I thought you could buy one Strange coin per week?
So all three factions are tied to doing PvP...why?
Any reputation you get goes toward the faction as long as you're wearing their shit. I think they still need Crucible marks though.

Cool. Online now on PS4. Getting the raid group set up.
Looking for Level 26+ folks. Starting from the beginning. For people who haven't cleared any of it yet. Gonna give it 2 or 3 hours before calling it quits.
PSN: Afrodeeziyak.
Either PM me or talk to me via PSN/Friend Request.
Looking to do the level 26 weekly with anyone. PSN: Suirrad
Dammit, they're not working. Ugh this sucks. We're ready to rock too....![]()
Or it means it takes far less effort to farm.
Only need one more strange coin for an exotic... weekly strike is far too hard (mainly the phase with 3 wizards during Phogarth)

But they're not...
Yes, I just got my first exotic bounty. I was so excited when it popped up. It's A voice in the Wilderness, problem is I have no idea how to start this. Just go searching Random crates on Mars?

That feeling when you complete the 500 kills with void damage bounty. Phew, glad that's behind me. One more bounty till' thorn.
I think that is his point.
Do the "cheese" method where you stay in the room where the door opens, and don't go into the arena at all. Then just run in to the previous room when the shrieker appears on the ceiling and it will disappear after a few seconds as will any knights that enter the room.
If you only play a few hours per day you'll always be knocking off bounties and make reputation progress while going through the game normally, jumping between story/strikes/patrol and crucible. That's what I've done and I'm nearly level 2 on both Crucible and Vanguard without really feeling like it's been a grind at all. That's still pretty grindy, though.
Also, the fact that the best/only way to get top-tier gear reliably is to buy it is... discouraging. It kind of breaks that psychological loop that loot games rely on. That's why you see so many people doing the Skywatch farm, even knowing that it's probably pointless; it still feels better.
They do require Crucible marks if I recall.
I just had a purple turn into exotic chest armor. It's for a hunter though. Lucky Raspberry it's called. I have no plans on creating a second character because it takes too long to build rep. Dismantling it.
Hell yes. The FR system is working. Gonna send some invites for the raid.
Any game like this has farming spot but if the reward were better than people would not do them as much. Why would you do a level 26 strike for a hour when there is no chance of a good reward.Wasn't that bad in Rumble imho. Fusion rifle with void damage. I didn't even use my grenades/punch as a voidwalker much. I'm telling the woof and nothing but the woof.
Not a good point then because farming=speed has been a thing always. Dark Souls had a famous farming spot to get a crapload of souls. And even if the game was tons of fun, many of people did it for hours. Farming spots will always exist, regardless of the game.

Upgrade each of them. You should be able to reach 26 easily with all legendaries/exotic without having to spend ascendant shards. Now if you want to reach level 27, you might have to spend some ascendant shards. But you'll have to use them for a bit, get their 'free' shield upgrades, each gives you +2 light.
I believe you have to upgrade them for more light.
True, but you can buy them if you don't to do PvP.
Finally hit 26. Space Cowboy.

It sure says something about your game when people would rather sit outside a cave and shoot the same two enemies for an hour rather than play a mission. There are just so many counter-intuitive decisions made with absolutely no reasonable justification. Require online connections so you can see other players, but interact with them in no meaningful way. Waste precious engrams on items for classes you aren't playing, yet allow no trading or gifting. Make purple engrams extremely rare, yet make a legendary yield unlikely. A blending of genres is supposed to take the best of other genres. You can blame the community for not emphasizing Vanguard/Crucible/Faction reputation, but I'd put the responsibility on Bungie for not properly incentivizing it.
Damn just got my second warlock exotic armour piece only to find out you can only equip one exotic at a time =(
This isn't true, people will farm out of ignorance as much as they will because they simply like farming.
I've had none (zero, none) usable legendaries come from any blue or purple engram. Several for other classes!
I'm level 28 and all of my armor is from rep/mark/coin rewards.
When the best way to get stuff in a loot game is buying stuff than there a problem. Spending hours doing bounties and farming marks are not that fun.
One might be better than another for a different spec or for pvp?
They require C marks to get gear right? Soo
