legendary engram I've gotten (4 total) have given me shitty low-light blue items or FUCKING GREENS.

It should be a guaranteed purple since they pop up like 1 out of 150+ engrams.
