Played Strike once with randoms, every time they died I revived them, the one or two times I died they ignored me and each other. Needless to say I quit after attempt number 4.

I know that feel bro
This. On smaller maps I'm constantly tapping the charge button while moving around. I laugh every time I catch someone with their super activated.

Yeah I don't use it myself but I always hear people pre charging constantly when I'm near them

So what's the general consensus on Salvage?

I think the point distribution is kinda off. Holding that point should net you more than 200 considering it's a long 30-sec timer and it's quickly defused for only 50 points less. I like the game mode, but it needs tweaks IMO.

It's a bit broken.

That is, being on the salvage point when you capture it gives you energy for your super, using your super gives energy for your teammates...etc. There is definitely a snowball effect in capturing the first point, as you'll have more super energy.

Mix in a Defender Titan? Laugh your way to victory.

Rewards in the crubicle are kind of messed up. Finished first and the person who finished last got the best shit, including legendary engram. Plus, you get better rewards from the crucible than from strikes even though strikes take at least 3 times as long, if not longer.

Destiny had humor, "little light" "Don't call me that"

Also I would rather see Destiny in all it's glory than that borderlands art style.

I have play so much destiny my sleep pattern is in tatters.

Borderlands, I have fallen asleep playing at least five times.

I get you and your friend are entitled to your views, but I'm gonna go ahead and tell you that you're both really wrong.

The thing people don't get about Destiny is that this is in comparison to a new hope, it had a large and somewhat confusing story to begin with,
but by return of the Jedi everything makes sense and it's ten times better for it going out of the way to create such a vast plot.

What's putting me to sleep is the same-ness of every mission and strike. The bland-as-fuck gear names. The painfully sterile environments and generic look of so many characters. I don't know. I want some more spice in my fantasy worlds.

I'd also argue that 'needing to get that Destiny is going to be part of a larger, more sprawling and interesting universe....one day' is a weak defense. Sorry. It should stand up on its own and can reasonably come under fire for lack of compelling world design and flavour, as far as I'm concerned.

More power to it if this game's world and aesthetic somehow retrospectively become more attractive one day. It's missing some punch right now.

The real draws for me now are that I love the play control, the rock solid IQ/presentation value and performance, and of course, the fact that the community is lively. I can't wait to catch up to my buds and play with them some more.

I was doing the Moon Strike with two randoms... We died like 3 times and then they just left me... Fuck this game, thanks for wasting my time, that's how I would sum up Destiny right now. Seriously Bungie? Could thing that a little more health? It dies way to quickly now. You have to be like lvl 16, or something?

Are there maps which are exclusive to Salvage?

I played on Saturn and Mercury already. Two maps I haven't seen in the regular playlists.

i think it plays fairly well, but it should be more like 1-site extraction from Halo 4. players should be able to fight for control over the point before it moves to a new location. the team who gets there first is the only one who can score from it; the other team can only stop the capture. it would be fine if the other team didn't spawn by the relic half of the time (particularly on Firebase Delphi). Maybe it just shouldn't be on that map.

Haven't played it on that map. My team noticed that going for the site was pointless against good teams because they would kills us and then defuse it. So we began electing to wait for them to cap it, then kill them, and defuse.

Perhaps making it more King of the Hill-like and having a point tick-rate while being held?

Just finished this. So disappointed at the story. I thought it was getting better at Venus, some interesting characters appear... and then are not seen ever again.

Still had a blast with shooting some motherfuckers, Bungie are seriously kings of gunplay.

Sucks they left. First time I did that with 2 other level 12's we got destroyed within a minute the first attempt. Were able to do it on the 3rd attempt though. If you think that thing has a lot of health, wait until Venus.

I'm guessing its balanced around the idea that enemies in strikes can drop stuff except they don't 99% of the time. Named elites/bosses should have very good odds of dropping stuff. Could be green even, just drop something.

got to level 20, everythings slowed down.. where do i get all this light stuff? :(

edit: and i regret switching to sunslinger for my walock.. the other original one was way better.
Really? Loving sunsinger for pvp, burn damage over time on grenades and melee, sticky grenade, and s super that lets you spam those grenades and can also help your team get their cooldowns back if some are near.

Well that was intense, I just soloed the heroic daily strike. Quite a confidence booster though.

Tips - invisible sword guys were the only problem. Outside of that it's simply a matter of being patient.

Had a pulse rifle, and boots/chest that boost ammo capacity. When I ran out or came close to running out I just basically popped invis and ran out to pick up ammo on ground .

That and the arc damage increase was super useful.

Granted I was level 24, and the strike was 22, there was still not a lot of room for error.

When you play as a warlock in the crucible.... Its almost not fair how you can get 5 kills with the press of 2 buttons...(it's feels good though!) Almost wish I went warlock first instead of hunter

I was lvl 13, they were lvl 14 and 12, so I thought we would be overleveled lol. Hey, there's no way it's going to be any more annoying than the first strike, right? Wrong. It goes without saying that we were doing great and it was actually fun before the boss.

I'm really pissed of right now... I have so many other games to play too. Oh well...

Wait, it gets even more ridiculous!? Nooooooooooooooo....

Has the drop rate gone down since the beta? I haven't gotten nearly as many (2) items that I have to have decrypted as I did in the beta. Also not getting that May drops at all actually.

What day does the weekly stuff reset?

Yeah it's fairly borked alright

My Warlock is just about level 15.. was going to switch to Sunslinger, could you expand on why you think it was a bad move? I'm not sure if I'm slow or it's not common knowledge, but is there any way to switch back on the fly between sub-classes, or are you Sunslinger4lyfe once you change?

Thanks in advance, Guardians.

Does anyone know any good spots on Venus to farm Spirit Bloom?

It seems to be the most difficult material to spot and I haven't found any good areas yet to do rounds. If only my gear needed Spin Metal, I have a ton of that.
