I

It honestly amazes me how other than the timelocked ones, strikes aren't even worth stepping foot into if you're capped on marks and already into legendaries. They just sit there. Dungeons with no purpose because they can't give actual good loot... not even rarely... just blues... I can't really count legendary engrams from random drops since you can get that anywhere else more efficiently.

This resonates with me. You'd think folks could at least get some guaranteed legendaries from the higher-leveled strikes aside from the Nightfall weekly, but a level 24 is pretty much stuck getting blues.

The raid is better at giving appropriate loot, However, I think things like the ships and shaders should go to every raider and weapons/gear should be distributed after every boss/event unless the person has beaten the boss earlier in the week. I've seen too many people get only Ascendant stuff dropped for them, which is crappy.

Yep. If I'm there I'll hang out and empty my ammo a couple times. It's a godsend to get weapon parts and sapphire wire (hunter).

Ok, I lied a little. I did spend the entire browns game there on my Vita and ended up with a legendary helmet. The Vita finally earned its keep!

It's fun to me.

I got most of my gear through rep, xur, got my exotic auto in crucible, but I still like to grind.

It's crazy that, according to the trophy list, .2% of players have defeated the raid... Yet I am constantly running into other players that have beaten it in crucible.

This guy was using blink really good. So good that I literally just gave up fighting him and let him kill me lmao

One shotgun shot, two kills

Got 3 kills with one golden gun bullet

the bullet went through 2 people because of the overpenetrating perk, and then the explosion killed a third with the combustion perk. I really wish the combustion was more instant. You never know, even in PVE if the combustion will kill enemies near it, so you might as well waste the third shot anyway

Last night, it was 0.1% on the PS4.

Guess I'm now part of the 0.2%.

The raid had to have been the best part of the game. That itself upsets me because it makes Destiny in its current state feel like a demo of something yet to come.

0_0 i gotta level up my hunter

Have you got a hushwind yet? I think I prefer it to the galahad. Still miss my Shingen though. Why do you like the galahad better? Mine was a bucker and a kicker!

Well it's the first auto rifle Ive actually stuck with. I really dig its lack of any sort of strong recoil as well as its quick reloading and rate of fire. Definitely gonna stick with leveling it up and holding onto it indefinitely until I stumble across a Legendary or Exotic AR. Im primarily a shotgun/handcannon user.

Is this your opinion after fully upgrading it?

I just got the bounty today, contemplating whether to do it or not.

No upgrades yet. I'm not having fun with it. Having to constantly reload is annoying.

I'd rather have a larger magazine than instant reload.

But if you guys tell me it gets really better when fully upgraded i'll give it another chance.

My raid loot was the shader, a shotgun and lots of energy and shards. No raid gear =/ But at least I really like the shader lol.

The fact the only decent ways to earn high level stuff is all timegated is affecting me even more than I expected it to. I'm rarely a fan of timegates, but I was expecting from things they'd said, there would be things to rarely get from other stuff. But those things instead ended up being just pure unadulterated RNG and most people with Hawkmoon, for example, probably just randomly got one thrown at them in the Crucible. I would have zero problem running Dust Palace 100 times trying to get Hawkmoon. I was actually expecting that to be a possibility lol. But I can't even do that =p

Most MMOs have better main story quests on release than Destiny. I just wanted to get through to the "opened up" game that was claimed to exist. I went from a lifeless story to a boring grind with people AFK in Vanguard Tiger and getting a better chance at legendary loot in a cave. Joy.

Really? WoW has no story at all. It has *lore*, but not a story.

Dem millions of copies! Honestly, I'm surprised anyone is still playing Destiny from what I read in the review thread. I kid, I kid.

Honestly, I think I was just burned out that night since I played for 5 hours already by that point.

I was one of the most talkative people in the GAF crucible team I played with on Saturday.

well then your goal is to be the most enthusiastic, talkative person the next time we play and I want to hear some EMOTION

It's only during the super. This is because the cooldown is so small.

The overshield isn't constant, but I guess if you put points into Strength, you could possibly get it to that point. I invest in Intelligence and Discipline. My Raidiance form can last a while, and I have grenades for days.

Oh ok, so you can use Radiance more often than Super Nova. I could see spamming nades being pretty beastly, would be interesting to experiment with anyway.

If anyone wants to join our clan, look up the team "Vic Vipers". We still need a couple level 25+ peeps for the Vault of Glass. Still not gonna tackle it for awhile though as we all mostly want to be equipped with Legendary gear and at least level 27. We need the members though!

No you either need the full legendary raid set or 3 pieces and an exotic mixed in.

Raid armor maxes out at 30 light while normal legendary stuff from the various vendors caps out at 27..

Huh? You can only wear one exotic so what do you mean a mix?

Also the raid gear is guaranteed at the end and for your class? Because we are on the last boss and the only legendary thing from the 3 chests and such is a sniper rifle.

Fuck doing that raid multiple times .

Am I the only one that kinda likes hanging out at the loot cave? It feels like one of the most social places in the game. Not to mention that it's not only shooting into a cave. You get the public events that spawn there and the random war cluster fuck which can be a lot of fun and absolutely CRAZY with a lot of high level people there. I'm not hanging out there extensively, but I'll probably spend 15-30 minutes there to cool off between challenging strikes/missions and just to hang out.

I agree with this. I have met alot of cool people at the loot cave and its very rare there is a griefer that gets too close or won't leave the cave. I'm wondering if the loot cave was somewhat intentional by Bungie. Seems like it would be a super easy in game update to patch the cave yet its still going strong.

Any one else deal with exotic bounties yet? I get redirected to the Warlock Vanguard and get hit with this doozy....

Eep.

I've gotten maybe 3 or 4 randomly out of 50+ public events. I think you are probably better off doing the 1 public event and then finding a decent farm spot and hoping for legendaries / blues to DE.

I received quite a few at first but after that initial bunch, I've received 0.

I got my 2 bonus materials very early and it's been nothing for a long time. Maybe they took that feature out to slow progression? Doesn't seem worth it anymore after the 1st one each day.

A lot of core people play the crucible .

Yeah I pretty much set a timer for that lol. It just really bothers me I want enjoy the game but when I can't get anything better than what i currently have whats the point? The Crucible, now that's something I enjoy just wish loot dropped better, maybe I am spoiled because of Diablo 3.

I feel like that too, but have finally accepted the fact that in Destiny progression mostly happens through unfortunate material farming and rep/marks. Loot is just business. Bungie just framed the game as loot based, but in actuality loot is secondary.

It saved us twice on the nightfall strike but i didnt find it as useful on the raid.

I suppose that's the nice thing about being able to switch them whenever you want. You can swap to a specific build if you anticipate that it will help in w/e you are doing. It also seems like being comfortable and good with your subclass counts at least as much as what build you pick, so I dig that.

I feel like Voidwalker with the exotic helm that heals you on super (think it's Apotheosis Veil) or the one that improve Nova Bomb is the way to go for me.

Is there a Sunsinger Warlock here that can explain to me why they feel it's the better choice? It seems as though most of the high level Warlocks I've seen post on here go with that subclass and I'm curious to see why in case it convinces me to switch over from VoidWalker. The self rez is nice and I can see flame element grenades being useful more often than void damage ones, but what else? Also, how good/noticeable is the boost you get from the super? Better be good to lose that beastly fireball.

Because you become a SunBro who has JesusBro like powers at max level and you can spam grenades like no one's business.
How do you think people handle with 6 solar grenades surrounding them? They don't they just die.

Yeah put me on team Galahad-E. That thing is righteously badass.

I love how I've been hanging out for a Shingen-E forever...then finally get one at Level 23, and the VERY NEXT DECRYPTION is a Galahad-E!

I'm thinking, RNGesus, you do love me! ..I blow Cryptarch a kiss and waltz off to do some Treasure Cave and rank up these bad boys!

...literally 1 minute into Treasure Cave shooting, break the R2 trigger on my only DS4.

RNGesus, you got jokes bro.

Just tried soloing Xyor...yeah that ain't happening. Couldn't even make it past the big door with threes waves. I'm slightly under leveled, and the Hallowed Knight's shields just weren't dropping quickly enough.

Eep.

That one is pretty easy, it just takes time. I prefer the moon strike myself as I think it's easier and quicker than the Earth strike. Each moon strike only takes about 15 minutes with a good team.

Wtf.

Me and a bunch of other Dutch fellows were doing the treasure cave when all of a sudden we got ambushed from all sides by the enemy.

They kept spawning out of the doorway and on the right of the field. It was ridiculous and awesome at the same time.
