Of course you don't HAVE to grind but it's far more time efficient to grind bounties and loop around Earth doing PE's than just playing the game straight up. I spent a good 8-10 hours trapped at Level 24 just trying to playing the game straight up, doing strikes, daily missions and playing crucible matches.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

So.. everything that I said is wrong? Tell me how then..

I just said it. Everyone think the classes they don't main is extremely overpowered. Sorry if you want a full out response. Every super can basically net you multi 1 hit kill. Titans are the bane of my PVP experience but I'm not asking for a nerf even though I get hulk smashed when I use my super and it can kill me and my shields.

Cause you think that only titans have to put themselves at danger (guess what Blade Dancers do it every time), and a blade dancer is not guaranteed to clear a control area, titans super, boom, everyones dead in that spot).

Finally found my first fucking Legendary Engram in Destiny.

My first fucking one in...

that long.

I got two fucking Ascendant Shards.

I'm fucking done. 33 hours of playtime and I have 2 legendary equipment, both of which I had to buy.

Throughout most of the raid it's much better to have defender, but at the end striker can be very useful to
clean up the exploding harpies that come rushing at your team when you're trying to attack the final boss. You do have to make sure you set it up so you don't take as much damage while using it and that its aftermath sticks around longer. That way whatever enemies try to come toward you will either back off or at least be weakened when they're close.

tears of blood in my eyes now, thanks man.

well first things first, i need to lvl up my armor and weapons before i jump in so by that time ill have max defender status too

Be thankful you got ascendant shards. They're extremely rare to come by and you'll be happy you have them when you upgrade your legendary gear. 2 of those is better than getting a green or a rare.

is there a group of late night pst player that has a chat room and whatever to organize group?
if not anyone want to make one?
I am 27 warlock that's maxed out both subclasses and I really want to do night falls and raids

Yeah, got two purple engrams yesterday. Both turned out to be Blue Armor pieces.

The tease is real. Gotta do that grind son.

I'm enjoying the game a lot, but I can think of a couple little fixes that would help.

1. Fix the engrams so that a blue always gives you a rare, purple always gives you a legendary, etc. Repeatedly getting blues and greens from purple engrams is just disheartening.

2. Strike bosses should drop either engrams or random gear. As much as these folks are bullet sponges it feels weird not getting anything for killing them.

ascendant shards are actually a better role in some ways than a random legendary :-/

do you mean you're done with the game?
The hard mode for the Vault of Glass. Or are they closing it till december?
Oh, uh, no that's open now. I'm not really concerned about that yet. I haven't set foot in the normal raid yet. I'll get back to you on how I feel about it when I'm trying to hit level 30.

OT4 already?

Well add me to list of new comers. Bought it Friday (PS3/PS4 Guardian Edition).

If anyone needs a buddy who will be moving up slowly my PSN name is:

LordRaoh
Level 2 Hunter
level 5 Warlock
level 10 Titan

Warlock was my first character but may not play it through, then leveled the Titan and wanted to try the Hunter. Love the hunter, feels more fluid for my play style but don't really want to start over.

Anyway looking forward to reading through the OT's.

Last I checked, the only guaranteed thing was shaders, unless there's actual gear that's rewarded 100% of the time.

The Nightfall gives you some guaranteed Legendary+ gear/weapons, but only the first time you beat it.

If the first one was the case I'd have a ton of legendary shit from farming the treasure cave. It would be overkill, sadly.

When I play the Defender subclass I notice that the Fist of Havok is fairly OP also and that they should reduce the AoE. I don't even bother using the Shotgun, Auto Rifle, Sniper Rifle, or the Striker class because the game just seems like it's press to win when using them. I'm not complaining for the sake of complaining, these are problems that make the game hard to enjoy.. It seems like there is no real reward for skill in the game.

So the R2 trigger on my PS4 controller is partially stuck (it doesn't fully depress after I shoot).

My character will randomly just empty a full clip into empty space.

Oh well...guess I'm pretty much done playing shooters on PS4

Hunters <3

these threads move fast, feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions (especially at 20). I'm Hawkian on PS4, feel free to add

I'd actually be 29, without having ever shot at that cave.

To counter that I got my Dustwalker helmet from a rare engram, and my Thunderlord from a Legendary.

I realize I'm among the few lucky ones, but still, when that happens... best feeling evah.

Got all the way to the last boss in the raid with my group.

Experiencing weird lag on a lot of mechanics, like
not properly going through the portal during the final encounter and having to walk through twice
. It's pretty disappointing, but the raid so far has been pretty exceptional.

Those shard will be worth more than 60% of what is possible to come out of a purple engrams. and later on when you no longer need purple. disenchant one get you shard anyways.

also how can you only have 860 grim score playing 33 hours

Hoping people actually give up on random drops (Aladdin's Cave) as a means of progression. The game around the loot system is just incredibly fun to play, especially with friends/GAFers. Having so much fun just playing, no grinding and I'm nearly to lvl 26.

Anyone keen for the lvl 28 weekly heroic in about 20min? Want to get those last three coins before the reset.

Is there any reason to go beyond level three with Dead Orbit or any of the other Tower factions? The circular meter keeps going, but everything they sell just requires level three and Crucible marks. I figure I should start getting actual Vanguard and Crucible reputation.

if bungie does anything this will almost undoubtedly be what happens. guaranteed engram colors, lowered engram drops. it won't be better but it will feel better, I guess.

It'll feel soooo much better. Not getting a Legendary drop is different than getting a Legendary drop and having it turn into a Rare (after going through two loading screens, no less).

Using weapons that are different to use doesn't equate to skill. I am constantly number 1 or 2 in all my Rumble gameplay even though I go up against other Bladedancers who use AR and shotguns (I have no exotic or legendary weapons/armors yet). I don't like how pulse rifles shoot so I won't use them, but I know I got my ass handed to me before against a pulse rifle user in mid-long range. Destiny in general is a user friendly game where you should be able to get a kill using most common methods regardless of class or weapon.

started reading and was like I gotta run with this guy, who is it? saw the name and pffft

don't think I'll be able to pull my weight quite in there at 26, but I'd otherwise love to go

yes. bungie's most absolutely baffling decision, and believe it or not the biggest problem with the loot system is the color/name of legendary engrams

For all the equipment I've seen for the factions, the highest is level 3. Unless that changes, I don't think there is a reason to level up any further.

Haha dude you got me on this path, converted me before I even had a chance to grind :)

See you soon mate, just doing last story mission

Finally cleared the raid. I think the game bugged at the end. We didn't see a results screen at all.

The final boss did drop legendaries/materials for us. But again, no results screen.

You start getting random legendary weapons for free for every rank up after but I think it's a waste of time. Might as well just level an alt and cap marks a second time and turn those vendor legendaries into ascendant mats.

Maybe at some later point, but right now you only need rank 3 of any given faction to get everything they offer
