4 legendary engrams later i actually got a legendary item!!!!!!!!!!

rest was borderline garbage...

I went on a tear day 1 or 2 of the legendary drops. All mine worked out. Since about a week ago not one...NOT ONE legendary drop has been legendary. I've probably turned in 20 of them. It's crazy. I'm just glad I have all my gear.

Does your cryptarch rank carry from character to character? If not take your level 3 character to the cave. All those green items will be green engrams and you might be able to level him up faster

no it doesn't but it doesn't matter since each rank aside from 0-1 is 3000 xp anyways

Well, my new Warlock is now level 21 and I just created her Friday. Since then, I put roughly 10 hours into her. Bounties helped out a lot.

Jesus Christ between blink shotgun whore warlocks and blade fucking dancer hunters, control is pretty much unplayable.
Play 3v3 with a good team. It's ten times better than Control.

Also, there's nothing wrong with being a prostitute, so whore is a stupid pejorative.

I screwed up.
I got to choose between three exotic bounties. Assuming the rewards were random or at least semi-random, I just picked the first. Now I've learned that the rewards are predefined; I'm going to get a Fusion Rifle. But.. I don't use Fusion Rifles..

Did a little cave to get the public event and max Vanguard.

A blue dropped a purple Scout for me..Cryptic Dragon.

LOL, then it levels me up..
Cryptarch package gives me 2 blues..

And then I get a purple Fusion, Purifier VII.
Thank you RNGesus.

Awesome night last night. With help from gaffers was able to take down the weekly strike with ease. Used those 3 coins to buy the exotic launcher. Got to Vanguard Rank 3 which have me an exotic weapon which ended up being a legendary hand cannon with 12 rounds. And got a few motes of light so only 2 away from getting an epic cape from the Speaker.

Ooooooo yeah. Just need a legendary helm to be all legendary gear. Just need 60 more marks

Right now I don't understand how Blade Dancer could have possibly released as being so OP. The damage resistance is so unbelievably high, you're essentially invulnerable for a few seconds. With the speed too, it totally counteracts the idea that every super has a counter. Blade dancer does not, it gives you instagibs, super speed and invulnerability. I mean come the fuck on.

Blade dancer's counter is to be farther away....

You might wanna start using fusion rifles. They kill everything.

I don't think Bladedancer is overpowered. You have to be in the right place to use it, otherwise you're wasting it.

Why the fuck does this strike playlist keep putting me into strikes by myself?

Sometimes you can be put into a strike when its half done, or even while they're on the last boss. You get spawned right at the start, and you have to make you're way to their current location. So it may seem like you are alone, that might not be the case for you, but it does sometimes happen.

They're also the answer to shotguns in pvp. As long as you don't round a corner into one or foolishly charge a red glow on your motion tracker, it's almost impossible to lose a fight against one.

They charge you, they die to a really, really easy shot. They stay at a distance, they give you time to line up a perfect shot or score a glancing hit, switch and finish them.

FRs also let you use HCs/scouts/pulse more safely because you can handle shotguns and ARs at close range with ease.

Any changes need to keep PVE in mind though, without the damage resistance you're just out in the open melee'ing dudes and die before your bar is half gone.

I pretty much always get shotgunned in the face when blade dancing. It's hard as shit to control, and most of the time I'm just running around trying to find someone since everyone without a shotgun scatters when they see it.

Voidwalker and Striker supers counter it. I've slashed both in mid-super, they survive, I don't. Golden Gun also still one shots them. I've also killed plenty of Bladedancers before they could reach me with an AR.

Which one do you like better?
I missed my Titan so much. That armor rating of hers is far superior. I had to keep moving about with the Warlock, making missions last longer than I wanted. Both classes have their strengths and weakness but god, I missed my Titan so much when I was playing as my Warlock. I still haven't gotten used to the Glide. I much prefer the Titan's jetpack at the moment. I haven't unlocked Blink yet so I can't say much about it.

when i get killed by a blade dancer i know it's pretty much my fault, it sucks more when it's a warlock or titan using their super as an "oh shit" button and wasting it just killing me 1 on 1

every time a titan uses his smash to win a 1vs1 against me i just start laughing out loud cause it's just ridiculous.

haha right, both the other classes have supers at long range that can kill any number of players in the blast area instantly. BD have to time it so we can get maximum results. The fact that titans have no windup time to the pound and can stop a BD is not op to you?

Man, I've wanted to post about this game the last few weeks. Some of you know I had no interest until the alpha and beta, and then I preordered. I'm not a Halo guy or any kind of Bungie fan.

I still enjoy the game. I did pretty much everything not story related during the alpha and beta. There is literally nothing new to me. I played 5 characters up to level 8 in the test versions, but the game hasn't gotten boring for me yet. Looking at the app, I've spent 80hrs combined across my 3 characters. I'm almost ashamed...almost. 75hrs spent on my Warlock alone.

Much of my time is spent farming public events and loot on Earth, completing Vanguard bounties, cursing out the cryptarch and completing random strikes with friends. I'm transitioning to my Hunter now, which I'll use mostly in the Crucible. I like that the vault is shared across characters. I'll use my Hunter to buy crucible gear and my Warlock will buy vanguard stuff. I'm really trying to optimize my loadouts around my playing style and exotics.

I have no issue with drop rates and whatnot. Maybe make it so that more than half the legendary engrams turn into legendary kit. I'm hitting well below that. Two legendaries turned exotic, and the others turned blue. All my legendaries either came from blues or the tower.

During the beta and alpha, I complained about how unpleasant I found the crucible. some might have assumed it was just because I sucked badly. It wasn't. I'm finding the crucible much more enjoyable now than I did then, and I suck just as bad as before. LOL. I don't know what it is. Maybe some tweaks to weapons handling and maybe more familiarity with the maps has helped. I feel like I have a fighting chance now. Again, I'm still terrible at pvp, but I have had legit fun times getting my butt kicked in the full game. Am I alone there?

Anyway, I have not done any raids yet. It's not easy finding 6 people to coordinate with. I could join the GAF clan, but I told my friend I would make a clan for me, him and his brother in law. He was a good friend of mine in high school, but I haven't spoken to him in 17 years. Now we're yucking it up like old times while killing aliens with space magic.

This game has legitimately been the most gaming fun I've had in a decade. It's certainly the most engrossing game I've played in that time. It's weird, because I can't even call it my favorite game of the year. That would be Transistor, which I think was just a very well designed game. However, Destiny has tapped into the fun zone of my brain the way a mindless summer blockbuster does. It has user selectable difficulty with the tiered story/strike levels. It has collectible loot and shaders that keep me hunting for the perfect kit. It has a rather effective party system, as I've made lots of new friends just through strike matchmaking and random encounters in the tower.

I'll see what happens after I finish building my Titans and Hunters. I don't expect to buy any DLC, as I've never bought any before. Plus, I have FIFA and DC coming out in the next few weeks. I could definitely see pouring another month or so into this game. I've enjoyed my time. I'll be first in line for any sequel, that's for sure. PEACE.
