Nightfall bugged out for me .. we were in the process of killing all the adds except 1 and then while we walked back upstairs to formulate a plan we received the Mission Complete screen. We never even had to hit Phogoth once!
I ended up getting 12 Ascended Energy. Not what I wanted/needed, but I'll take it. I now have 29 Energies I'm waiting to unload on a Legendary/Exotic primary.
Any 26+ guardians up for the daily heroic?
Slower, but if you spec toward agility they can get pretty fast. With a gun that has the perk "+2 agility when held" you can actually move faster than Hunters.
If I start a Titan and get to the farming spot for levelling up, will I still have the same chance at getting rare/legenadary engrams and for them to turn into lvl 20 items if the character is only level 5 for example?
Wanting to widen the power gap is. It's not just about you and your rewards.
Pvp /itself/ is the incentive.
People play pvp to win, it's the entire point of it.
I am lucky to have a shotgun with the +2 Agility, and I specced my Striker Titan for maximum speed and armor -- it's wonderful.![]()
Yeah we got lucky. He just vanished into thin air.
So after trying to play the RNG I've given the tower items some thought. Am I right in thinking that in order to afford the legendaries in the Tower, you'd potentially have to play 50 runs on the 20 Strike or 30 for the 22 Strike (I can't access the rest as my light level isn't high enough) to get enough marks to buy one item? On top of that you can only earn 100 marks a week, so it's going going to take a week and a half to earn enough to buy an item.
Then you need to do up to 15 bounties, of which you can only do a few a day, with at least 100 reputation to get the 1500 to rank up once, which you then have to do another two times to be a high enough rank to spend the marks on the guns.
And on top of that, the reason for me going for all this is to play a Raid that I can't actually play until I've done this multiple times to get my light level up or I simply get lucky?
Jeez Bungie.

I got locked in the Vault!
I was doing a story mission, when I noticed the light hit the door I ran through it.
Then...it closed![]()
shoulder tackle is so good

Bladedancer needs a SERIOUS nerf, god damn it.
You just have to activate your Super, press everything and then boom Killing Spree.
Looks super cheap and overpowered

I'm saying you need to put a decent amount of time into this game if you want to have good gear to be able to do the high level stuff.

Legitimately heard the Cryptatch say "you won't be disappointed"

Probably because that's exactly what it is.
Bungie needs to balance some of these supers or just make PvP playlist without supers.
Bungie is taking the piss with that one lmao

How many marks do you get every crucible game?
i haven't gone somewhere like reddit to pool statistics like they did on legendary engrams. all i have are anecdotes, whether it's mine or from other forums. i chose to ignore the contradicting evidence therein, hence simplifying it as fact (which it isn't), as i felt it was neither substantial nor relevant to my main point, which i will repeat again: there is no incentive to do well in crucible. no matter what systems are in place - no matter how i arrive at this statement or conjure up supporting data, whether it's conclusive or bogus - that point still stands and is something i've mentioned several times prior to this discussion.
Shoulder tackle isn't even a super, what are you talking about

I'm not saying your beloved random loot system shouldn't be in, I just think there should be something that rewards players for actually capping points in control (instead of playing like it's TDM) and performing better than others. Just like in every other game there is.
Probably because that's exactly what it is.

I hate how people need rewards to feel validated as opposed to just enjoying and trying to win the matches.
The incentive for doing well, that you're looking for, will be present in both the Iron Banner (which awards points to the winning team but not the losing team) in that once you've earned enough reputation with IB wins, you'll be able to buy 1-time only rewards.
There's also the eventual arrival of the Trials of Osiris, which requires a pre-made Fireteam and a purchase of entry. Winners earn rank and exclusive rewards while losing teams lose access to the game mode and are forced to buy entry again if they want to continue to play the mode.
While those modes haven't yet happened in the live game, I don't see a reason to think they won't eventually be.
Played some PvP tonight, sucked hard came last and got this...
Lol!
Or you can play whichever mode you want at your own pace and reach the same point while having fun.
Anyone got any tips on getting over the level 24 hump? Been stuck on this level for a minute and I really want to get into the level 26+ raids.
Been playing multiplayer for several hours every other day and the highest level light on an armor I see is 15, no more.... should I be doing something else?
no, the entire point of playing destiny's PvP is to earn crucible marks, faction rep and complete bounties. it's being treated as another means of progression, but when you're locked out of that progression until the reset there is little reason to return to it.
Yeah, its also far from OP. It takes 2 secs of sprinting to activate and it is only active for ~5secs, you have to stop and start sprinting again to reactivate it.

Rewarding the best players with cosmetic stuff would be 100% ok.
Special shaders or emblems, for example.
But actual gameplay affecting gear? No.
shoulder tackle is so good
