Well it seems I'll skip out on Morning Glories and stay with my current crop of 4 books until Zombie Tramp comes out and makes it 5. Thanks guys.

You said you were willing to drop like $800 or $1000 and you didn't commit. You obviously didn't really care. ;)

Lol no well I would have. I have really never used ebay so I figured it would have to go up that high.

Like, It would have to be $795 and I make it $800 and win.

I think there's been some admitted lows, yeah. Like I kinda feel like Bruce going and destroying Barbara and Dick's relationship is sort of out of character with the Bruce we see in the stories-- the crusty old man who does care but is terrible about letting people in-- but in that same issue there was some great stuff. Like, Alfred and Barbara just crying about what had happened to Tim was a really strong, emotional point that I felt was well executed because it didn't require anything heavy or wordy.

At the same time, though, its had some really strong stuff. Night of a Thousand Jokers was really good, I thought. Batwoman Beyond was also really nice.

Terry and his world deserve better than to be canceled.

One thing that kinda hit me hard, was how Terry kept going
to the parallel Earth to see his Dad. I mean, wouldn't you if you got a chance? As for Bruce destroying Barbara & Dicks relationship, maybe that wasn't his intention. Idk. Maybe he wanted to explain to Dick or something what happened. I was always uncomfortable with that relationship. It was always one aspect I didn't like about DCAU.

Speaking of Jenny Frison. She was at the Cincy Comic Con and my wife wanted a commission from her but she was booked. But we talked for a few. After we walked away, my wife asked me if I thought she was pretty and without hesitation I said "yep!" She gave me a playful slap and I was like "you almost drooled on David Mack last year".

Everyone is allowed their 3-5, in a marriage.

Alright guys, I'm gonna do it... I'm gonna read my comics today

I've been saying that to myself everyday for the past month.

I wish I had you guys' problem. I have had to limit my comic reading to downtime at school to make sure I don't run out too quickly. Thanks to this, I still have seven books to read (not counting the three that I've ordered but have not shipped).

The hard part is resisting reading them when I'm at home.

Man, now that I am in the thick of this JSA omnibus, the team dynamic and some of the content is really cool.

First off, when the Flash is tasked with traveling at the speed of light to sneak attack Sorrow and the way the Flash explains what's happening just sounds like some real science. It was so well written, you would think it was from experience. Then I just read Kendra's (Hawkgirl) conversation with Zauriel and it was a fascinating conversation about Christianity and souls and the afterlife.

Jealous

My digital backlog alone is scary, and then there's my physical one...

In fairness to your wife, Mack's pretty handsome.

Although, in fairness to you, Jenny Frison's adorable.

What I'm trying to say is - you two have good taste in artists.

David Mack's wife is also easy on the eyes.

Just finished The Black Mirror. Enjoyed it mostly. Francavilla's art floors me every time. Not so hot for Jocks art but it was fine. It all came together nicely. Now I need a pallette cleanser. I'll pick something from my image books I think. I had planned on reading vol 4 of American Vampire next but I'm not feeling another heavy book right away.

How many?

Three or four between the two books if memory serves.

There were actually more books released outside the US, but for domestic release, the first three Blacksad stories were condensed into one book, then Silent Hell was released next. The next book in the series, Amarillo, is due out from Dark Horse in October.

Damn, forgot to try for one more bid on the Rebekah Isaacs Rocket Raccoon, I was at 100, got outbid a few days ago at 102.50 and that's where it ended.

Prepare yourselves. October 23rd, only 15 months late (or something)

Am I the only one who pays no attention to what's out in any given week? I just take each week as a nice surprise. I'm digital only now though. Comixology and the 2000AD app although thanks to Comixology sales and just random browsing my backlog is utterly massive and growing.

I also bought some Manga in the Kindle app this week. Viz doesn't sell to the UK via Comixology but does via Amazon. It's odd. Picked up Bleach, Sidonia, Negami and Love Hina volume 1s.

I couldn't do it. I love going through the Solicits each Sunday on Previewsworld. It gets me excited for that weeks books. It also helps me budget.

Hmm? October 23, 2013 was the date it was originally solicited for. I don't see any news or mentions about its return. It's still in the works while Francavilla draws countless variants and promo images for other products. Did someone drop a new hint?

WTF Marvel! A few days ago my first month of subscription to Marvel Unlimited expired and it automatically renewed, charging me 9.99$. So far, so good.
Later that day I opened the app and it turns out I wasn't a subscriber anymore. So I mailed onlinesupport@marvel.com and got no answer to this day. The next day I tweeted them at @marvelsupport. Still no answer.
I know it was the weekend but what the hel, you don't keep open your customer service for a paid subscription service just because it's the weekend (I mean since friday)? Are we back to the 80s or something? Incredible.

Sorry for the rant but I planned on reading a lot on this weekend and I couldn't even though I paid for it. WTF Marvel indeed. Really poor customer service, adding up to the fact that the app itself is unbearable and the only good think about it is the sheer amount of comics I can read, as a total comics noob, for a good price.

onlinesupport@marvel.com never answers, people on CBR reports, that they get answers after 3 months and stuff like this.

You should better call when you live in america or email a person there directly.

I have a E-Mail adress from one guy working there, I can send you the adress via PM when I am back from work.

Please send me a PM, that I dont forget it ;)

I actually got a response from Marvel support within a couple hours of emailing them a few weeks ago. I was writing about an automatic renewal to Unlimited. Not just an automated response, either.

I've had a few digital code redemption issues in the past and have been forced to deal with Marvel over Twitter. I never receive replies to that e-mail address. I had to wait three weeks for a replacement code for Magneto only a month back.
