That's where DestinyGAF group/clan comes in.

Example: message pops up from in PS chat asking if anyone is free for the weekly, myself and another answer the call and FR/party is started and we have a blast for an hour and make new friends along the way.

Thank god. I was thinking about the Weapons over at the Quartermaster that are 150 each.

Still crazy they capped the Marks at 100 a week. That seems .... odd.

Capes are just 30 too. So thats cool. I like that number. Nice and small.

Now just need to get Vanguard Rank 2 .... THAT is going to be a time sink. Done tons of patrols and bounties and still not even Rank 1 yet.

There is something really pleasing about the naming conventions in the game for me. All the fantasy names for sci fi stuff played straight.

This is my problem with gaming today overall. All of my best friends that I love to game with live in different time zones now and our work schedules differ.

There's a DGAF Ps chat? So we have to manually put ourselves into a chat group just to maybe find a group, lol.
 
With how inaccessible they've made the endgame, I truly have to wonder how they expect this game to still be thriving even a month from now. They need to hurry and add group finder for endgame content. And if it's "too hard" for pugs, then they need to made some kind of easier version that pugs can run (with a smaller reward or lower chance of big rewards).

I'm really in love. Like all I wanna do is play Destiny. Even games I love take me forever. Tlou took me all of August and I really enjoyed it.

Yesterday I put all sorts of crazy time into Destiny.

A large part of that is due to the universe. I hope Bungie goes HAM on the lore in DLC and future games.


I'd seriously love recommendations for other things containing a mix of fantasy and sci-fi.

In pure Bungie style, it's a game that's built on stuff they tested in their previous games. In particular, I'm seeing a lot of ODST influence. When that released, they talked about its 'hub world' as a 'test' for future projects. Five years later, and here we are.

Eh the summoning pits one isn't easy either. After that it's 500 hive kills on the moon, 500 crucible kills with void damage and stuff.

Btw it's only 25 kills. Not a KD of 25.

Btw after the 25 kills you need to complete a nightfall strike so I hope you are lvl 28 or close to it.

Oh, then I got nothing to worry about. Still need a GAF team for that. Highest kills I got was 22 from playing with a group of randoms. With gaffers, may be higher.

Yup, of course it's not ideal if you jut want to "solo" pick up and play but the end result is much better.

It takes less time and effort than you have posting here about it to be fair, so be proactive and join in the fun.

I'm really liking the game play and the story. I'm a level 18 Warlock and just got to Mars. My only gripes are that I just wish there was a greater variety of areas to explore and just more places to go, period. Plus, I wish there was a greater variety in how gear and weapons look too. Everything basically looks the same. Destiny doesn't quite satisfy my Borderlands itch, but the AI is helluva a lot better. Take notes Gearbox. Anyway, in some ways it's better, more epic Halo and in some ways it feels watered down, over simplified Borderlands. This is only the first game and Bungie's first attempt. They still have to get the shooter RPG formula down. They are heading in the right direction though. Basically I just want more of everything and more variance.
 
Eh, so I share ps+ with my roommate and it works fine, but all of a sudden it's telling me I don't have plus do I can't play crucible. Mind you I do nut have plus, but my friends account with plus is primary on the console. Really annoying because I've been laying a bunch of crucible earlier.
 
Bungie is telling me to play Titan..Mine's level 2 and I have Legendary Helm/class item and an Exotic Chest..that's better gear than my Warlock.
 
Hit lvl 20 with my Human Hunter earlier today. What do I do know? I did the daily heroic strike solo twice without any drops, should I just keep doing it until something drops?

Also, is it possible to solo the heroic weekly strike or is that too hard? What's the best way to level up now, not really sure what to do. I know I need gear with light, but that's about how far my knowledge stretches right now. Thankful for any answers, i'm really loving this game.

Hmm. I handed in all but three create ble ones last night and nothing popped up. I guess it's just chance.

Btw, I didn't know this, but you can only have one exotic weapon and one exotic armour piece equipped per character. What's that all about?? I wanted to work towards a full exotic dude :(

Stick to strikes and crucible to earn some good stuff.
Stronger armor from now on will level you up.
Collect strange coins and marks to buy new cool/strong stuff at the tower.
Experience now earns motes of light which can also buy cool stuff. So keep doing bounties.

I've been doing a mixture of both. Though I take more Vanguard missions to get my rank to level 2 for the legendary armors. I'm already past level 1.

No way can you solo the weekly heroic. Arc damage is increased for both you and the enemy, so the Fallen will one shot you. There is no respawn timer, so with no one to revive you, it'll be impossible. Will the game even let you enter it solo?

Wait what really? I thought you could go all exotic. That is disappointing.

Maybe his plus account lapsed? Also have him try to renew the licenses for the system. Mayb that could work.
