I really want to get a better scout rifle. I'm level 25 using a level 18 weapon as my main forever..come on. I really don't know the best way to proceed. I am years away from Vanguard Rank 3 which I think I need to buy weapons from them. I am halfway through Crucible Rank 2 but I got all of my marks for the week, and don't have many because I bought some gloves yesterday. It seems like my only hope is a random drop.

The gun isn't that great, I suggest doing high level strikes at a casual pace. Running a low level strike 25 times as fast as you can, to get a weapon that isn't even that good, will more than likely burn you out.

It's great once it's upgraded but terrible before that

actually i found my 25 runs to be extremely fun! I would do 5 at a time and basically just sprint through absolutely everything. I have the perfect route down I can run that strike with my eyes closed.

it was hilarious to see the other two people either being just as proficient or some of them having no idea what to do even though they were lvl 25+.

had a great time with it and the "get 10000 points from kills in pvp" step afterwards was daunting at first but actually made me really really enjoy playing rumble and i went from being terrible in pvp to raising my KDR from 0.9 (god damn controller FPS, i swear) to like 1.5!

Can't wait to get marks this next week and afford my helmet/chest. I guess I'll wait and see depending on what Xur offers this next weekend. As long as it's not the gloves again or so help me judeo-christian god.

I'm terrible at PvP. That's why I'll need to run with some veterans and make a living off of assists

If anybody else needs to do the summoning pits strike for the Thorn exotic weapon bounty hit me up. I play on PS4 and I'm a LV 27 warlock with both Void Walker and Sunsinger maxed out.

Do we think that Bungie will patch the treasure cave in Skywatch? I hope not, not until they fix their current loot system.

The mobs will always be there. I think what will change will be stopping low level mobs dropping purples completely and blues much less.

26 Titan defender looking for the 26 and 28 heroic weekly strike or if some wants to do the weekly nightfall is go for that as well.

Psn is ragarra also have a mic

Same here, got 63 waiting so when Tuesday rolls round I'll grind more in Strikes for the other 67 then I'll have enough to purchase the remaining Legendary gear.

Do the level 14 nexus strike. Kill the servitors in the very beginning and then run straight to the boss. You don't have to kill anything after the servitors, and you can finish the strike in 7-10 minutes.

Same time as the moon strike and he won't have to fight stupid vex with stupid minotaurs.

I have to do 25 strikes...

This can't be life

It's easy to do as long as you do the regular low level strikes instead of the level appropriate ones.

do the lvl 12 moon strike 25 times. all speedrun groups run it you will always have high levels and can do it between 7-9minutes

All low level strikes will consist of players around your level when match-made. I did The Devil's Lair for my 25 runs and the lowest team mate I was ever partied with was 18. Most of the time though, everyone was 22-27.

Is that faster than the earth strike?

Hard to say tbh. The Devil's Lair has one more mini-boss than the moon strike I think.. but Sepiks in The Devil's Lair is less of a pain with adds and such than the boss in The Summoning Pits.

The Skywatch cave offers multiple cool things. Besides the loot cave, there's a navsat public event about once an hour, and sometimes there's a pseudo-public event where a massive horde of hive and fallen flood that area for what feels like 3+ minutes straight. You get no special reward, but I actually find those events to be more fun than the standard public ones. I feel there is a much larger number of enemies, and a lot more majors and ultra, making it more challenging.

I don't know if Bungie did it intentionally, but it makes farming there less monotonous. It's the best look site so far, and having regular breaks to engage in actual gameplay is fun. Especially since we don't have to change locations to do it. PEACE.

I gave it a go for the first time tonight while patrolling for public events. Got 2 legendary weapons and an exotic chest within an hour. I had to grind crucible for a week to get the rep needed for the legendary stuff, such a stupid system.

did bungie do something to prevent camping at the christmas cave?

a crapload of guys spawned right behind the usual spot and killed us.

Yeah I've noticed that too, they come out of the green cave to the left. Not sure what triggers it but it's annoying...

Don't think so, every 30 minutes there's a public event and another event where a ton of hive come rushing out to fight the fallen. Not sure of the timing for that one though.

Yeah it's pretty cool when boatloads of enemies stream in at that spot. They dropped a ton of engrams for me too.

FINALLY!

Full set of Legendary and Exotic gear for armour. All I want is an exotic Hand Cannon, and possibly Legendary Rocket Launcher (not really needing). Already have a lowly Sniper.

I'm not too happy with the stats on my Exotic Chest piece, so it will be the last thing I use Ascendant Shards on.

Yaaaaaaay!

You should kill that group too and stand back a bit.

The cave spawns three groups:
1 group of acolytes That fights the fallen above the cave, 1 group of Acolytes and a thrall or two that fights the fallen near the helicopters, and another group of of an acolyte or two with a thrall that goes into the cave.

All three should be killed to max the cave. You should also be clear of all groups habitats so they can all spawn.

I was wondering if it changed at that point. Still though, if this is his first legendary/exotic, it's gonna be a long time before he's able to upgrade it without sacrificing everything else.

The auto reload is ridiculous in many PvE situations, and you can upgrade the gun to have practically no recoil with the upgrade before Curses. The damage bonus is really tame and mildly disappointing but that's not what makes it good.

Do we think that Bungie will patch the treasure cave in Skywatch? I hope not, not until they fix their current loot system.

They need to patch the way loot drops work in general so people don't feel the need to shoot at a Level 5 cave for 4 hours. As it stands now, Vanguard Strikes are pretty much a waste of time as far as loot, rep and marks go and that's the PvE content we're supposed to focus on at Level 20+.

Got the Thorn upgraded except for that last tier and have to say I'm not a huge fan of it unless I'm using it on my gunslinger. The dot is pretty weak and the clip size is too small, not to mention the reload time.

On the other end of the spectrum, Ice Breaker sniper rifle is the fucking shit god damn. You can't pick up ammo for it but it regenerates over time, and straight into the clip so you never have to reload. Seems to stun lock everything too, can't wait to get this thing upgraded.

Um... the enemy AI can tell when I'm in the menu??
I just had two thralls maybe 20 feet ahead of me pacing left and right because they didn't have a way to hit me from behind. So I go into the menu for a second to trash some items and guess what happens? I'm slapped out of the menu by those two thralls. Fucking really, Bungie?
