Shadow of Mordor deserves more attention. Come in and be hyped with me.

Maybe it will have long legs through positive word of mouth.

I think that's all it needs. I've played it a month ago, was just utterly amazing back then. The visuals, sound and smoothness the mechanics. All on a PS4. I already pre-ordered it for PC but for those getting it for a PS4, it will be just as amazing.

Considering they arent sending out review copies of the PC version I have no reason to gamble on an already iffy game. After it bombs ill pick it up for nothing. That is the best course of action. Wait a bit.

I'm warming to this game more and more. It might be a good game to test out my new GTX970(s) when it/they arrive. The Australian price on the game is horrendous though so I'd need to find a good price somewhere.

Do devs/pubs usually send out PC review copies on all of their multiplatform games? They're showing plenty of gameplay on the Nvidia stream and they've have a longstanding relationship with the PC. Why would you be worried about it just because they aren't sending copies for every platform?

Didn't they show over an hour of the PC version just yesterday? Considering it was the lead development platform AND Monolith have a great history with the PC I'd say there is nothing to worry about. That said, it still couldn't hurt till release to pick it up anyways.

That's probably a smart choice, but they could just be paranoid about reviewers leaking their copies.

Monolith, you have my axe!

So I have a question and I don't know if it's been answered.

Are warchiefs the highest tier of orcs? Or does it go higher? I know there are those 3 Big Bads, but I didn't know if there was anything in between.

Haven't watched the Game 24 stream but does PC version seem alright?

Looked great, just like the PS4 version from what I could tell. They showed a new area, too, that looked like the outskirts of the black gate. It was awesome looking.

I could only watch a little bit of it which is really unfortunate. I want to see the rest of the stream so I hope it gets archived.

edit: Oh, here it is; starts at 11 hours and 18 minutes.

This looks really good, i'm waiting for some reviews to decide if this is a release window or steam sale kind of purchase. So far the gameplay looks excellent.

The Season Pass has a 30% discount on Steam until September 22.

Now, let me explain something.

Let's say that you took advantage of one of the GMG coupons for the base game and purchased it from there. Naturally, this means that you don't own the game on Steam yet. If you attempt to buy the Season Pass from Steam, you will get an error message saying that you need to own the base game first before you can purchase the DLC. So what to do?

Here is how you get around that: purchase the 30% discounted Season Pass as a gift and store it in your Steam Inventory. Then when you activate the base game, all you have to do is add the Season Pass to your Steam Library.

Man the more I see of this game the more I want it, but I still am cautious about it. The only thing I can do is wait for reviews.

Oh cool, he's using the Ranger outfit that comes with pre-orders too, looks awesome.

Has there been any word on what the Season Pass will be? I have seen some people on CAG selling it for $10 but not sure if it is just going to be challenge/score type stuff (which is not for me) or something with actual story type content.

I think someone in the Steam thread pre-ordered the base game, then bought the season pass, then got a refund on the base game pre-order, and the season pass was still on their account, I think that worked for that person, but don't quote me on that because I'm not 100% sure, you can try asking in the Steam thread and see what they say before you try that.

The way I suggested is infinitely easier :p

The Bright Lord mission sounds great.

Decided to go for it since it is so cheap right now. Hope it turns out to be worthwhile content!

I doubt I'll get the season pass, but if any of the DLCs are really intriguing (like those two story missions), I might get those individually.

Not getting burned on season passes ever again. I might get the story missions and some Talion skins individually, but fuck challenge rooms.

I tend to agree with this but did you check out the challenge stuff they did on the Nvidia stream? It looked a lot more interesting to me than your typical challenge room stuff since it covers the whole zone in essence. Some of the other challenge stuff could be the typical "room" stuff but at least part of them looks interesting.

Thanks for the info! I'm sold on the game, so I'm trying to avoid more game footage. I'll check it out once I have played the game for a bit.

GamersGate has the season pass for $17.50. I have 12200 coins. If I buy the lowest coin pack for $5 I'll be 300 coins short. That is annoying.

Already preloaded on Xbox One. Will wait for a bit before I do any season pass nonsense.

I'm really pleased how this game is turning out and love the attention it's getting from GAF.

Is this canon? Can I play as Sauron? Am I a dudebro?
A 'Fall of Numenor' dlc could swing this. I'm unsure of his dudebro status.

I was waiting for the Dragon Age game to release before getting a ps4. If this is the real deal I'll bump that schedule up. I couldn't think of a better way to get this gen started.
