Does anyone have a fully leveled set of exotics/legendary gear to test it out? You can level Legendary gear multiple levels, (4 times for the bonuses that add light), and I doubt anyone has 3 full sets of fully leveled legendaries, and a fully leveled exotic to test it out.

With a fully levelled Exotic helm and partly levelled legendary chestpiece, gauntlets and boots, I'm 2 light away from level 28. How much light does a fully levelled legendary armour piece give you?

What the hell do I do with this glimmer?

Spend on Cryptarch levels for potshots at Legendary Engrams.

Buy weapon refills for Raid/High end strikes.

What's Achilles like as a shader? Any good?
Got a nice little stash of shaders now, but I think Bloodpact'll be it til I get the raid one.

Orange and white. I like it.

What are the best options for getting adcendant materials? I'm so close to hitting level 28, but I'm low on shards.

Public Daily Events have chances to drop them.

Heroic Daily Mission on lvl 28 grants +2 ascendant materials

Weekly Nightfall Strike has a chance to award up to +11 ascendant materials

Raid

Dismantle Legendary equipment +2 ascendant materials

Dismantle Exotic equipment +3 ascendant materials

So you could save your marks/coins/motes of light after you are geared up to purchase equipment for the sole purpose of dismantling it.

And, complaints over incredibly short cutscenes. Really? Can't sit still for a minute or two? Don't ever play a Metal Gear Solid game....

There's a difference between the involving story of an MGS game and the "We could tell you but we won't" look-it-up-on-the-phone-app story of Destiny. Your comparison is cute but not relevant.

What's the best way of farming ascendant materials? Doesn't have to be fast, even like 1 per day i can deal with.

Edit : just saw above. Looks like it's the skywatch cave, lol.

So who here has created a second character and has been placing the rare upgrade items you get in your bank for your primary character? I've been doing that for the past 13 hours.

Totally forgot to run the daily event with my secondary character yesterday. I could probably get her up to 20 in a couple of hours at this point, and have a legendary helmet and a chest piece waiting in the vault.

Couple if posts above you has the info.

Easiest way is the one you get from your first gold tier public event each day. I don't remember which ascendent mat it is though, or if it's a chance at each.

Thanks for the breakdown! Might have to rope my friends into trying the weekly nightfall strike even though we're a bit under leveled.

I wouldn't mind that they were unskippable (I generally don't skip cutscenes, even if I've seen them a few times) if they weren't also unspeakably bad. Destiny is an all-new low in video game storytelling, and the fact that Bungie is forcing it on players makes it that much worse.

It's random.

I think most people dislike that part though. The system should be you get a better chance at stuff if you did well or participated and did objectives and get rewarded accordingly. The random nature hurts because people that play don't fell compensated while they see bad players or worse, afkers get rewarded. Randomness is fine for stats or gear in general (as in what drops) not whether you get any if you did your job.

I dunno the numbers, i want to say +3 or +4 light level for 'Armor upgrade' on each piece( I believe rares give up to +2 light level per armor upgrade).

Thank you RNG gods. Huge helmet upgrade. 1 light from 23, 30 more defense, intellect rather than strength, grenade distance. Now if only my third legendary engram wasn't another fucking green and mote....

My exotic helm went from +21 light to +30 light, so I'm guessing legendary pieces go from +18 light to +27. I'll have to see though.

It's actually not that bad as it can be cheesed quite a bit with some patience. Just make sure you have the right damage type to take down shields and some ammo synthesis packs.

Maybe I'm just missing all of it but it really feels like this game leaves you in the dark on everything. Unceremoniously hit 20 and I've been just reading online figuring out how to progress from here.

Do the circles filling around vanguard/crucible on the Set Destination screen represent your weekly max whatevers for each of them?

I'm curious what people are going to do about other Nightfall strikes that can't be cheesed. Good luck wit Archon Priest or Nexus.

Yes. 100 per week

With this being always online and Bungie directly having all the stats with how we spend our time in the game I'm fully expecting the sequel to be called Destiny 2: Return to the Lootcave.

It would be worse that way. Players who aren't very good but enjoy playing regardless would have less incentive.

The rewards in pvp are a bonus. They're random drops like engrams in pve.

You already get rewarded for doing well in pvp with faster bounty completion and crucible rep/mark acquisition.

Maybe the weekly cap limit should be tweaked a bit though.

Nexus is 100% cheesable. You need to deal with the adds a bit more, but there's a spot on the lower level where you're basically invulnerable in regards to the boss, and nothing spawns there either.

The point is some find it impossible to sit through cut scenes that are one or two minutes long at best. I don't think the cut scenes are awesome either, but you know what? I don't have ADHD, I can sit there for the tiny amount of time they take to play out without frothing at the mouth with anger.

Of all the complaints people have thrown out about this game, that one is laughable.

You talk as if it's some atrocity against mankind. It's already been pointed out that they mask loading screens, but can you just not, like, do something else for the short time they take to play out? Really? I read a few comments on neogaf and the cutscene's over, done.

Sure it'll be an easy fix that'll probably come in a patch soon, but I really can't do anything but shake my head at how comically mad people are getting over some short, bad cut scenes.

You know what would be kind of cool...

Instead of a public event where you have to chase the fleeing bad guy, they decide to send a bad ass strike team against you that follows you around the map.

Guys with a huge amount of health following you around on a public event where you could potentially be the only fighting them. Sounds really fun and cool.

Nexus shouldn't be too bad, depends on the modifiers. Archon Priest, yeah that is probably going to be a bitch. Especially the wave section before you get to him.

I am not saying don't give them rewards, just less of a chance. Everyone starts off with one dice roll. If you do well with kills, if you help with objectives you get more dice rolls. This way a bad player can still get rewarded if they help capture points, or get assists. It's not crazy to think a good player deserves more than a bad one.

i was getting pretty pissed about being stuck at level 25 for basically an entire week yesterday. makes no sense how actually being good at the game has nothing to do with your progess
