I'm looking to form a weekly late night raid team that meets 1-2 nights a week.

Anyone interested? The idea would be to build a solid team of good players and meet together at like 8PM PST and go for 2-3 hours. For consistency this would be the same nights every week (i.e. Tues/Wed every week at 8pm).

This way we don't have to deal with doing the content with different people every week, we can get to know each other and know everyone's strengths. It also makes learning boss encounters faster not having to explain it to new people every time.

My main requirement is that you be consistent. I've done my share of leading raids in WoW and the biggest problem is people who commit but don't show. Other than consistency I ask that you be 26 so we aren't underleveled for the content.

If you are interested, please PM me with what nights work best for you. I can commit to pretty much any night, but the 8pm PST is pretty set in stone for me. You can also message me on PSN: Aesthet1c.

I've been level 25 for a week and only have two legendaries equipped (got two other legs but they were for a Titan), so I've just been grinding rep the last few days and I'm still only 3/4 of the way to Rank 2 for Vanguard. My biggest gripe about the game is the grind for rep, because you should get WAY more from doing the strike playlist at the highest level than you do right now. +25 for a level 24 strike is a joke. I could do 3 patrol missions and get that in no time.

With all that being said, the flood gates of buying legendaries will open soon when I get rank 2 but it's still pretty annoying that it takes as long as it does.

It's pretty nuts when you consider the next tier of Strikes, the Weekly Nightfall, giving a whopping 500 Rep on completion.

Yeah but that's just too much. Too many days, too much shit. Destiny already feels like too much of a grind as it is.

BTW...do enemies give you the same amount of XP regardless of what level they are? Quickly checked it with the 9000XP bounty, a level 16 phalanx gave me the same amount of XP as a level 2 Vandal. That's just unbelievable.

I'm not going to spend 13 strange coins on a chest item after I just spent my marks of the week on a legendary item. That's just a waste when you realize how completely random everything is. Who's to say that the same item won't be there next week? After I get another legendary chest piece (after just buying one from the vendor)? I say whatever and do some strikes and end up watching people who I revive 10+ times get legendaries and don't even get me started on PvP... I'm all for working for what you need to get but you're actively playing against a loaded deck in Destiny at all times. Nobody really wins. There are people at level 28-29 who are objectively terrible at PvE and PvE. They get to play the raid and I don't because they're better at sitting in front of a cave than I am? Word? okay bungie.

Best drop I got in days was when a skirmish team quit in the opening seconds and netted me a shader. That's what I get happy about now lol. That's where the bar is set.

I'll just start a new character in the meantime but this is just all fucked up.

this hilarious.. because its full of truth. yet i cant stop playing... but i feel your pain man. my nephew is a BEAST in pvp.. stays number 1 in team match after match only to see the worst players get better loot. I'm talking 5.0 and up kd ratios.. 30 plus kills.. carrying the team.. to see the 1 kill guy get a legendary and hes a teen.. so u can just hear his disappointment in his voice.
 
I've been farming the cave for over a day and I haven't had anything higher than a blue.

Even more sickening, the blues became greens.

I have no interest in Crucible so I'm hoping the extra single player content coming is very meaty.

It's because the leveling system is Bullshit, the difference between a lvl 22 and lvl 24 strike is absolutely nothing if you're lvl 25+. All the level system does is serve as a lock to keep you out of content.

i bought an exotic emgram from Xur, ended up getting a chest piece for a different class, proceeded to dismantle it and got 2 shards. luckily for me i only needed 2 more to do the first of 3 upgrades on my dead orbit legendary chest. shards are a pain to get

It guarantees ascendant MATERIALS so it could be a mote of light, shard or energy. Don't get your hopes too high, I've been getting screwed and getting only energy.

Just a heads up that this group is probably full. I've already messaged most of you that were interested, but I'll figure out what days work best for everyone and let you guys know. Thanks for the quick response guys! Looking forward to raiding with you!
 
I decided to go to the cave farming spot on earth for the 9,000 exp bounty. There's a fireteam of 3 people there. Apparently they think I'm stealing their kills or loot, and one of them tries running around and in my line of fire. So I guess I'll just AFK and read the internet and let them do the work, lol.
 
Fucking Cryptarch. Seriously, the worst invention in the game by far.

Three legendary engrams, one gauntlet turned out to be gauntlets for the Hunter class which I don't even use and two of my primary weapon engrams turned out to both be Shingen-E. Fuck it all.

this is the best. left myself idle for like 12 minutes-returned to 2 legendary engrams and 4 rare engrams.
 
Was going through the vault of glass with some randoms and friends, we got to the stealth area after about 2.5 hours.

I did find a cool accessory for my titan in a chest though.

At least just found a blue engram that turned into a purple scout rifle...

swiftly followed by a purple one turning into lv18 green legs.....

also I keep being D'ced now, every 5 mins or so is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm actually this close to liking that line, but the delivery and context kill it. If it was in the middle of a pitched firefight, or delivered with more panache, it'd work. As is, it's just so indicative of the game's writing :P
