Final Fantasy XV TGS 2014 Trailer | Lord Nomura giveth us His only Son so we may live

I never thought I'd be so thrilled to see aliasing in a trailer! IT'S REALLY COMING ISN'T IT?!

As hyped as I am for this game, the part I am most hyped about is the part I am certain will be absolutely fantastic: the soundtrack. This newest trailer's music was amazing.

At least you can't accuse it of being CG with all that aliasing.

Hopefully there's some actual gameplay and it's not one long, boring interactive story.

I'm noticing a lot of negetivity in this thread, but the YOKO SHIMAMURA IS TOO LOUD IN ITS GLORY!!!

It's a videogame. There's negativity in every thread where they're discussed lol.

I thought the trailer was awesome. The 'road trip' vibe, the music, the monsters, & combat all look phenomenal. This is the first time in many many years that I've been excited about a Final Fantasy game. Oh and the art direction is the business too.

its been confirmed countless times that the world is open for exploration. one of the main indications was that at some point they were having issues programming the airships.

Have we seen it? Have we seen someone get out of that car at any point they want to and run off into the wilderness? Have we seen what control you have over that car?

Maybe people are just pleased that it looks like it might be taking some ideas from Xenoblade? But then again, we're already getting a Xenoblade sequel and I have much more confidence that it will A) come out soon and B) be really good.

No way, even if it was proven to be an inspiration, I only rank Xenoblade as an above-average RPG at best. No (in)direct inspirational elements from it would cause me to have any excitement.

That said, I do have my skepticism towards this project (even though the trailer has me all giddy). On the other hand, I have just as many reservations towards X's quality, while I don't imagine it taking a miniature-forever to release like Final Fantasy XV. It could be that my excitement edges towards XV because I see myself getting a PS4 well before a WiiU.

Dream team:

Troy Baker
Liam O'Brien
Jamieson Price

And for an extra anime-regular voice I would love to hear: Steven Blum.

I won't say no to Liam O'Brien. Not really familiar with Price, though.

How 'bout the guy who voiced Balthier? I could listen to him for another full game.

Just watched the trailer again with headphones so I could appreciate the music. God damn, Yoko! This could be her greatest achievement yet.

Can't you see the aliasing and polygons?

Do you think Visual Works will do something for the game ?

To show us their latest stuff which I imagine would be Pixar levels of quality.

I have a feeling they will redo everything in-engine except maybe a select few scenes.

I hope it is from the perspective of a bunch of bros bro'ing out with their bromance. The whole combined attacks and transitions to each other's attacks are great. I'll name them all different bro names.

Seriously. People need to open up to different party compositions. X-2, while it had its cringeworthy moments, also delivered dialogue that could be more naturally done so with an all-girls party. I think focusing on brotherhood could be a major strength for XV, and I wish people would stop complaining about wanting a token girl in the party, just because. I'm betting Cor dies sometime in the game, and having that strong sense of brother-like bonding will only make his death more memorable.

Yeah, Shimomora's gonna deliver. :)

Maybe Nomura being attached to this game would have been a bad thing. Who knows?

There's no point stressing over something we will never know. Let's judge the game for what it is and will be. It looks good to me.

That's Stella.

Her name is still Stella? Thank god.

It funny hearing someone say that considering he never worked on any major 3d FF games. So how can artistic coherence whatever that means be an issue. Those 3d spites had nothing to worry about.

The point being Amano had nothing to do with whatever you are complaining about.
Kinda also funny considering Amano's Goblins are actually featured in this game, and from what we've seen, look pretty damn true to his artwork(even the crooked curl of the hat).

Surprised that the response to this is so positive. Combat doesn't look like much fun, graphics were less impressive than the previous teaser, and for a game that's been in development for forever, it just felt like they should have more to show for themselves at this point.

Maybe people are just pleased that it looks like it might be taking some ideas from Xenoblade? But then again, we're already getting a Xenoblade sequel and I have much more confidence that it will A) come out soon and B) be really good.

Graphics overall are definitively more consistent than the previous trailer, without any doubt.

Final Fantasy: CraAAAaAAaAZY Roadtrip!

Looks fucking good. Still don't know how to expect the combat to feel, there's a lot goin on. But it lives! Nice trailer.

The only thing that I saw that didn't have much AA was the car. I'm sure they will fix that though.

I truly was happy to see it. E3 2013 trailer had a bit of a doctored feel to it. Even if the game does not improve visually from the trailer, I would be more than satisfied, provided the gameplay is there to match it.

Hmmm. Prompto's design is the only one that looks different to me, they changed the hair and how yellow it was, the rest of the crew looks the same and that already had the new Stella design (well the face in art form at the end where they showed all of the faces like that anyway).

I dunno it looks almost more cartoony now

The road trip idea is so freaking amazing, you and four bros travelling across the world in your sweet car to save the world or whatever.

March 2015 can't come soon enough.

That's his major work in anime/japanese game dubs. He tends to voice the really manly characters. For reference purposes, Liam O'Brien and him have worked on both Nier (Brien was the grimoire) and on Fate Zero (Brien had a minor 'secondary' role).

Yeah. I mean I wouldn't say no to female characters, I mean FFXIII had that Australian one she was my favorite character outside of the dad with Frocobo, but nothing wrong with fashion model bros hanging out.

As someone who isn't big into Final Fantasy (basically only played VI), let me say that I am now hyped for this game.

Please, FF games have had a good balance of actual gameplay and story. You may not like the newer ones, but it's not like the story crowded out the gameplay. That goes for even XIII.
