Damn just got my second warlock exotic armour piece only to find out you can only equip one exotic at a time =(

Did you just come to a forum filled with people who have the worst luck with RNG and don't even own one piece of exotic, to complain about your #firstworldproblems of having too many exotics and not being able to choose which to use?

LOL

And farming a low level cave is? I haven't farmed anything and I'm level 27. I've just played a big mixture of everything the game offers and geared up over time.

This is a hilarious attitude.

Spending hours farming mobs is fun, spending hours doing bounties, patrols, chest farming, resource farming, public events, crucible matches, strikes, weeklies, dailies is not fun.

Ok. Whatever you say.

Pretty sure he (and people who agree with him, such as myself) are saying is that it'd be more fun to earn that loot through drops on high-level missions, rather than just playing them over and over and over and over again for marks, and then turning in those marks at a shop.

Where did I say farming mobs was fun?

2-3 of my pieces have come from strikes/nightfall.

I got one piece from farming. One. Others were for other classes or useless (Legendary armor while I wear an Exotic).

The rest was all bullshit. I got most pieces by doing Strikes/PVP/Weeklies etc. I basically bought them.

Complaints that I had during alpha and beta and voiced to Bungie and here on GAF and was told it would not be an issue have started showing up.

Being a fucking waste of space and cost of my time is now the norm. Whenever dong a low level strike to get the bounty to not die pops up, I see more and more of the idiots that just wait at the start of the strike till we get to the end and then come in to help or more often then not just wait till the last boss is dead too.

This dickhole just sat there on his speeder. And why, because I can't have a proper kick feature. Yeah this would never be a problem. Fuck after all the shit Blizzard has found out about people interaction, not even having to work for them, just playing their games, Bungie still fucks up on things to add in this game. Inactivity timeouts are useless, I want an actual kick option.

Yeah well, its also Bungies fault. Same for camping Heavy ammo because a bounty demands it.

I did one and need to do 4 flawless runs more. I just play normally, however. But I do take less risks. Luckily Nexus is not hard. A problem I run into is that there will be people farming the walkway forever, and leave once they notice the other players are there for completion.

Fix this shit, Guerrilla.

Remote Play was made for farming. I'm currently at the cave on my Vita while I work on my essay for class. This is great.

Well the gloves I'll give you but yeah the chest is entirely RNG and it pisses me off so much that I wasted my motes of light in hopes of getting it only to get a hunter chest that was already being sold by him. Fuck you game I'm still sour.

Also the fact they sold the gloves 2 weeks in a row. I wanted something new. The other two classes got something new why did Warlocks get fucked?

Hey guys! I am just a couple of steps from getting Invectus, an exotic shotgun. need to complete one run of the weekly strike - will do the lowest level (22)

Anyone care to help me out? PS4: TheTylerDurden

Just wanted to show off a bit. So I bought the exotic rocket launcher from the vender, and now I have an exotic for each weapon slot
(to bad I can't have all 3 on at the same time.).
The Ice Breaker is probably my favorite for now, as even before leveling it, I do massive damage, sometimes north of 4,000+ damage with head/crit shots.
The MIDA Multi-Tool is pretty good so far. As the radar stays up even when I am looking down the sights, it helps a lot with risk management.
The rocket launcher is the newest to the group, and is really good, but without its abilities active, its just another RPG.

If you guys get your crucible points up, you can't go wrong in buying the Zombie Apocalypse. Its a fantastic machine gun, and has stability that would surprise most.

Check my character out for the full rundown. It is still a work in progress, but I like the direction so far.

For the other 2 exotics, I will link them here for others to review.
  1. Ice Breaker
  2. Gjallarhorn

Dat RNG.
I've been farming with some guys for over one hour. One of them got 4 Legendaries, the other two, me nothing,

The Nightfall Strike offers guaranteed awesome loot, as does the raid.

L24 strikes are your entry point to gearing up, not your end destination, they can be cleared incredibly quickly once you're geared up.

You don't have to play strikes over and over for marks, you can do many activities to earn them.

Should they add more level 26-30 content with guaranteed good rewards? Sure!

But there already are events you can tackle with good, guaranteed rewards, and many different things you can do to earn rep and marks.

Nice man! Ice breaker just dropped for me on crucible while I was doing the Invectus bounty. I was floored. An exotic dropped very next round for someone on my team.

But the Nightfall is level 26-30. The problem is at level 22-26, where you're basically either a) grinding marks (and I'm pretty sure that the Vanguard Strikes are the only decent way to get them), or b) relying on RNGesus.

I'm sure Bungie will do something to make Strikes more worthwhile, because they are just a waste of time. I like how I can just go AFK by the loot cave and do something else while some randoms do all the work for me, and an event likely every 30 minutes for the only material I need. Excellent design.

Start using it... START USING IT NOW!!!
The thing is BEAST!
Can not stress enough how awesome this sniper rifle is.

Also, what happens when you hit the 100 Mark cap? I did yesterday, spent what I had and want to play, not farm, but what do I play? I'm not yet geared up enough for the raid and probably not the nightfall strike either. So what do I do, a level 24 strike to try and get blue armor? It's useless for me.

There's an issue here between levels 24-26, where the game comes to a screeching halt. At the very least, there should be a level 24, or 26 strike that gives you the chance to get legendary armor. I'd be playing that right now. Truth is, when you've hit the mark cap, the only real option to get legendary gear is to farm.

Just found a chest with 8 relic iron in it and a blue engram. Fuck yeah. Saved me time.

I was farming Helium Coils to upgrade my legendary gear and I needed a pile of it, like 80 total. Right around the point where i hit 80 I got one of those sweet loot chests that gave me like 11 so I figured eh, may as well get to 16 again. Opened another few chests, hit another double loot chest, figured eh, may as well get to 32. Opened another few chests, hit yet another double, got a ship and blue engrams. Wound up with like 140 helium :D

If they would just fix the damn VIP Patrol Grimoire reward, we could get mats from clearing patrols too, which would make material turn-ins an even more awesome source of xp and marks.

So few people even understand what the grimoire rewards are though, I can't get any visibility of the bug to bungie. I tried tweeting it to them, but it's a drop in the ocean.

Sounds like me exactly. I haven't had a single legendary drop ever. I'm level 23. I have one pair of legendary boots for a hunter. Too bad I'm a Titan.

I was right there with you so don't worry too much. Didn't see my first legendary until level 24. And still I've only seen 5 or 6 total in 53 hours of play.

Just hit 20. Absolutely zero fanfare and absolutely no explanation of how to progress from here. This pretty much sums up the game for me. You shouldn't need to go online to learn how to play the game...

So Xyor is no joke. That entire mission is the real deal. The final room? Good luck if you aren't packing arc damage and solar damage AND ammo packs.

Any tips on how to do that room? 25/25/26 stood no chance.
We did this one with 27/25/25; Radiance Warlock, Defender Titan, Bladedancer Hunter, respectively. Arc and solar secondaries/heavies are essential. Fusion rifles with arc for the knights and solar snipers for wizards works well, though any preferred combination will suffice. For us the key was to keep Phogoth distracted (Hunter's role) while the Warlock and the Titan killed as many enemies as possible. Warlock used self-revived in case we wiped, while the bubble shield was used for emergency health-regen or risky revives. When you first enter the room, the far left corner has a few rocks against the wall in which you can safely hide from everything but wizards while the pillar on the platform you first enter has a two holes in it from which you can shoot through and Phogoth can't shoot back. We just moved around the map as necessary. But the key is to keep Phogoth out of the picture for as long as possible. I'm sure there is a way to end that mission by sitting in a room and shooting out like an asshole, but we had more fun.

I cleared the Nightfall at 25. Strikes are not the only way to get them. Public Events give 4, Material turn ins give 5.

10 strikes and 10 public events caps marks for the week, ignoring any extras for material turn ins or the weekly strikes.

There is a chance for getting legendary armor from the strike actually, it's just really small (just as it is from engrams :/).

It's a 200 mark cap, not 100, go cap your crucible marks as well. Meantime, work on raising your faction reps.

Hitting rank 3+ gives guaranteed legendary rewards, plus the unlocks to buy legendary armor/weapons.

You can be fully geared in legendary+exotic gear in a little over a week if you cap marks and gather coins.
