This is my goal today. Need to get New Monarchy to rank 2.
The blue dart attacks from most aliens is essentially the needle gun colored blue. The sound effects are the same and the mechanics are also the same, with a slight tuning.
Mine is at level 5 at the moment, and I still get greens here and there. Hopefully by max levek all I'll be getting will be purples and yellows.

Yep, really don't like how long it takes to refresh the items you can purchase as well. Every 24 hours would be fine, but 3 days is ridiculous.

Play in the Crucible for a bit until you get Rare gear. Anything Rare and above you earn from now on will have a Light stat. Light is what you need to continue leveling.

The story mode in this game is awful. The mission design is boring. There's no build up. No good set pieces. This is a massive step backwards from halo, despite this game basically feeling like a re skinned halo.
The art design is unreal. Seriously. There were moments where I just had to stop and look around. I've never done that in a game.
As I said earlier, this game is basically a reskinned halo, minus the fantastic vehicles and set pieces. Though we trade good vehicles for enemy variety. This games got brumaks, elites with 4 arms, geth, and war hammer enemies. Strikes are relatively fun, and hopefully raids are better. But why a 3 man team limitation? Seems like an odd choice (pun intended)
Audio. Seriously. What the hell? No epic music and terrible sound mixing. I had to turn subtitles on because the voices are just too low compared to the other sounds.
Color me disappointed. Either way. I plan on playing all the DLC and plan on maxing every character. It's the best game on current gen consoles.

Defender is so OP in salvage haha. Just get to the relic, pop the bubble shield and wait with my shotty
Some people just don't get how it works, lol. I had an entire team try and rush into my shield to kill me, one by one. Took them out each time with my shotty.

That's what makes the lack of characters and dialogue hurt so much. They've got top-tier talent, and the Grimoire cards show they still know how to write. How did this happen?

Man I wish I could have both Fast Twitch and the ability that makes you invisible when you deal damage with blink strike. Having perma invis would be awesome (maybe oneday they will
add some exotic where blink stike gains the effect of all upgrades (drools)

So I've had the digital version of destiny since launch, I ended up getting it for free somehow as when I pre-loaded it was during the time where It was uploaded early, only to be pulled down and given an official pre-load launch. With that said, I had a collectors edition shipped to me (not the ghost edition) and while it's been sitting in my room since Tuesday, I'm not sure if it's worth opening or not. Thoughts?

How do you start leveling up factions when you can't buy their emblems until level 1? I want to get started on that but I have no clue how.

Jeez the Nightfall Strike looks disgusting. Don't think anyone is gonna manage that for a while.

It's a shame they went for "big name actors" as opposed to "big name voicenactors." Actors without a good director can do some terrible jobs in voice acting because it's a much different experience. Voice Actors would be cheaper and dont need to have their hand held throughout the process.
Also, the Handcannon in PVP is so good. 2 headshots and a bodyshot in quick succession is enough to kill most people. It's probably the most fun gun in the game.

Character development (or lack thereof) is my biggest (and only significant) disappointment with this game. Having actors like Torres and Fillion who, in my opinion were cast in the show (Firefly) with the best character development of all time, and have them saying boring things like "yeah do the thing that your ghost will say" and "how ya doin' guardianz?"... Saddening.
You buy their class item for 2500 glimmer. Legendary so requires level 20.

It's Explore mode. Do 6 of those blip quest.
The story is barely there, but I'm really enjoying the story missions themselves. Not finding them repetitive at all, and there have been some great set piece battles.
Just completed The Garden's Spire. The battle on the bridge was really great, and that entire level was made up of really interesting landscapes. The Cabal are incredibly fun to fight against, and I love how each faction feels so unique.
This game has some great level designs. I don't get the criticisms that it's lacking in that regard. I also think enemy variety is good, there are just enough for each encounter to feel fresh as the designers cycle through the various combinations. Depending on which they decide to give yellow health bars to, what number of each, and placement/spawns, the encounters are incredibly varied in how you're required to approach them.
It will only get better as they inevitably add more types or add more factions.
Bungie have made something really special here. It has flaws, but I have confidence the flaws will be addressed and the game is going to develop into something huge.
I have a feeling many people are going to u-turn their opinions as Bungie earns their adoration back over the coming months.

The patrol missions are the glowing green beacons when you do the old Russia free roam.

Tbh I don't care that much to have the planet in, so this isn't an emotional thing. Has it ever been mentioned in Grimore? That will straight up contradict my stance here, but for some reason I just feel like discussing whether or not it should be in the game was a big thing at bungie. Like, maybe they think it's too easy to make a joke out of so no one would take it seriously? (Or maybe they decide to make it a complete joke planet in the future, who knows?). I mean it's kind of blatant innuendo that they may or may not want in the game. (well it is for me, growing up I never pronounced it Yur-Ruh-niss). Have they mentioned Neptune btw? I don't recall ever hearing anything about that planet, so maybe they just didn't want to talk about anything passed Saturn yet.

Go to the map, find a patrol mission, there's one per planet.
Once in game, hit select/back/whatever and head towards one of the waypoints. They lead to beacons. That's one mission.

Choose Patrol (formerly Explore in the beta) from the Old Russia map (should be the green icon). Then, when you're in the field, look for green beacons. Those give you different patrol missions, which are really basic MMO things like "kill a dozen things" or "kill a dozen things and pick up an item they drop, I need 10 of them." There's usually an arrow on your motion sensor pointing you in the general direction of them.

Is there a Goliath tank public event? Love those kinda fights, would be cool if it is possible to encounter them somewhere on Mars other than wading through the strike.

now when you get Rare lv. 20 gear it will have a Light attribute. As you gather more armor pieces all with light, you gain levels at each mark passed. Lv. 21 is 16 Light.
Your skills continue to gain xp though. So if you want that next skill in tree, keep gaining xp like usual. You'll see the green fill up around the skills as normal, just wont gain any main levels anymore
You shouldn't have to grind levels for the story? It pretty much goes in line level wise. But quickest way to level is to turn in a Bounty. Go to the Bounty dude in the tower, get a Vanguard bounty, do the task, turn it in, and you almost always gain a level.
