That happens at dusk and morning I believe. Bladedancer can go nucking futs in that little spawn room. If you have other high level people with you it;s a great bonus for even more gear/drops. combine that with the public events and there are multiple sources for items in that area.
 
So I have 13 Strange coins. What to do with them? That seller who only appears at the weekend requires these, right? Do I need anything else and what can I get?

For 13 strange coins you can get an exotic item for your class. Which slot depends on what he sells when he comes back Friday.
 
I do not have access to all of the internets right now so I would appreciate some info.

If I am on the final exotic bounty that says depleted hand cannon and 500 crucible void points, what hand cannon will I receive upon completion?

I really should have looked into it before I clicked...but I just went for it.

Yes, he comes on Fridays and stays all Saturday. You just need those and motes of light if you want the engram.

Thats fucking genius. Makes me think that when Gaffers crucible up we should all use the same shader for the sake of target recognition.

Yes just Xur. 13 will get you one piece of exotic armor, he sells 3 random pieces (1 for each class). He also sells one random exotic weapon for 17 coins, and an exotic engram for 23 motes of light.

A does it all have to be raid legendary stuff then? Or can it be a mix of legendary, 1 exotic and 2 raid?
 
So, Xur might not have the sun gauntlets on Friday but will he definitely have an exotic for Warlock class? Really bummed I couldn't farm the strange coins in time.

I think I was there. Was your group made of a defender, hunter and a couple of warlocks? It was fun anyway

he sells one exotic per class and one exotic engram.
so yeah, he'll have warlock stuff.
 
I am really bad at Crucible. I have fun being bad though. Makes the few kills I get that much more exciting to me.
Apologies to anyone unfortunate enough to be teamed w me.

Does Xur sell legendaries, too, or just exotics? I already have an exotic weapon and armor for my class and am looking for legendaries to round out my light.

All of the missions, even the 10 rep ones on patrol, have some connection to the narrative. Sure, you might not be interested in it, but it's certainly based in the story of the game.

The "story" missions are even more driven by (obviously) the story in the game.

I think people take this idea "there might as well be no story in the game" because they find the story bad to mean there is literally no story. Which is wrong.

I honestly feel like most of the storytelling is being done by the environments, and pretty expertly so. It's impossible to separate the environments from the action in the game so to say that there's no story in the game because of clunky dialogue or disconnected missions and ignoring all the ways that this solar system that's been left to rot is slowly revealed over the course of the game is kind of off base to me.

Yes, it is a badly written set of scenes, but the story of this created universe is quite compelling.

For example, I was pretty lukewarm on Mars when I started but when I hit The Buried City I was so much more into it. And actually the dialogue does a really good job of setting up the backstory of the place and why the bad guys were interested in it. But really 80% of it is in the visual design. Classic logos on the walls, expert color choices, all under varying layers of dust and sand, all this human innovation left to die on a rock in space, picked at by alien vultures.

I believe he will always have one exotic armor for each class and one exotic weapon. I'm hoping he has something better for Hunters this weekend, and preferably not a chest piece since I just bought a legendary.

Strictly exotic armor and weapons. If you want legendaries, spend your marks with the vanguard/crucible vendors and the 3 factions.

I need to do it also, i went in there by myself as level 27 warlock and couldn't get through the door

Question I keep forgetting to ask: Is the final boss fight of Vault of Glass buggy?
I can't tell if it's a bug or a mechanic, but when the portal folks are exiting, sometimes you'll end up on the other side of the exit gate facing away from other teammates. This sucks especially when you're about to go dark.

Thorn. And as a heads up, you aren't on the last part of that bounty. You'll need to defeat Xyor the Unwed in the Level 26 Epic Strike (aka the Summoning Pits on hard as hell mode) to get the gun afterwards. Better start saving Arc/Solar weapons now..

And it is a lot of things that are just a different assortment of stats. Sure that is here as well, but less so, and there are a bunch of really cool really unique items.

When fighting someone that is blinking around remember that they can only do it twice really fast then they have to wait for a sort of cool down before they can use it again. Or that is how the hunter one works at least.
 
I know people are having their issues with the game but I am absolutely loving it! I just got to level 27 on my hunter so I am ready to go raiding, it sucks to have to wait for my other buddies to get to level 26 first but it will be worth it. In the meantime I'm going to be leveling up my Hunter whom I have an exotic chest piece waiting for him, it's called lupus something or other.

Yes, and while I feel your pain, he damn well better not have those gauntlets again. 3 weeks in a row will be such a bummer.
