I get the feeling she's about to turn up.
I'm probably wrong though.
She going to be a top tier vamp?
Yeah, you're probably right.too early. gotta wait for pivotal moment.
More like emotional attack dog for The Master against Eph.
Where's that swat team
But does she still keep her personality, like German?
Have not seen the episode yet, so I don't know if they showed how she was turned. In the books, it's really unclear how much sentience she retains. The Master has a very specific purpose for her in his grand plan, and in book 2, she even gets a chapter from her POV. For the sake of clarity and streamlining in the show, she most likely will become a sentient vamp like Eichorst and The Master. That would actually be a really neat twist and I hope they do it.
Yes. That's why it's kind of weird how early they showed them. Probably for hype. Will we ever learn about the purpose of the swat team?
Will we ever learn about the purpose of the swat team?
If they were going to do an episode that focused heavily on the mom, then they should have considered investing more into her character before tonight. I would be surprised if anyone watching the show actually gave a flying fuck about what happened to her.
Considering how this show has characters acting irrational to be genuine to the genre's roots yes would be my guess. Not a terrible episode, but we're still in the same place as last time.
I wonder if the blonde really went on her own.
I'm tempted to take this .gif and overlay "Into my veins" and post it whenever someone says it here on GAF.
Man, this show is really topping Heroes Season 2 levels of stupid.
First they do a straight play of South Park's "no internet", then they have NY still functioning even though nearly every character had a random encounter with vamps (assistant's mother's nursing home, attacking the car in front of Eph's FBI captor's car in rush hour traffic, the alley way the two Latinos passed randomly). Oh if only there was some sort of broad spectrum, unjammed media that used a network of people with cameras to relay news and footage to a central broadcasting location...
I don't know if I already saw a serie where I wanted the protagonists (Eph / Nora) to die so badly.
Ya'll are friggin sociopaths.
I was pretty bummed when that worm got in her eye, I was hopin she would make it. But it was somewhat redeemed by her being selected by the Master there, if she turns into a lucid vamp like Eichorst there's a lot of potential there. Maybe she shows up and is like "hi Eph turns out I'm fine ha ha" and tries to undermine things from within. Cool stuff!

My biggest issue with the show is that they seem to be doing a horrible job portraying the actual downfall of civilization, or at least they're making it really confusing.
So you have Elite Hacker Girl "hacking" the Internet and bringing it down, meanwhile you've had vampires running around with impunity at night for how many nights now, killing countless people and turning hundreds more? And how am I supposed to believe that there hasn't been any larger response or mass hysteria? If you're just going to resort to hand waving bullshit at least BS the lack of communications on some crazy solar flare or something associated with the eclipse. I'd have bought that more than obnoxious Hacker Girl single handedly destroying the Internet.
The whole internet being hacked or whatever is just the dumbest writing I've seen in a show in a while and doesn't even make sense. But to compound that, you've got people watching TV news shows and yet why isn't there huge news that hundreds of people have either gone missing or murdered every night? Are we supposed to think that just cause cell phones or the Internet is down that there wouldn't be mass hysteria? And then in the daylight scenes you have people just walking around like nothing is happening.
Yet I still am enjoying the show. Its stupid fun. I just wish the writing wasn't so horrible, because the concepts are fun.
1) Hacker girl didn't do it alone, she has said multiple times her and a group did something to bring the internet and stuff down in NYC
2) In the TV's in the background multiple times they've had reporters talking about murders and how insane they were and how the police were confused at the murders, etc.
While I agree they aren't showing it falling apart in as large as I'd like, but it is happening you just have to see the little details.
Really solid episode last night. I have nothing but positive impressions. Kelly's protracted transformation was fascinating - it's become clear to me that with a couple of the actors who turn vamp, they were cast primarily for how well they could act the vampire instead of acting the human. And, could it possibly be...the hacker chick is gone? No way she survives out there on her own. Thank god. I was so done with her schtick.
My only question is how are they all turning so quickly now?
The people in the beginning of the show appeared to take days to make a full transformation. for the last few episodes, it seems like only a few hours are needed now.
I haven't read the books but is the Hacker Girl even in the books? If not, do they explain the lack of communications some other way?
They are stalling the story to fit the first book onto a 13 episodes season, my only comfort is that the season finale will deliver

Kelly: Taking a worm to the face, Wiggling into her eye socket, Dropping the picture and turning, Attacking the kid, Attacking the woman, Stinger
This episode reminded me of an adult documentary I once watched.
