Is there any Warlock armor that looks cool?Everything I see so far are coats for Dick Tracey and reject Power Ranger helmets. Titans got all the cool stuff.

Rahool has been a fucking gentleman today. I've had 9 rare engrams and 4 of them decrypted to strange coins and the other 5 were motes of light.

And the legendary I decrypted earlier turned into a legendary pulse rifle called Strange Suspect. It seems pretty good.

I fucking wish there was a way to exchange glimmer for crafting materials.

I don't think I can deal with looking for helium fragments anymore

Yeah, I don't even know what to do with the glimmer. One could cost 1,000 glimmer. Maybe more, as long as I could buy some materials. It's going to take forever to fully upgrade my exotic helmet, right?

I got my first exotic bounty!

I just looked it up, and I have to find something in loot chests on Mars, buy something from Xur and then kill 500 enemies with machine guns. Doesn't sound too bad.

If a NPC would sell Ascendant Shards fro 10k glimmer I would drown that sucker in glimmer. All my gear is leveled up but I can't upgrade it because I lack shards.

Maxed out I bought ammo just because what else? Pay the Cryptarch? 15k for 25% of a level or something.

Animation on the last word hand cannon is awesome, I need this now.

God dammit. Seeing that makes me even more sad that I didn't win it during this match. It was soo close, and I won the game! I should have gotten it. :(

I think I've hit that point in Destiny where the boredom is starting to kick in. I'm a lvl 24 hunter, and have had absolutely no luck with drops/cryptarch. I had to buy my only legendary piece of gear from the Vanguard.

Since I'm maxxed out on Vanguard marks for the week, I cannot earn any any more until Tuesday to purchase more legendary armor and up my light level. I am stuck in progression purgatory. I'm not high enough level to do Nightfall strikes or the Raid, and shooting into a cave is boring as fuck. I suck at PvP just like every other PvP game I have ever played. My main playing parter (brother) has pretty much moved on from the game.

So now I'm at the point where I want to play Destiny, but don't know what to do to enjoy myself anymore. :<

OK serious question, I'm level 22 and Cryptarch level 4 (nearly 5), I've just about Crucible level 2 (love me some PvP), and have put in lots of time on the Strike playlist and farmed murder cave for hours in total.... yet to get a Legendary Engram.

Is there something I'm missing?

Help me DGAF, you're my only hope.

Edit: I got one Legendary engram from the Cryptarch, of course - it was a class item :P

PvP is a fucking disgrace. Can we get fucking map voting option? So I can choose between garbage maps and slightly better than garbage maps? I don't ever want to play Bastion or First Light, ever.

I'm assuming you're talking about the yellow gun? I haven't seen yellow before, is that exotic? What's better, legendary or exotic?

Get luckier? The best way to get legendaries is to buy them anyway.

Exotic is rarer, can only have one exotic weapon and one exotic piece of armor equiped at a time.

Exotic comes after legendary. It's the rarest gear in the game. The post I quoted has a video of that particular yellow gun's beauty. And hand cannons are my favorite weapon in this game, I would've been flipping out if I had won it :(

I have been playing this game since launch and I have only gotten one Legendary item, with a Cryptarch rank of 7. I figured it would be ages before my next Legendary drop, staying stuck at level 24. Until one purple Engram later...

I was thinking the same. I have 10 marks left to get this week and after that it's just farming materials for upgrade purposes. This is why I hate the cap on marks.

? you mean on the radar? cause if so Halo had that too.

Over-all though Halo 2/3 PvP kicks the ass of this by a mile though. Can't wait to get the master chief collection

I don't know if I could fully go back to no double-jump, simpler times... well, I will anyway (because well... Halo), but yeah: I'm hoping Halo 5 has implemented new features and a bit more customisation like Destiny.

The customisation is what does it for me in Destiny, and the ease of movement (much like TF did, and still does).

Just got done with Nightfall and goddamn was that intense (and we had a only two level 27s and a 26). Thanks to CrimsonCommie (enjoy your Exotic Monte Carlo) and Gotstrangepowers for stiking through the end and for Gotstrange powers for saving it on the Million Wizard Wave.

Grats! I just ran two folks from my PSN FL through the Nightfall Strike and one of them got that weapon at completion. Looks so sweet and the stats on it, sheesh lol. I felt a little jealousy, can't lie lol. Maybe next week I'll get that sweet Suros auto rifle I want.

Really? Good god that's lame. No wonder some people love it.

Movement radar has been a thing for ages now. Call of Duty shows you a bleep when people shoot and allow you to mark the whole map when you get enough kills and that's the modern equivalent now.

Radars by themselves aren't an issue. It's a staple for a while now, if you haven't noticed them then something might be off.

Ease of movement is an issue on this because kills are so quick. The quick verticality and movement makes it where you have to go with quick kill weapons or you can't stand a chance. In Halo if somebody started shooting at you, you had a chance to react.

Radar questions:

- it only senses motion, right?
- is there any way to tell elevation? As in, if the enemy is above, below, or on the same level

-It senses motion and possibly shooting. Crouching/slowly crouch walking won't be sensed, like in Halo.
- Yes. Faded red indicates they're in a different level from you. Intense/bright red means they're on your same level/vertical position.

Hey so I'm not finding much stuff that's useful anymore. I'm level 24, been doing Strike Tiger (24) all day and haven't found any armor over +15 Light, so I've hit a bit of a brick wall as far as leveling. Tips or tricks to help proceed? Good ways to get Rare+? Thx all!

Heh, that Hand Cannon is the only piece of equipment I actually want from this game and I haven't even had a whiff of Exotics in ~30 hours of gameplay. Like to the point that getting the weapon would increase the score I'd give the game. I'm afraid I'll end up moving on before getting my hands on it.

The PvP is ruined by the red markers on the mini map when you move. Shit decision.

I think the range on the radar is way too good. You can see the edge blips from a crazy distance in a game where most of the maps are shotgun heaven. Makes no sense.

Walking shouldn't equal showing up on radar. Shooting, yes. Hell, even sprinting. Not just walking.

I finally got an exotic weapon bounty day, and Thorn was one of the options. So happy, all I've wanted since I started this game was an exotic hand cannon and soon it shall be mine.

if walking wasn't shown there'd be no point to crouching/crouch walking though. They want to tell you that if you want the element of surprise you need to think your options: fast movement and hope you get the win, or sneak to the enemy and the element of surprise. There are games without radars. Heck even Halo has gametypes without the radar (pro slayer I believe). They gave many options, which is why it's so disappointing there's no more gametypes for this game.

Well after 2 hours in Crucible trying to do the k/d spread of 25 for the shotgun bounty, I'm still at 0. I feel like this bounty is completely unachievable for people who aren't good at pvp

You're wrong. The radar shows you at all times, even when you're crouched. When you're crouched you pulse on the map rather than appear constantly.

So I swear my boss gets his information from gamestop employees.
Tonight he says to me, "wait you didn't port your character over from the beta??"

...That is impossible, right?

I honestly hate the PvP in this game and I'm not very good at it (1.33 K/D) but I was able to get that bounty in 1.5 control matches. Control worked well since people were distracted capping points and I just played extra cautious, let your teammates go first, etc. I got pretty lucky with it but it's still possible regardless.

I just really hate how much they tie the PvE progression into requiring the PvP. It's such a downgrade after coming from TLoU multiplayer.

Do events, Patrol Missions and Bounties. Every Vanguard rank starting with 3 gives you a guaranteed Legendary.
Easiest and fastest is on earth. The patrol missions where you need to kill a specific enemy is the best. Those gets you +25 Vanguard points in a few minutes. The same as a Vanguard Strike I think.

All I want are those amazing gunslinger animations that come with the Last Word. I couldn't care less about any other weapon or piece of gear in the game.
