so what happens with the last two upgrades on armor and weapons like this? the other perks that go vertical are toggles. does this work the same way or are we able to fill them all out?

You can fill them all out. The final tier of all weapons and armor are attack/defense upgrades, there are just more of them in that column the higher quality the item. They also cost the most to upgrade.

Holy crap, just tried the raid, we beat the 1st section, beat 2/3 of the second encounter but stuck at getting the oracles lol, game is intense...and it might cause fighting and hurt feelings and lots of cursing, be warned.

Did they adjust the legendary engrams? I just found 2 and both turned into legendary items for the correct class.

Not that we were aware of. Maybe you're just blessed.

Also, it seems like a lot of people are completing the raid. What is the Playstation trophy statistic for that one?

I'm using the thorn now and for me the long reload time and the 6 mag size is brutal. While I haven't unlocked it for myself yet, i've been reading that the damage over time bonus is underwhelming as well. The DoT doesn't stack, and doesn't refresh on each hit. So to reapply you have to wait for the 5 seconds for it to fall off then hit them right after.

Yea I'm not a fan of the Thorn either. DoT is really weak, small ass magazine and awful reload times.

Cool I just had a Legendary Heavy Weapon engram turn into...a....Legendary Chest? T-thanks bungie, it's not like I needed a legendary heavy weapon....I needed a chest too but still..b-baka bungie!

We got the last boss of the raid down to a quarter of health and then lag defeated us. We have each phase down great, but lag is really frustrating. Hopefully tomorrow the instance will allow us one good hour of no lag and I know we can down it.

Anyway, about to attempt the level 28 daily, if anyone wants to join, send FR to PSN: GhostFaceDon. I wanna try the level 28 weekly but I might just let that one be lol.

They have a charge up time. In a fusion vs shotgun fight, the shotgun user can kill you before you can get a shot off. Fusion weapons though do seem to have better range which is a bonus

well yeah that's the entire idea, to kill them before they get into range

also, thunderlord the machine gun, fucking amazing. kills people in like 3 bullets

Do not question RNGod, RNGod works in mysterious ways.

Ya know, I think they fixed the engram thing. The last 5 legendary engrams I turned in actually gave me...legendaries(I just got 2 of them for leveling cryptarch). I got that legendary Heavy I wanted, Unfriendly Giant.

I just decrypted 3 and it only gave me one Legendary, a fusion rifle and I don't like fusion rifles at all. Oh well that was the first Legendary I got from an engram that wasn't blue or lower so I was still sorta excited.

I got a cool white shader and ascended energy for beating the last boss in the raid. Kinda lackluster, right? Shader is cool though.

I gotta admit. Getting good with a raid group is vastly different and so much better than much of the main game.
Finally found my first fucking Legendary Engram in Destiny.

My first fucking one in...

that long.

I got two fucking Ascendant Shards.

I'm fucking done. 33 hours of playtime and I have 2 legendary equipment, both of which I had to buy.
Level 28. I've had some pieces drop, but I've bought everything I use.
Boots - Vanguard
Chest - Vanguard
Gauntlets - Xur
Helmet - Future War Cult

Getting any legendary from an engram is actually really good, because you desperately need the components you get from breaking them down.
28 weekly strike at 26/25 is bruuutal stuff
:D
Heck yeah it is. Then this week I finally hit 28 and it was stupid easy to solo. With void burn the final boss dies much faster than in a strike.
Not all pulse rifles are bad but Bad Juju is. Actually I haven't even seen anyone say any exotic weapon is good so far.
I'm a big fan of Suros Regime even in normalized PVP vs Shingens. Gjallarhorn is also very handy.
What's the easiest way to get a k/d spread of 25 in Crucible for the shotgun exotic bounty? I usually have twice as many deaths as kills.
Play control and stay near a friendly point with heavy ammo spawns. Pretty easy to get huge kill streaks.

The shader is guaranteed, the other bits not so. You'll either get raid armour, weapons, or upgrade components from the drops or chests in the Raid.

You just got lucky. I just turned in 17 blue engrams and 2 legendary engrams farmed from the magic cave in Old Russia and didn't get a damn thing.

GAF - we have a party of 5 at the final boss checkpoint of the raid and need one more. Anyone 26 or up with beefed up weapons or gear want to join us on PSN?

I would've been happier if it was at least shards and not energy. Seems like I got the worst one. As usual lol.

Jealous, that shader is fucking great. Also the ascended energy is still useful.

Shader is cool, but it's no armor or weapons =/

I really don't understand the idea behind the "End Missing Timer"... I just lost some loot now because I killed a boss and died right after. When I respawned there was a bunch of mobs around the loot and I couldn't get to it in time.

Why force people to quit? Like put a message saying there's nothing left to do and you should go back to orbit but don't for it.

If it was a blue or purple engram it'll be waiting at the postmaster in the Tower.

Glad to hear someone's getting some use out of it since I don't really want to trash mine, I might have to put some time into upgrading it as long as things get better.

It definitely takes adjusting to and you absolutely were not wrong about the impact being pitiful. Going from a really stable Scout Rifle with a ton of range to Bad Juju was jarring to say the least. But I kept up with it and have somewhat got the hang of it. It's still not as lethal as my scout rifle and due to the rate of fire making the barrel jump so much, it's hard to be as accurate but I figure the stability upgrade will change that.

I've been doing that magic cave lately just to get rank-ups in hopes that the rank up gives a purple and that purple turns into ascendant shards or armor/weapons I can dismantle.

Someone help me out here, lol. Is this a loot-driven game or not? Because I was just talking about how anemic I thought some of the drops were and was informed I was approaching this incorrectly. My aim should instead be to accumulate marks and coins from bounties etc and buy gear this way? Is this about right? So loot shouldn't be a concern?

Ok, I'm done with strikes unless it's the weekly. So draining and the reward is almost nil.

I do it for the marks and that's pretty much it, but if you don't do it on the highest level then yeah it's completely worthless. Bungie needs to fix the rewards.

Fixed? Oh no, you just got lucky is all.

All I got today turned into rares. RNG hates me

Hm. Maybe my trick is working? When I turn them in I just blaze through turning them in without looking. It's worked so far.

Man I'd go but I think I'm in a raid that is supposed to happen later? I have no idea what's going on with that.

If the strikes were more fun (or at least more varied), this wouldn't be as much of an issue, but as things stand now, I gotta agree.

My attitude is: accumulate marks and if I get a nice loot drop, sweet. I certainly don't depend on getting lucky. If you get enough marks you can just buy your way into high society.
