What? Ive been in this thread. Im lvl 24 and I've been enjoying parts of the game. But it really is a pretty bad game. The only good thibg about is the actual gunplay and the worlds.

I can understand if people enjoy the game but really watch the video, he makes a ton of great points that no fan of Destiny can ignore or claim that those points are untrue.

You just said it literally "sucks balls". This is why people have trouble taking you seriously.

You can't jibe "I'm 24 and the game has good parts" with "sucks balls".

At least I can't. Maybe everyone else is cool with it and find it makes sense.

I'm not being obtuse. I'm not agressive. I want Bungie to step up and acknowledge these flaws and explain what happened or make a damn update to patch some of these features. I want the game to stay relevant as I enjoy playing it. But sticking our heads in the sands and having "faith" in bungie has only led to a broken,deeply flawed but fun game.

If Bungie are not made aware of hhw badly they failed in some spots they wont improve jack shit.

I'm fairly certain many people have made it abundantly clear that there are things to improve. And they've done it without sounding stupid screaming that the game "sucks balls". None of us believe the game is perfect. But it's not the worst thing to ever happen either. It's a decent game, hence why we're still playing and enjoying it. If I felt it sucked, I wouldn't be playing it, because that's what I do with genuinely bad games.

Destiny is, more or less, what I expected it to be. It needs some improving, but I wasn't expecting some groundbreaking game the likes we've never seen before. Nor was I expecting an amazing epic. I was expecting a shooter with decent gameplay, loot, levels and the like. I also quite enjoyed the raid even though the strikes and story missions fall flat. Hopefully future content will be more interesting like the raid, instead of press square and shoot at waves/bulletsponge boss.

Ugh, I think I'm done with PvE in this game. It's so unsatisfying and boring. The bullet-sponge enemies don't require any real strategy to kill, just time. Thank god for PvP. It's a shame I need to get the materials in PvE to upgrade my items... Fuck.

Yes calling someone else names wasn't being aggressive. Also you weren't being constructive or making any points, just "this game sucks dick". Again most people in here are very much aware of the games shortcomings and they have been pointed out and talked about in these OT's. It's not suppose to be and hadn't been a 'circle jerk', but leading with this game sucks dick isn't the way to create meaningful discussion.

I imagine that Iron Banner will be a weekend/monthly event at some point. I'm a bit surprised they haven't bothered opening it up yet since people are maxing out quickly.

Why would I watch the video? What is the point? I know the problems the game has for myself. I know what problems I have with it and what works for me.

Why do I need to give some guy views on his video to hear him talk about his opinions on something I already have my opinion on? It makes no sense. There is no reason for me to watch it after having spent 2 days played with this game and having an amazing two weeks since it came out.

Story missions gain the heroic modifier when you increase their difficulty. All story missions have a few level options, doing any of them besides the default will add heroic.

The more realistic answer for me is my standards and patience for Destiny are a sine wave that varies day to day. Sometimes I have a lot of fun, other times I struggle to figure out why I bother to play a game that's mostly a collection of parts and ideas that don't always gel together. Even vanilla PSO was more put-together than Destiny and that game was made 10+ years ago.

Again: not everyone puts the same weight to things as others.

One person's "glaring fault" is another's "mild frustration".

Surely you can understand this?

Destiny has a terrible story and writing.
It has annoying AI behaviours like the short tethers to position.
It has issues with its loot designs (double dice roll is just malicious).
It has poor server stability.
It has some bland mission design.
etc...

Yet despite all these flaws, many of us are still enjoying the game a great deal. Sometimes things add to more than the sum of their parts. Have you never experienced liking something despite the fact it has obvious flaws?

Void shotgun or fusion rifle makes this easier if you're a hunter. I'm in the same boat as you right now with neither of those weapons.
