but instead it will be fully painted in the style of Elektra: Assassin by none other than Bill Sienkiewicz himself.
@jasonlatour
And yes... I'd could definitely write a lot more about our #SpiderGwen & her world.... If y'all want (wink, nudge, wink, devil emoticon)

Finished Hawkeye Volume 1. Really enjoyed the first 3 chapters but 4-5 were kinda eh.

The artist changed and 4-5 were a little too superheroy for me. Is volume 2 more like chapter 1-3 or 4-5?

Pulido only does issues 4, 5, and the Annual. In volume 2, Aja returns from 6-9, issue 10 is by Francavilla, then another Aja issue.

Definitely check out volume 2. Hawkeye stays good.

When did Uncanny X Force omni go out of print?? Just when I was able to go and buy an omni since my moving plans were put on hold. Damn it. Maybe Doom Patrol then.

Dunno but you could just wait for December and just buy the two paperback Complete Collections of X-Force. It's not the same as an omnibus but at least it's an option.

Doom Patrol is always a good choice either way!

Somehow totally missed that they were bringing Otto back for a bit in Superior.

Time to go snag me a copy.

Spider-Gwen was pretty neat.

I know, I was relieved to see that mentioned at the end of the book. I still hope she gets her own series. At least a mini.

They should keep her in the 616 as a replacement for Silk, and to beef up Pete's supporting cast, who will almost assuredly die during Spider-verse.

Jesus I never should have taken up this hobby,,, So expensive,, but its become a passion, love me some good art

Just bought this Batman Black & White Greg Capullo statue.
It was actually fairly difficult to find it, 90%+ of the websites were sold out,, the others wanted $100 plus... but I finally found it for a good price

Has Silk some strange Spider-Phermons or why is Peter suddenly so deep in love with her/wants to make out the whole time? And Felicia
is the new Kingpin
? Ugh.

Amazing Spider-Man is currently pure shit.

Wouldn't you be fairly horny if you were in captivity for years?

I dunno man. I dunno.

Oh, so in the past week I've read two Loeb/Sale books. Well, I read all of Superman: For All Seasons and the first third of The Long Halloween.

Sale is brilliant, but Loeb's writing is just pretty bad. I guess the plotting is good, but the dialogue is just pretty miserable.
Put me down on the side of "I think Long Halloween is really overrated" from that conversation a few days back.

With that said, I think I'm gonna finish it only because of Tim Sale's art.

Ah man, Long Halloween is my favorite Batman story. It's so good.

Also, started Uncanny X-Force. It's so good.

Well you have a point at least, it seemed also a couple of issues ago that she is some kind of Spider-Man Fanboy...

Kinda curious what will happen with her during Spider-Verse.
When I remeber correctly, she was refered as the new weaver in the middle of the web of life a couple of issues ago?

The Superior Spider-Man had this week a Backupstory involving Morlus Brothers and Sisters and their "feud" against the original weaver of the web. Maybe she will gain this position? I can also see her turn evil.

Ah man, Long Halloween is my favorite Batman story. It's so good.

I bought like one or two hundred comics from one of my buddies a couple months ago.
Bought all the Batman/Detective comics he had.
I have I think the first 8 issues of long Halloween and I really liked it, arts nice. I always hear a lot of mixed feeling about it. I plan on finding the rest to complete the series at some point.

So I haven't read any Futures End that's been truly terrible. Lemme see if I remember them all:
Batwing
Batman
Batman & Robin
Action Comics
Grayson

They are were all pretty interesting/fun alternafuture stories. Haven't hit one that has the kind of phoned in art the actual series has, so that's been good. Batman in particular was really pretty. Batman & Robin had a much better Nguyen than his work in Eternal. I think he might be DC's Larocca. Just doing too many books.

Anyway, I love this sort of thing, so none of them so far have really been crushingly boring. Kinda like them more than the main series, since they don't have to sustain any kind of narrative (which that book is really having trouble doing). Just, "Hey, wouldn't it be fun if…"

That said, Avengers #35 does it all better in a single issue, but I can't hold that against the initiative. 35 is probably up there with New X-Men #114 as one of my favorite single issues ever.

Just wish the digital versions included the before and after states of the covers. That's just lazysauce, DC.

Got a few more on my iPad I've yet to read, so I'll keep you posted.

Can I read Avengers #35 and not be totally lost of I didn't read the other 34 issues

Can I read chapter 12 of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire without having read the other books?
probably, depends on your ability to roll with weird shit

edit: really, you'd need to have read all of New Avengers too. Excellent, excellent books, sadly low on girly hijinx though :(

Y the last man spoilers.

To this day, I've a hard time fathoming the love this book gets. End of the world, one male left, and "HEY LETS HAVE CHARACTERS DEFENDING MONOGAMY".

smfh.

Oh I need some info on Ennis' Punisher. iirc he has done

- Marvel Knights, which starts out with 'Welcome back Frank', which is hear is pretty important
- Punisher Born short series
- Punisher MAX

It was only recently I realized he wrote 2 long runs on the character, and that the (OOP) omnibus only covers the Marvel Knights stuff. So I wonder: is everything a must read, both MK and MAX? And should you read MK before MAX? Because that's a whole lot of Punisher. But I'd probably love it since Preacher is one of my favorite series

Do not skip on Ennis's Fury Max either. Best left for after he's done with Punisher Max.
Tbh ennis's Fury is a mildly friendlier Castle.

Well iI guess I'll have to skip out. Everybook should have girly hijinx

I don't read all the Avengers but read #35 just fine..

But I also following New Avengers and Infinity :D

Btw yeah the Illuminati is pretty sexist, why there's no female anti-heroes that on their caliber?

I think the problem is, that there is almost none Female Marvel Character that would fit in the Illuminati Concept. The only I could think of is Emma Frost amd even she is far overshadowed by Scott as a Mutant in terms if who could represent the Mutants in the cable... Also she is considered as a baddie in the moment...

Actually Emma would be cool on either team. She could go diamond whenever they need to blow up an earth, turn her emotions off. Could maaaayyyyybe replace Black Panther with Shuri?

So I am new to the comics hobby and am currently catching up on my Marvel history, among other things. Anyway, I was wondering how long does it generally take Marvel to release trades? Do they always do trades for events like Original Sin? I want to read the story but am not sure if I should wait for the trade or buy the set from ebay. My comics shop is all sold out.

I wanna say the Original Sin hardcover should be out before the end of the year. For the love of all things holy, DO NOT pay more than list price for it.

OK thanks. Do the trades generally include side stories, like will it most likely include Iron Man vs. Hulk?

You can usually find out those kinds of things from product descriptions and solicits. In this case, the hardcover will collect Original Sin #0-8, and Original Sins #1-5.

They'll probably do one book with the main story then another with the tie-ins and stuff. But I'm not sure so I could definitely be wrong.
edit:and I was definitely wrong!

I'm gonna have to agree with Korupt, think I might be out on The Wicked and The Divine. I really enjoyed the first issue but every one since then has kind of failed to grab me. It's just not for me I guess.

I actually didnt thought about their fighting abilities. The concept of the Illuminati was a cabal of the most important representives of the superhuman community and I dont see a female character that would fit in this. Emma would be nice, but Scott is much more a symbol for Mutanthood, I would consider him right next to Charles Xaviar, but he is currently considered as one of the bad guys, so they had to take Beast?

I hope you all dont get me wrong, but you dont put Susan Richards in such a team when you could take Mr. Fantastic. Marvel just dosnt has to much female AAA Characters.

It's an excellent piece. It's our Batman too and Capullo will go down as a legendary artist for Batman.

The Original Sin HC is coming October 21st along with Original Sin: Hulk vs Iron Man on the same day. I think the TPB does not hit until April. Original Sin: Thor & Loki is coming in November 11th.

There is an Original Sin Companion book coming on December 2 which will include all the other tie-ins if you just want to have everything collected in 2 volumes.

I think it fits. These are the guys who have taken it upon themselves to do what they think no other heroes can do. They are the ones with the massive egos and think that only they are worthy of forming this Illuminati group. Considering who we are looking at, people like Tony Stark and Stephen Strange, it makes sense that there are no women in the group.

Hell, Norman Osborn's Cabal was more inclusive even if he was just using them.

I also not feeling much from The Wicked and The Divine, but this month issue rocks.. maybe the story just started to heating.

I thought this issue was decent, it didn't amaze me or wow me much.
But it made me want to check out the next issue to see what
Luci is going to do now that she's out of jail,, start fucking shit up?!
.

I'll give you the same advice I give all newbies - do not buy tie in issues/series. They are for the most part just cash grabs. I never read any of them for Original Sin and I didn't feel the need for them at all. The same goes for pretty much every event I can think of.

Also FYI, event books like Original Sin are often not the best comics (although I really enjoyed OS myself, many didn't). IMO you'd be far better off reading a more self contained series that is it's own thing. For me, The current Avengers run is a fantastic event book that is much more self contained and coherent.

And of course, all just my opinion and I definitely spent the first few years if my comics career only reading big event books. Bit I was also a super easily impressed kid :P
