Cool. Online now on PS4. Getting the raid group set up.

Looking for Level 26+ folks. Starting from the beginning. For people who haven't cleared any of it yet. Gonna give it 2 or 3 hours before calling it quits.

PSN: Afrodeeziyak.

Either PM me or talk to me via PSN/Friend Request.

It says we're now friends on my PSN app but can't see it on Destiny itself :(

Only need one more strange coin for an exotic... weekly strike is far too hard (mainly the phase with 3 wizards during Phogarth)
:(

Do the "cheese" method where you stay in the room where the door opens, and don't go into the arena at all. Then just run in to the previous room when the shrieker appears on the ceiling and it will disappear after a few seconds as will any knights that enter the room.

That feeling when you complete the 500 kills with void damage bounty. Phew, glad that's behind me. One more bounty till' thorn.

Wasn't that bad in Rumble imho. Fusion rifle with void damage. I didn't even use my grenades/punch as a voidwalker much. I'm telling the woof and nothing but the woof.

I think that is his point.

Not a good point then because farming=speed has been a thing always. Dark Souls had a famous farming spot to get a crapload of souls. And even if the game was tons of fun, many of people did it for hours. Farming spots will always exist, regardless of the game.

Has there been any talk on how the first big DLC is going to be handled as far is level requirements etc.? Will it be for only max leveled characters or will it be scalable? I have some friends that will be jumping in around XMAS time and that is when the first DLC is suppose to drop.

Also, does anyone else think they should add more difficulty options for all the story missions and have them tagged (Easy for Characters Level 3-8) etc. or something like that? It would be fun to run through the Story again, but with chances of better loot, but also a challenge for higher level characters.

Even better, you can crouch between the 2 rooms, where the sentry spawn and the room behind, you can still hit the boss from there and the sentry will never spawn, you just sit on your ass all day firing at the boss, easy gg, i've cleared all difficulty alone like this, you just have to take some amunition packages with you.

That's still pretty grindy, though.

Also, the fact that the best/only way to get top-tier gear reliably is to buy it is... discouraging. It kind of breaks that psychological loop that loot games rely on. That's why you see so many people doing the Skywatch farm, even knowing that it's probably pointless; it still feels better.
If you only play a few hours per day you'll always be knocking off bounties and make reputation progress while going through the game normally, jumping between story/strikes/patrol and crucible. That's what I've done and I'm nearly level 2 on both Crucible and Vanguard without really feeling like it's been a grind at all.

Obviously I've been dying to actually FIND a legendary for a while now, but I've had no such luck and at least I've been making constant progression towards actually getting one (which help me do daily/weekly challenges and eventually the raid) instead of spending all that time shooting at a cave which is basically surrendering completely to the RNG gods.

I just had a purple turn into exotic chest armor. It's for a hunter though. Lucky Raspberry it's called. I have no plans on creating a second character because it takes too long to build rep. Dismantling it.

What do exotics dismantle into usually?

Any game like this has farming spot but if the reward were better than people would not do them as much. Why would you do a level 26 strike for a hour when there is no chance of a good reward.

So you guys know about the shader preview site right?

http://db.destinytracker.com/character

Is there a similar site to view the hairstyles?
Specifically from the back?

I hate making a character and having no idea wtf the back of their head is going to look like until I pass the intro, get into orbit and finally get to the tower.

Oh they need to give better rewards for strikes, that we can agree on. But having fun with a challenge still can exist for some.

If the rewards were better people will still farm. Why work your ass off when you can literally shot at a cave for hours and still get the same amount of rewards compared to people doing the Weekly Heroic/Nightfall?

Upgrade each of them. You should be able to reach 26 easily with all legendaries/exotic without having to spend ascendant shards. Now if you want to reach level 27, you might have to spend some ascendant shards. But you'll have to use them for a bit, get their 'free' shield upgrades, each gives you +2 light.

I believe you have to upgrade them for more light.

Thanks guys. Relief.

Huh, so I just joined a Clash match and at first I thought I was the only one who spawned, turns out I just couldn't see anybody else. Both fireteams were full with everyone stuck on 0 :lol.

This isn't true, people will farm out of ignorance as much as they will because they simply like farming.

I've had none (zero, none) usable legendaries come from any blue or purple engram. Several for other classes!

I'm level 28 and all of my armor is from rep/mark/coin rewards.

I just had a second Exotic bounties pop up. I picked Invective (the shotgun) this time. I still have Bad JuJu to do. Are either of these even good?

Am I just oblivious to itor is there some way to set some loadouts for PvP or to remove certain maps from circulation for me to play?

It sure says something about your game when people would rather sit outside a cave and shoot the same two enemies for an hour rather than play a mission. There are just so many counter-intuitive decisions made with absolutely no reasonable justification. Require online connections so you can see other players, but interact with them in no meaningful way. Waste precious engrams on items for classes you aren't playing, yet allow no trading or gifting. Make purple engrams extremely rare, yet make a legendary yield unlikely. A blending of genres is supposed to take the best of other genres. You can blame the community for not emphasizing Vanguard/Crucible/Faction reputation, but I'd put the responsibility on Bungie for not properly incentivizing it.

This is my primary gripe of this game. The game comes to a screeching halt at level 24. To get legendaries and progress it's grind vanguard marks and reps (but then you have to contend with the stupid 100 Mark weekly limit), buy an exotic from Xur once a week, or try to get a legendary engram and hope for the best.

From what I understand, no story mission or strike you can do at 24 will consistently (if ever) give you legendaries. It's all just rares which are useless at 24 (in terms of armor) and often times nothing at all.

I think Bungie knows this is an issue and that's why the treasure cave has not been patched-- yet. But how this could escape play testing is beyond me.

Complaints that I had during alpha and beta and voiced to Bungie and here on GAF and was told it would not be an issue have started showing up.

Being a fucking waste of space and cost of my time is now the norm. Whenever dong a low level strike to get the bounty to not die pops up, I see more and more of the idiots that just wait at the start of the strike till we get to the end and then come in to help or more often then not just wait till the last boss is dead too.

This dickhole just sat there on his speeder. And why, because I can't have a proper kick feature. Yeah this would never be a problem. Fuck after all the shit Blizzard has found out about people interaction, not even having to work for them, just playing their games, Bungie still fucks up on things to add in this game. Inactivity timeouts are useless, I want an actual kick option.

So Xyor is no joke. That entire mission is the real deal. The final room? Good luck if you aren't packing arc damage and solar damage AND ammo packs.

Any tips on how to do that room? 25/25/26 stood no chance.

When the best way to get stuff in a loot game is buying stuff than there a problem. Spending hours doing bounties and farming marks are not that fun.

And farming a low level cave is? I haven't farmed anything and I'm level 27. I've just played a big mixture of everything the game offers and geared up over time.

This is a hilarious attitude.

Spending hours farming mobs is fun, spending hours doing bounties, patrols, chest farming, resource farming, public events, crucible matches, strikes, weeklies, dailies is not fun.

Ok. Whatever you say.
