And try changing up what gun you use since you won't get any ammo drops for your current weapon.

Not only is this a great method for engrams in general, bit there's also a couple of public events that start nearby.
I did that at level 18 with two other 20's and I died so quickly. Two of his machine gun shots would down me. Went back at 20 and the difference in survivability was insane.
How do you get there from patrol spawn?

Sounds like you left before the mission was complete.
This is why I am now a level 17 and I havent yet gotten past the first introductory mission on the moon. I'm going to end up very overleveled for most of the game, which is fine by me.

It is the spawn. Just go to the bottom of the hill you start at. By the way there are 2 more caves on the way down there which may contain loot and weren't covered in the video. One is about halfway down directly in front of you but behind the big rock, the other is halfway down by the left edge from spawn.

Just straight ahead from where they spawn you. It's a pretty large crater that's difficult to miss.

Fucking lol. The thing always says "mission incomplete" if you're not done and you try to go to orbit. Didn't say anything so I figured it was fine. No other mission ever once has anything at all ever happen after the end-of-mission clock starts. Bungie are clowns.

have you hit level 20 yet? because you may not be able to understand just how repetitive this game is until you get to the end.
I'm level 20. here's what I can do:
A) run the same strike missions over and over and over and over, slowly getting better gear so that I can run the same strike missions, perhaps with a higher level modifier, over and over and over
B) PVP in the crucible
PVP can be fun, sure, but cmon. The game has great gameplay fundamentals but as a game parading as an MMO, and as a game without a real story or single player experience like you'd expect from a typical action game, the lack of content and lack of scope and lack of substance is really extreme, especially when contrasted against the high expectations they set with their bullshit prior to the game's release.

The story missions in two weeks are not DLC, they are following the traditional MMO structure by releasing content as weeks go by to increase longevity. It really isn't a hard concept to grasp. Do you think people "beat" World of Warcraft? The story is ongoing.
It's only with the Legendary and Exotic gear that the stats get a boost, but they do. Easiest way to tell is to look at your Light meter before and after upgrading.
