Yes. Well, $330.
So, is 970 the new 8800gt? Price seems ok, if it translates around 320euros here in Netherelands.
And there is no tax added after the fact ?
I think the 100 bucks increase here is due to VAT, is that non-issue in US?
I really hate our governmentGreedy and incompetent.

Gonna make good use of this right away (really EVGA?)
Poster isn't that bad:
And finally finished putting them in:
Did a quick run in Heaven and the performance is outstanding compared to my single 680. Probably gonna try Watch Dogs now. One question to the SLI pros, is it ok that I installed the cards into slot 1 and 2? EVGA manual says to use the outer slots, but the bridge (and space in the case) didn't really allow that.
Caseking. Tried getting the Gigabyte model from Alternate, but the order status was in constant limbo.
Not just VAT, import Tax too.
You have to pay tax at the retail checkout in US - i.e all the price are before VAT. Not sure about the online shopping.
28A*12V=336W. More than enough for a 165W card. How much amperage on 12V you guys think its needed to use a 970 GTX?
Friend of mine has 8 year old 520W OCZ power supply with 28A on 12V which he uses with a GTX 660 and now he wants to upgrade, but he thinks he'll need to buy a new one as both him and me think that 28A won't handle a 970 card.

It will handle it, no problems what so ever.

How much does 970 actually cost in US ? Is it really 329 ?
Because here in Czechland it goes for 420, same as new 290.
Second hand 290 (practically new, with 2 years warranty) can be gotten for 320, which seems to me like much better deal. Of course if I could get 970 for US prices then that would be preferable.
350w is enough for a 970
The 980 I bought is already out of stock on NewEgg. Saves me the trouble of impulse buying a 2nd one for SLI today. I think I'll wait on that for a while.
Thoughts on moving from my current 2-way SLI 780Ti setup to a 3-way 970 setup?
570 to a 970. Let's do this!!
I'm also on a 570 right now. Havent been in the market for a card in a couple years so I'm totally out of the loop with what the new hotness is all about.
Right now I have dual screens but I was wanting to add a third, maybe even a fourth line going out to my TV. Can't do it right now with my current card.
I see in the specs that it supports up to 4 screens but has just one DVI-I and one HDMI, the rest are displayport.
I've never used that connector before and I don't think any of my stuff supports it. Is it easy/cheap to get adapters?
What's the reason for waiting Windows 9?Anyone think I should jump on one of these right now or do you think I should wait till Windows 9 comes out? Or will that not be for months?

Everything makes sense in theory, but we still want to know how Maxwell achieves better efficiency at this magnitude. Kepler already adjusted the GPU’s voltage quickly and exactly depending on its load and temperature, and AMD’s PowerTune did the same thing as well. It turns out that Maxwell refines the formula further. With its shaders fully utilized, the new architecture's advantage over Kepler practically vanishes. So, Maxwell depends on its superior ability to adjust to changing loads, and, consequently, it’s able to tailor the power consumption even better to the needs of the application in question. The more variance there is, the better Maxwell fares.
To illustrate, let’s take a look at how Maxwell behaves in the space of just 1 ms. Its power consumption jumps up and down repeatedly within this time frame, hitting a minimum of 100 W and a maximum of 290 W. Even though the average power consumption is only 176 W, the GPU draws almost 300 W when it's necessary. Above that, the GPU slows down.
What's the reason for waiting Windows 9?
Pretty sure you won't see Windows 9 until next year, and that shouldn't really influence any hardware purchases.
Depends on the state you live in, in general it will be another 4-8% added on top of that.
Just ordered the MSI 970. Should be a nice upgrade from my 560ti!
Forgot to also add that I'd love to just just to the next Intel processor as well (Broadwell?), but that won't be for a while either.
It's also because with this, I want to get a new computer case (NZXT H440), an external BD Burner (to replace my internal since I can't have it in the H440) and maybe a Corsair H90...
Sorry, it's just that I've looked forward to a full upgrade for a while haha.
Regardless, I think I'm going to wait for the ACX 2.0 version of EVGA's 970.
Hmmm... ordered 2 970's from Newegg, order has been stuck in "Order Verification" for 5 hours now. Getting a bit worried...
No it's not.

You're going to burn people's houses down if you keep saying stuff like that.
Hmm, should a 650 watt power supply be enough for the 970? I bought a 570 earlier this year for my first build, and this is really tempting.
