Another vote for Galahad-E. I've tried most of the Auto's in different configurations, and this is the most consistent for me. My combat rating sucks for a bunch of reasons (postmortem bounties and I'm really just not that good), but at the end of the day, the only chance I have of going higher then 2.0 K/D is to use the Galahad-E.
I recommend having the sight on the highest level (focus lens) and use fitted stock, not single point sling. The sling sounds nice, but the hit in stability isn't worth the trade off. I also have reactive reload (reloading after a kill grants bonus damage). Stacked with some fast reload armor perks, and you have a gun that can take on groups very nicely.

Almost the same here but I have a shotty "The Comedian". Still missing a good primary however.

Some do, some don't. Some of the Titans themselves don't know how best to use it, because nobody can shoot through the shield some people just abandon their cover to get a shot at enemies.
I run Defender and the people that kill me with a WoD up tend to do it by coming at me from the side or behind, entering the bubble and using melee or a shotgun.
Of course, if I'm not distracted, I can shotgun you as well the second you enter.
I had a funny thing happen where I was playing Control on the Mars map with the Interceptors. I run around a corner and there's an enemy interceptor. I throw up the Ward of Dawn just as he starts firing missiles at me. I guess he thinks the shield only lasts a few seconds or only takes so much damage because he kept trying. So I just started dancing inside the shield as he fired missile after missile at the shield, I was just like "no fucks".
Then he boosted at me while I was dancing and went straight through the bubble and ran me over.
I run Striker for PVP, but is there a real advantage to Defender? I like that I can insta-kill with Fist of Havoc, so I don't know if I want to let go of that
they're both nasty as all hell especially for bladedancers. the killer point for defenders is that overshield that sticks once you get in the bubble and the impact shield on melee.

Oh and there really needs to be penalties for people who in in a Crucible match. It happens way too often just because they are on the losing team. Fuck those guys. Had a game yesterday were my team was losing and 2 people left meaining it was 6 on 4. Hilariously though, I was on top of my game and we ended up winning from way behind.

I am grinding to find a freaking legendary primary weapon or something better than what I have right now.
I have a legendary sniper made for the Raid, like literally got it from a Raid drop and I need to level it up due to the fact it specializes in killing oracles, and a legendary rocket launcher that tracks the enemy. But my primary really sucks.
Hopefully the queen's bounties tomorrow will give me a good enough drop to do the radi again on Friday.

Finally scored some legendary drops over the weekend after 50+ hours of play.
Turned out they were a legendary sniper and a legendary fusion. It's a shame I dont use those particular weapons very often. I almost scrapped them for mats, but my friend told me to hold onto them.

Ha, that's my second legendary machine gun too. I won Hawk Moon from pvp and the machine guns from farming the treasure cave.
I still haven't finished the missions on Venus yet so haven't unlocked Mars. I'm lv25 so I think I will have to change the difficulty when I do get around to it.
Finally had my first attempt at the raid yesterday. Made it all the way to the last phase of Atheon! Got a legendary shotgun, cape, and chest piece, and an exotic sniper. Raid was really fun but my group was definitely not coordinated enough for that last boss fight. Excited to attempt it again with another group!
The only time I ever use a fusion rifle is for that bounty that requires 20 double kills with one.
Was going through the vault of glass with some randoms and friends, we got to the stealth area after about 2.5 hours.
I did find a cool accessory for my titan in a chest though.

If you end up deciding to dismantle it or other weapons/armor in the future, leveling them up first nets you more rare mats. Worth the time IMO.
I think most OP PvP weapon gets enough love by everyone and their mother using them in Crucible. Nothing like one weapon that dominates from close to mid range.
"But shotties!" is muttered, but good luck with getting to lethal range before fusion has toasted you from safe distance.

I am level 21 right now and about to finish the story missions on the game and most of the strikes so far. After I complete that what do I do after that? Grind for gear with more and more light? Do the weekly stuff?
Yup. And daily bounties, daily heroic stories, Eagle strikes...

I just want to say how glad I am that there are mechanics in the raid beyond shoot the bullet spongy terminator. Our clan went into the Vault of Glass for the first time last night. It was a lot of fun. We wen't in blind on purpose, nobody knew the fights. First boss took us a while to figure everything out but got him down. Figured out the 2 puzzle areas because of my awesome hunter skills(invisibility and flying through the air with blade dancer ftw) and slammed our heads against the last boss for about an hour before calling it. Still no idea what was going on in that fight, if people going into portals is random, what the debuff is etc etc. Gonna try it tonight again. About 3 1/2 hours to get to the end boss with no knowledge. started with 2 26, 2 27 and 2 28.
Tell me about it. If anything needs to be patched it's this. Running through Eagle strikes for pick ups is fun and all but come on. We're getting the same fucking battle over and over and over again. Bungie just needs to fix it so you start on Earth and just run through each one after right in a row, ending on Mars.

As a Hunter, I need Relic Iron and Helium Filament to upgrade the weapons/armour I am using.
Does this mean that I don't need Spinmetal or other elements for anything? Does each character use different materials? Or, have I just randomly got items that need Helium/Iron?

No i have items that require spinmetal as a hunter. I think maybe weapons do? I can't remember for which item it was haha!
Finally after 56 hours I got my hands on my first legendary and exotic weapons.

That would be awesome, played around with a fusion rifle yesterday, damn there good (with one hit kills).
I think it depends on the armor/weapon. Most of my armor uses Helium Filament but my exotic body uses the Spirit thing and my legendary fusion rifle uses Spinmetal.
