Bigger and better in every way, the arcade-style railshooter will be 4 times enjoyable than before - thanks to the free new game modes integrated into its latest update.

Budapest, Hungary – September 18, 2014 – isTom Games announces that its arcadey iOS railshooter will get a huge update on the 25th of September. The much awaited update will contain 4 new game modes which could without doubt longer the game’s replayability. These are Hardcore, Hyper, Zen and Time Attack modes. Mad Bullets’ original play mode would be also playable and renamed as ’Classic’ mode. There’ll be also new features, several bugfixes, and performance improvements as well. As the game got more than 300,000 users and many praising feedbacks in a short time after its release, isTom Games decided it deserves more support and care in the form of additional contents. The detailed list of the update’s contents will follow this announcement shortly.

Reaching 10k positive ratings:
Mad Bullets achieved a great milestone as the number of positive ratings got higher than 10,000 last week. What’s more: after reaching 10k, Mad Bullets still has an average 4.5 stars out of 5 rating score on the App Store. This shows the commitment players definitely have toward Mad Bullets.

Wow literally copying your press release promoting your game. How shameless can you get.

Although I'm not sure why, I think Goat Simulator looks fucking awesome on my 5S. Might be the IQ, might be the palette. Whatever it is, it's pleasing my eyes.

Lack of MFi support is inexcusable though.

This looks interesting. Think I might check out the Android version. Thanks for the heads up!
Here's some more info on the gameplay, I'd asked Keith earlier foot some details
Auro's gameplay has a small amount of elements, all centered around the core mechanism of bumping (pushing actors back into hazards). Everything in the game supports this. So you have these spells that you cast, and some of them create slippery ice floe. Ice floe causes actors, when bumped, to slide all the way to the end of the ice floe, so you can do a lot with that. Also you can use floe to walk out over water, and do other stuff, like trick Heavy actors into falling through the frozen water.

Or some abilities create Currents, which cause actors to bounce when they're bumped into (or out of) them. Monsters can bounce several times on the heads of other monsters / on pillars which can be pretty funny sometimes.

The abilities all really synergize with each other a lot so that there's just a huge amount of room for strategy and skill building. Emergent complexity galore. We worked on the game for 4 years, and we had some really great beta testers who helped us on a years-long journey through making and remaking and remaking and remaking the skills until they were - as I said - super deep!

One of the big things we did was get rid of a ton of the chaff from these kinds of games. By chaff, I mean "equipping the +2 sword over the +1 sword", or "walking down a long hallway" or "tapping on an adjacent enemy repeatedly until he dies". Once we got rid of that chaff, that made it really easy for us to identify imbalances and anything about the gameplay that was flat or not-deep.

Hey, Mario, great job with The Maze Runner! I usually avoid movie tie-ins like the plague and lane-based runner are just pretty generic now a days, but the multiple paths and moving obstacles give Maze Runner a dynamic feel that other similar games lack. And the fact that it's level based, not endless is a nice change as well

Finally finally got Device 6. I've remained totally unspoiled, and I'm already stuck at the first puzzle (but I love that!) So far it's just brilliant. The use of text to visually establish a sense of space is genius

Thanks.

We came to the party a little late and have only been working with Sticky and Fox on the title for only a short while, but they've been really responsive to our direction.

The team is hard at work on the game still, so there is a lot of polish and content yet to come.

Enough can't be said about this game-truly fantastic and only possible on a mobile device/tablet.

Do not upgrade Tiny Tower!! Although you will get 2 chips for watching an ad, costs for upgrades will raise tremendously! The LV10 upgrade costs 2430 Bux instead of 1620!

Unfortunately I did :(

I hate it when shit like this happens.
Least I expect from the devs is to mention "economy adjustments" in the release notes.

Anyway, TTV hasn't really grabbed me. I've been checking my tower just once a day for the last week, and will probably stop doing it soon.

It grabbed me hard for awhile, but I'm over it now.

Yep, a clue in the patch notes would have been nice. I wrote to them, let's see what they will answer. Hopefully many players notice the change and are as disappointed as me and write to them.

Downloaded it earlier today and I'm liking it too. Agreed with More_Badass, the fact it's stage-based and that the levels have a specific design instead of randomized are welcome aspects. Good to know there will be updates with new content and polish. Haven't felt like playing a runner since Subway Surfers but I'm enjoying my time with this one.

And if there's a franchise that makes sense as a runner it's this one. Almost all elements in the game make in-universe sense, haha.

Is Five Nights at Freddy's good on IOS? I was amazed to see it.

What was the name of that 2d rogue-like that was often compared to Dark Souls? It came out a few months ago..

Any word on the iPhone version of Hearthstone? I imagine that will be pretty nice on the iPhone6+.

Started playing Wayward Souls. Pretty cool so far. Never really got into Demon's Souls/etc, though, so this type of roguelike feels new.

Wayward Soul?

And yeah, I was very surprised to see Five Nights on IOS. Quite a few PC ports lately

Here are some interesting under-the-radar IOS games that released this week. Outgrowth is sci-fi horror/stealth action. The Maze Runner is reminiscent of an auto-running Continuity but faster paced, and with enemies and hazards to avoid and manipulate. I played Words for Evil on PC, and it's an enjoyable mix of word game and RPG

The Maze Runner (Not the movie tie-in)

A puzzle game you've never seen before. Running away from monsters in the maze is not as easy as it looks.

Words for Evil (iPad only)
Words for Evil is a fast paced word game combined with a fantasy RPG.
It features everything you expect from an RPG, including combat, hero progression, loot and more, all built on top of classic word game mechanics.

Leaf on the Wind
"Leaf on the Wind' is an amazing physics-based puzzle/adventure game. Using your finger, you blow leaves around while avoiding natural forces and hazards such as fire, water, wind, and even man-made machinery. With elements of both puzzle games and adventure games, Leaf on the Wind is a truly unique experience!

Outgrowth
Your protagonist is lost in space after escape from prison and does an emergency docking with "Naglfar".
Try to help him to stay alive, find an exit and answer the questions.

Has anyone seen any good graphics benchmarks comparisons between the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus yet? I'm dying to know what pushing a whole lot more pixels on the Plus will mean for game performance.

Somehow I missed Five Nights at Freddy's. Looks like another one to add to the buy list.

How was it released just a few days ago and already has almost 3,000 reviews? Is that maybe an iOS 8 bug? Seems almost impossible.

In comparison a game that's been out nearly a year, Oceanhorn, has about the same number.

Game was a Let's Play hit on PC recently so I imagine a lot of people knew about the game when it released on IOS compared to some other IOS indie

Outgrowth

Thanks for this.
While it could use some polish expecially in the menus outside gameplay, the graphics are lovely (ISO GRAPHICS LOVE) and seems pretty solid and damn hard (I'm stuck at level 3).
I do not know if there will be more variation or a story (which would be cool) but so far it feels and plays like a realtime version of Hitman GO.

Got a brand new 6. Other than zen what's a good game to check out the updated hardware and metal?
Plunder Pirates is another, I'm currently playing this a bunch actually. It's technically a clash of clans clone but it's well made. It's published by Rovio under their 3-stars banner.

Broken Age is 1/2 off for $4.99, not sure how long the discount will last, guessing it will be for the weekend.
I picked this up and played it for a little while last night. What a beautiful game! I look forward to spending more time wi it.

I've been toying with this too. It's a little bit grindy for my liking. Like, wtf at 400 gems for a new builder's hut. But it is pretty.

Are there any games that render at the native resolution for the plus?

Infinity Blade 3,Asphalt 8,Modern Combat 5,Injustice,Tiger Woods Golf,GTA:San Andreas,Bioshock and Real Racing 3.Only Asphalt and MC are metal games but the rest look great as well.

Remember how we saying that big high-quality releases seem to come out throughout the week rather than just on Wednesday?

Here were my thoughts on the PC version:
Crimsonland is addictive, bloody, intense, and just one hell of a fun satisfying shooter.

In terms of story and gameplay, Crimsonland is as simple as can be. You and hordes of hundreds and hundreds of creatures on the battlefield, kill them all. But while the actual mechanis are not complex, Crimsonland adds a layer of strategy underneath the run and gun gameplay, turning a game that might seem shallow from the screenshots into a compelling thrilling experience. Every moment consists of countless decision. Which gun is best for the current situation? Should I rush for that power-up but risk having to run through a horde to reach it? Which order should I use power-ups? Which perks should I choose?

I think the most interesting aspect is how the varied enemies require you to totally change your tactics and influences the weapons and perks you'd want to use. It's not like some shooters where you can just get the most powerful weapon and kill everything. If you're facing fast spiders that replicate when they die, then you're going to want a weapon that's accurate and precise but that fires and reloads fast enough that they won't close the gap, and power-ups that focus on crowd control and defense. Hordes of zombies? You'll want to go for the spray and pray type weapons or explosives and all-out offensive power-ups. Thankfully your arsenal is just as varied as the enemies you face. Weapons range from a simple pistol and shotgun to all manner of flamethrowers, plasma cannons, automatic weapons, and even more exotic weapons. Power-ups slow time, shield you from damage, restore health, imbue your weapon with devastating plasma energy. The RPG-esque perk system offers diverse ways to customize your playstyle. Sacrifice health for damage, be faster, have more ammo, poison enemies, gain a melee attack, and many more perks make each survival attempt feel fresh and exciting

Not followed iOS gaming as much recently. Anyone know what happened to a gaffer made game I vaguely remember? It had a wind waker cartoony look and it was some sort of animal crossing style game or maybe village building?

Is the sorcery 1/2 and 80 days bundle worth it? Looking at the reviews people seem to be pretty divided about sorcery

buy sorcery 1 play it if you dont like it you only lost £3, and if you do like it the bundle price will be reduced by that £3 if you want to get it

Castaway Paradise? Looks like it's still only soft launched in Canada.

The IOS 8 bundles are really cool, especially the Complete A Bundle feature. I wish Humble Bundle allowed that. Finally got Rayman Fiesta Run and I think it might be my favorite (or least one of my favorite) auto runners. The animations are so fluid, the visuals are so vibrant and colorful, the levels are so well designed and dynamic.
