When will the Vanguard marks reset? I've maxed my since Thursday and it's still locked.

When will I be able to earn them again?

In a movie or a book, sure. This is done more like a TV Show, where we're introduced to the players but only the opening threads are introduced with a suggestion for more later.

I also killed the 25 hunters in 2 games...im 5 games in now and I swear, 2 warlocks killed......
 
Important question, can you dismantle Legendary Cloaks for ascendant materials ?

I would think so, since you can get Sapphire wire from rare cloaks.

If that happens to be possible, I'll just keep buying faction cloaks, as they only cost glimmers and don't require any faction leveling up.

I would gladly pay 2500 glimmers for a single ascendant shard.

I really don't think any rare AR can outside of the max stability shingen - and even then its suspect

ftr, i don't think the AR can swing with anything but the majority of pulse rifles. people really don't give PRs a fair shake. A PR with high stability is basically the perfect weapon for everything
 
how do you unlock new skills, exactly?

I'm reading that you get exp for them, but they level up (or rather, your subclass levels up) separately from your main character. so how do I get, for example, a new jump skill instead of a new granade or any other skill?

Already did it, I got nothing but typical mats that you would from blues. It was a duplicate anyway so there was no reason to keep it but it's disappointing.

Huh, I've been doing the same thing too actually. Got my warlock up to 21 and am now working on my titan. Despite the level difference I've been hovering near the top with level 27's most games too so I really don't think the level difference is making much of an impact. Once you have the base skills down it's pretty even. My titan doesn't even have a heavy weapon right now either, should probably buy one at the gunsmith when I'm back at the tower.
 
I can't get into the tower, anyone else having problems? (PS4)

I log in okay, see the selection menu, select tower, and it seems to load in, but sits at a black screen on both of my characters.

how does the checkpoint system work with new players? if i were to join you having never even started, would we all start where you left off?
 
I've just leveled an alt to 20. I think that once you hit level 20 with one character, doing every story mission for the first time on a given character should give you a single Vanguard mark. That's 25'ish marks total so it's not like it would be a big deal and it would take the edge off of the nagging thought that you're wasting time. Double gold daily rewards for public events will be worth it though and I've had fun.

The story is such a disappointing trainwreck though, the stranger Exo is the only character with a few remotely interesting conversations (little light). I love the random banter in the Tower, the tiny bits of fluff on items are pretty good, but everything else about the presentation is just awful. Pity, because the world has so much potential.

I think I know how they wrote the script. It was one of those games where you write 2 lines on a piece of paper and then fold it so that only the last line is visible and pass it to the next writer who adds his own 2 lines, folds and passes the damn thing along. It's the only explanation.
 
What purchasable Legendary AR is most like the Galahad-E / Cydonia that is good?

I've walked around and seen a few that have the same stats, but just wondering what the "best" one is?

Is this a for real post? I mean there is 200+ pages of posts in this OT alone. Most talking about the "Christmas Cave" or linking guides and youtube videos. I don't mean to be rude but skimming a few pages would answer this question so many times. Why is it better to take someone else's time to answer something that has been gone over in so many times when a user could simply go back to almost any page in the OT or Google/Youtube search it.

I am sure some fellow Gaffers will be kind and answer but it is mind blowing to me. Maybe I am just being cranky tonight and if so I apologize. It reminds me of the weekly are the Sony Golds better than Elites thread that we get.

Old cranky dude out!
