Having had poo drops for the first 30+ hours of destiny, things are slowly improving. Two legendary guns today, one yesterday, and my legendary helmet a few days ago. Should be light 27 on Tuesday after the reset, 28 in a few days after if I can nab some ascendant stuff.

Finally ended up hitting light level 28 and just got another exotic hand cannon that is super fun to use.





Full Auto Hand Cannon with a bunch of mods increasing hip fire accuracy and it ends up a beast. Now I just run into the issue of having so many damn exotics I need to level and I can only use 1 at a time :l

Have both the Hawkmoon and The Last Word Handcannon exotics, almost done with the Invective Shotgun Exotic bounty, also have Gjallarhorn Rocket Launcher Exotic and the Lucky Raspberry Exotic Chest Piece. Wish I could get Ascendant Shards and Energy faster now.

I just got that Handcannon a min ago.

Nobody runs with anything but auto rifle on MP. I finally joined hem after much rage. I'm doing a lot better now, too.

My advice is to have a PvE loadout and a PVP loadout. My Painted Big Chief wrecks alien bastards who are shooting up my ride, but it's not as good in PVP.

Unskippable cutscenes are a true design flaw that needs to be fixed. Making a second character does have a lot of benefits in this game.

And the fact that vanguard/crucible reputation and marks are not shared between characters. All other currencies are share-able, why not this? Big oversight and it's preventing me from levelling my alt. It just leads to more grinding.

Unless you enjoy Crucible I don't recommend doing so at all. Go for Vanguard Rep/Marks and buy your first legendary gear from them.

Don't you need Vanguard marks to buy from them? They cost about 100 marks and I only have like 6, lol.

Finally got Crucible rank to 2. Can't wait to spend my 175 marks!

EDIT: And I need rank 3 for Crucible weapons. Kill me now.

I got to Rank 2 Vanguard yesterday and spent all my 160ish marks on the Ghost Angel Cloak and Ghost Angel Gaunlets. Also maxed out Vanguard Marks for the week

The cutscenes hide loading times, yep. Doesn't make it any less irritating when I can skip cutscenes in every other MMO I have in my rotation.

That's exactly what we kept saying when we've been working through it the past couple night. The last boss is a bitch. Still working on him.

I feel like you should be able to get to level 28 without raid gear. I'm all legendary and 1 exotic, and I'm just a tiny bit away from 28. I have all of my gear to the point where it needs ascendant shards (in other words done with the horizontal progression on each), but one or two levels from any piece should do it I think..

Also, public events don't have to be every 30 minutes. Every 15 minutes is a high liklyhood of seeing an event.

edit: yeah, i just bought a legendary from vanguard, disassembled, and applied my 8 shards to my exotic gauntlets, and it pushed me into 28. All legendary, with 1 exotic it's possible to do 28. Maybe I misunderstood, and you just don't want to level your stuff until you get raid gear so you aren't wasting shards. In that case, my bad.

Good MMO design teaches you different tactics, coordination and positioning across many different dungeons. The only regular Strike in Destiny that has that is the Dust Palace. And let's face it, match the shield with your weapon isn't exactly complicated.

Does anyone have a fully leveled set of exotics/legendary gear to test it out? You can level Legendary gear multiple levels, (4 times for the bonuses that add light), and I doubt anyone has 3 full sets of fully leveled legendaries, and a fully leveled exotic to test it out.

Please have a read here. You probably haven't Ranked up your Vendor yet either, I don't know what level you're at, but this should get you going.

I'm a Titan. I'm raising a Hunter and Warlock to use as ascendent material batteries and collect the daily public gold tier rewards for my main.

Also takes the sting out of finding legendary/exotics for other classes a little. If I decide to run either properly one day they both have a couple of nice pieces already.
