Oh wow totally didn't know this. This thing is a monster in crucible. Whenever heavy ammo spawn I usually go for both and it's an easy 5 kills

Yeah, it's best to just stay in this thread. The game has problems, no one here is denying that. However the other threads make you feel crappy for liking the game.

DestinyGAF I need some beginners advice; I just picked of this game on an impulse buy. I'm primarily a SP gamer (except for some Demon's/Dark Souls on the side) and only casually play FPS's. Being a filthy casual, aiming is not a strength of mine. Any tips for a starting class? I think the Hunters seem cool, but how does the bladedancer ability compare to the Titan's striker?

I got both of these through the Crucible. Since we can only use one exotic weapon at a time, I decided to go with Hard Light. I use it way more often, and it's really good. I wish I could trade the rocket launcher for some strange coins, lol.

So the weekly strike is Sepiks Prime on the moon. No matchmaking. I am skeptical that this will be so tough that a PUG team couldn't possibly manage it.

You don't really need to. Just do missions and pvp if you want to. I was 20 before even going to mars just following story and doing all the bountys I could.

I think it's mostly because the exotics seem to have really good bonus things on them that could break the game if you are using a few.

This happened to a public event I was in. Trying to clear out these excavator (?) dudes, I was picking them off one at a time. Then a high level titan rolls in, does this big from the skies diving area smash, and clears the entire place out in a moment.

I stood there wearing short shorts and just watched the hulk bound off into the distance.

This game pulls off the interconnectedness that previous games claimed they would do and didn't deliver, but yeah, sometimes stuff like this happens as a result.

Finally getting public events to pop. My first run through each planet had not a single one appear, and the first few patrol runs didn't have any either, but last night I got 4 in one run.

Also, that spot where the walker event occurs on Earth is a fantastic spinmetal farming spot. I spent like half an hour there and got a full stack of 50 and the event twice.

Yeah, I was expecting to be able to change shaders on a per item basis. I'm scratching my head at people complaining about exotic weapon limits, getting drops for other classes, etc -- but THIS is a big deal to me, lol. I want to look cool!

First Upgrade
FASTBALL - Increases grenade throw distance.
Second Upgrade
ARMOR ENHANCEMENT UPGRADE - Increases this Armor's defense.
Third Upgrade
ASHES TO ASSET - Replenish Super energy when you kill an enemy with a grenade.
Unique Upgrade
LAST MAN STANDING - Golden Gun gains one additional shot per use.
Final Upgrade
ENERGIZE - Increases Defense but locks in all previous choices.

So, er, why is everyone killing me instantly with their mega guns in multiplayer? I thought it was a level playing field?

A level playing field in literal terms no. For one thing, some of the later class upgrades are pretty awesome. But damage and armor is smoothed out and you can definitely be competitive. PvP win or lose is also great xp and loot so, it's a little different than, I don't know, most things.

I'm not great or anything so obviously this isn't that impressive. But I was using a green hand cannon/green shotgun, had no legendary or exotic gear, and still have plenty to unlock on my class. you can without a doubt be competitive with skill.
