I had to force myself to complete farming 64 relic irons, I know the pain.
The only exception I was thinking of, really, was an exotic quest where I had to buy a 50 ammo packs...
Yeah it's useless...

I've played the game 40+ hours(according to the XB1 tracker) and I've only seen 2 legendary engrams. I've reached the vanguard mark weekly limit and still haven't got anything useful. I did get a legendary fusion rifle from crucible, but I've got 75 marks this week and still haven't received anything else. Patrol missions usually get me nothing but greens and occasional blues.
I'm wondering how some of you guys are finding 10+ legendary engrams so quickly much less opening them all at the same time. Atleast I'm almost at level 2 of FWC so I can start buying legendary items, but man the legendary drop rate for this game sucks. And I forgot to mention the second legendary engram I got was from farming the "cave of wonders" and of course it turned out to be a blue smh. I feel like I might as well just play crucible even if it's my least favorite mode in the game because atleast I got SOMETHING there.
Also, what is the quickest way to get motes of light? I'm so close to being able to buy an exotic engram. I just need to get a few more.

Void fusion rifle, rumble(just 5 other people in the match and every one is a target, I found this preferable). Each kill is 4-5 points, each death loses 2 points.

Relics = Mars
Shards = Weekly Heroic 26+, blue and purple engrams, pvp, public events (only once per day), daily mission, weekly nightfall, raids give a shit ton too

You mean the spirit blooms? Yeah, that wasn't a very good farming experience either. The only positive about it was that I got a legendary engram.

I got the shader that was a bunch of numbers (18327496-64703388), blue and yellow. Looks alright.
I was actually brainstorming a decent way to handle this, especially since the main source of money here is basically pointless due to so many various alternatives(marks, motes, strange coins) that are used instead.
I would have made a merchant that can sell these materials, but at a somewhat ripoff price. Then I would have another group that can actually go to the planets for you and get some, with various "risk" levels, the highest being most expensive and having the highest material payout. At some point if the risk triggers, it would function as an on the fly mission where a huge firefight would be happening and you would have to save them. If you ignored it, you may have paid for an expedition that never comes back and gives you nothing, or there is still a chance they make it. Maybe even have it so you can send a gun or something that you don't need anymore to drastically improve their survival if you ignore it, or additional glimmer on bodyguards.
That's just a super rough concept off the top of my head, but it's crazy that there's no alternative to straight up farming these materials. Obviously that is not everyone's cup of tea, but they can't do anything about it. Atleast the above has some potential for emergent gameplay, or can be ignored entirely(at a higher cost to feel more fair).

I haven't even touched the Crucible, and I hadn't planned on it anytime soon, but I guess I'll have to for this.Finished my Bad Juju quest, took me around 2 hours of crucible to finish last part, but I did pretty well I think, always stayed above 1.5KDR:

Vanguard strikes and heroics are your friend, also try to find the times for public events to max out your weekly Vanguard limit

Need dem strange coins!Striker Titan is growing on me for PvE. Flashbang is just damn good; I bought that helm for Striker stuff but Armamentarium is so hard to unequip just to be able to toss flashbangs so often.
On a different note, I'm having a hard time finding an exotic weapon I really care about. I was excited to get Super Good Advice but the recoil is bad even by HMG standards. The Pocket Infinity I'm working on now apparently has awful charge time, and like the heavy slot will have to get benched for certain content. All of the primaries seem like they will take a backseat to the raid primaries that can roll an element. Doesn't help that I love shotguns in most games and here they are just dreadful in PvE.

Level second subclass faster. In this case, the four bounties would unlock the first three skills of my Sunsinger class and get me to level 16.
It was my first time out of crucible in a week bah.
Because Vanguard, along with Crucible, only have once source of rep, whilst Factions have two.
