It's random. I've gotten both of mines (Thorn and Super Good Advice) at level 26, although I was that level for a week or so.

This 100 rep cap level thing is killing me!! I'm 15 points away from getting a legendary helmet (I'm level 27 with a rare helmet...), but I have to wait until the stats reset to even get it..

First Light & Bastion are both really bad, but I honestly think Bastion is a little better because you can do some close quarters combat in the canyons. First Light sucks because you just get blown to pieces by interceptors, turrets and everything else just trying to go from one building to another.

The vehicles in this game are pretty mediocre. The Pike is... acceptable, but the Interceptor is just a more boring Wraith, and there's nothing that comes close to Warthog Tier.

It's more on what skills you want to use more depending on the matchup of stats on a piece of gear. You can pick 2, what do you want to do, be able to use your special melee more often? Use your super more often? or use your grenades more often? Pick two and go with the faction that gives you the better stats for those 2 things

Get rid of the shotguns. It's not fun and ruining the experience. Get rid of the 20 foot lunge on melee attacks.
How many maps are there for control because I played the same one 4 times

The limit is 100 on vanguard and crucible marks. there is no limit on strange coins. Resets are every tuesday.

Fuck Control in general, unless playing on Venus of course then it is amazing.

My main gripe is the wide open spaces combined with vehicles and turrets. I actually sort of like it for control, but clash is awful on that map

From orbit, hit triangle, inspect your desired person with X, then hit Join Fire team. Assuming there's at least one empty space on their team you should be golden.

Thanks. Was thinking that was it but it said all my friends were in orbit when the map was saying I had a few running strikes and heroic story. Strange.

For me, these particular maps suck cos they nerfed the vehicles. Right now, the interceptors are easy enough to take out. The reduced blast radius and increased time make them pretty easy to evade. A grenade or a sniper should take them out.

Shotguns have a surprisingly super close range, and you have a radar which should allow you to never get surprised by anyone, making it pretty easy to stay out of shotgun range if you don't have a shotgun yourself.

huh? New missions, new maps, a new strike and a new raid sounds fun to me. So I'd say that's far from useless.

Eh. Not really. New Monarch is faster to gain rep with, since you get it from both Crucible and Vanguard activities. Make sure you check which weapon bonuses each faction supports, I was going Vanguard until I realized that the only way to go full Pulse Rifle bonuses was to mix in some Crucible.

Past that, just take a look at the lore/look of the faction.

Except for the Legendary/Exotic shotties that have range upgrades. Those are just straight broken.

There are some shotguns out there which will tear you a new one from 20 feet away, how? dunno, lag maybe? find a shotgun with some reasonable range and you can do damage from afar.

YEAH BOIII got an exotic from a cryptarch level up package, the hawkmoon. It's a hand cannon but I'll take it. Wasn't even farming or anything, just happened. Farming really is the worst and as someone that did it and got nothing in return I really don't recommend doing it.
