Why rely on RNG?
You can play Crucible and get the rep/marks up fairly quickly and just buy better gear.
Crucible (or Faction) reputation is earned for every Crucible match complete. 25 for a win, 10 for a loss.rep up fairly quickly.. Crucible?
Explain.
There is one advantage to being fully decked out in exotic and legendary gear, when you find a legendary engram and it decrypts to a blue, green, strange coin or mote of light, you no longer give a fuck, cause you have it made.

I assume you mean random loot from engrams (of course you need loot to level up).
while this may be how you feel it is not how the game is designed. if that makes it less enjoyable for you, it makes it less enjoyable for you. it doesn't make it bad. furthermore, loot from the nightfall strike will be viable to progress and loot from the raid is required to reach 30.
Speaking as someone who really enjoys Rumble, I just want to say I have no problem with this at all. It's just easy kills from my hand cannon. Go for it.
Don't do it in a team mode.
And what do you do when you have all the gear you want? Serious question here.
This is not true for the Daily Heroic Story, which gives you more guaranteed Ascendant Materials, and the Weekly Heroic Strike, which gives you more Strange Coins, the higher level of each you do.Nope, it's pretty pointless upping the difficulty unless it gives you a specific reward. You will only get more XP for motes of light from higher level kills.

Assuming you went through the raid to get said gear, take a break until more stuff goes into the game.
I will alert The Place Where Dreams Go To Die at onceOH SHIT. I JUST GOT A LEGENDARY ENGRAM. FUCKING FINALLY! PLEASE BE GOOD.
prepare for disappointment. The cryptarch is NOT your ally.OH SHIT. I JUST GOT A LEGENDARY ENGRAM. FUCKING FINALLY! PLEASE BE GOOD.
Haha, I was saying you could do it! In rumble anyway. I love Rumble, and i don't care if you AFK. It's just easy points for me.Aww i cant hahaha oh well. Yea i dont like crucible very much :/ i think halo and pvz are the only competitve shooters i really like.

I don't like Angry Joe because I find him obnoxious. He never says anything truly insightful or does anything I find that amusing. He also doesn't seem like a particularly nice guy with the way he presents himself on social media, but I guess that could all be part of his constructed persona. Dude could be a secret sweetheart.
He's right about a lot of Destiny's flaws, though.

You've missed my point by a country mile. :-[
Think of the loot rolls at the end of a crucible match as a bonus. Not the primary rewards you get from Crucible (which do, by the way, change depending on if you win or lose).
Not only is it your best bet, it is how you are intended to play the game.
Caveat though, while Crucible (and a bad deal in material conversion) is the only way to obtain Crucible Marks...
Vanguard Marks can be earned, in addition to the Strike playlist, from public events and the Daily Heroic Story. Maybe the Weekly Heroic Strike as well? Can't remember. Oh and the same bad deal mat conversion.

World Of Warcraft would like to stop by and talk about going from 94 to 95LV27 now.
I can't get past LV28 without raid gear.
So, Ascendant Shards are the only thing I can use to LV up with and they come 50% of the time from Dailies, where I MAY get 2 a day. Weeklies MAY give me 11.‏
So in order to get the 8+8+6+6+6+6+6+6+6... 16... 22, 28... 52‏
I need to do....‏
if I am 100% lucky...‏
2 weeks of weekly/dailies‏
without fail‏
FUCK‏
TO LEVEL UP ONCE‏
FUCK YOU DESTINY, FUCK YOU‏
Or I can grind Public events and have a 50%/33% chance of getting 1 every 30 minutes‏

Keep trying to level my guy for the raid. And what do you do when you have all the gear you want? Serious question here.
First go on a Strike playlist for a while and I end up with 2 blues, a Legendary and a Strange Coin.
Not bad. Better than shooting into a cave.
Legendaries that are found only in the raid have higher base light which is required to reach level 30.What loot from the raid? It seems random. Sure, one person may get a legendary or exotic throughout the whole raid but...wasn't the reward for the last boss a Shader? How would a shader help you out with the Raid?
Your quote is: "The endgame with light levels and getting raid/Nightfall strike-ready is mostly grind and RNG." This has been my experience exactly 0% of the time. I'm about 3 light away from 27.As I said, I was speaking to the "loot" aspect, which many people were lamenting earlier.
I must say, this is ludicrous based on my experiences in other games. The concept of being this close to fully geared for endgame in less than two weeks from launch strikes me as rather generous. But I sympathize with your perspective. The amount of gear-trade currency you get in Destiny is pretty stingy compared to most MMOs.
I'm sorry, I just don't agree; I don't think it's rational for you to claim authority about what you should or shouldn't have to do. When you play a level 26 strike you are earning gear, through mark rewards. PvP loot randomization exists for other reasons entirely. I didn't understand your final sentence. But isnt this a loot game. You shouldn't have to buy shit in order to level up . I should be able to level 26 strike and get gear that would help me out or go 30 and 2 in the pvp and get something worth while. And let not talk about how this game was design because it has so many stupid choices that it hard why it was designed that way.
Despite the bad reviews I still want to play this. Am I crazy? I don't have any real life friends with a ps4 so I would have to find a GAF clan to play with. Stupid idea?

Hm? Sorry, I may have jumped into a conversation I wasn't totally following.and at 10 - 15 minutes a game that's quick?
www.destinylfg.netYou would have no other choice for non-matchmaking activities. Destiny is really bad with regards to in-game social tools.
lolIt was a level 16 blue. Awesome. That'll go well with my level 24 warlock. Yep.

If you go talk to any vanguard vendor, it'll show your rank on the left.Any idea how you can see how far you are to ranking with your faction or vanguard marks? I've given up doing dead orbit because I don't want to be forced todo crucible , so will instead go for vanguard legendarys , already have enough marks to buy some but says I need rank 2 and I have no idea how far I am from that,
Starting to get burnout with this game, 25 hrs in and not seen a single purple engram, and that's doing all modes and even farming,
Unless you enjoy Crucible I don't recommend doing so at all. Go for Vanguard Rep/Marks and buy your first legendary gear from them.About how long do I have to grind Crucible to get legendary gear? I don't want to rely on this RNG nonsense.
Oh shit, what happened? His PS4 couldn't take all those deaths?![]()
You guys attempting the boss again tonight? I'm up for it if you want.Anyone looking for a level 28 Titan Defender for the raid?
I've reached the final boss and can help you out.
I guess it's quick if you enjoy Crucible.
When I play PvP I get so lost in it and by the end of a few hours I got a good amount of Crucible rep/marks ("Good amount" in my opinion though.)
Some people want everything now though...I find now that I'm at 25 with just one more piece of gear needed for 26 I can chill a bit.
I'm 73 games in. That's a minimum of 730 minutes spent
Over twelve hours in a mode I detest and I still can't spend my maxed marks on a piece of armor. It has much less to do with wanting everything as it does wanting to see progress after 12+ FUCKING hours of play.
