I am a level 24 Warlock. I understand the whole light attribute angle, but how am I supposed to get this better gear? I have played lots of strikes and stuff and I just dont get shit. I finally got my first legendary engram drop today at level 24 by killing a random Drek or whatever... it turned into a blue armor piece that was worthless.

What has been more effective than playing the high level strikes and missions on the hardest difficulty my character can handle? Just farming at that Earth cave. I not only got all of my armor from there but I got enough junk blues to level my Crypt asshole to level 6. And as a gift for leveling him from 5 to 6 I got an actual legendary, a sniper rifle.

So I need to level up to Vanguard 2? I am like 1400 short and the grind seems unreal with such little, repetitive content to plow through again and again and again. If I am Vanguard 1 and only about 400 towards 2, should I continue or just join a faction?

Also, about what level is the lowest you can contribute in VoG? I don't want to be the guy who keeps dying.

you should definitely be continuing toward vanguard 2; you are much closer than you think, though.

I'm sure the actually patch notes are huge.There is a lot of loot exploits that need fixing :)

Okay, i am sorry. But really why do you think the loot progression at end game is okay? Spending a ton of time grinding content only to get drops not for your class or junk is bad. Players should be rewarded for doing hard content not thrown to the mercy of the almighty RNGesus.
 
So, I'm playing the crucible for the first time. I am lvl 10, it keeps throwing me with lvl 20+. I can't stand up to their weapons and abilities. Does this sound right to anyone? I thought it put you at equal level players.

Funnily enough that event dropped while I was outside the cave, lol.

Are you sure that wasn't the event where the Fallen move against the Hive?

Do you not realize that you can just stand there AFK next to the people who are shooting the cave and loot comes out when mobs are killed? You only need to actually shoot the cave if you're trying to grind out weapon upgrades there.

You mean Nightfall? I did it solo. Just make sure got a machine gun and fusion rifle both void damage, and a sniper void for boss. Also buy lots of ammo things because it doesn't recharge when you're empty.

And there are banners in the Vanguard hall hanging from the ceiling, three in a group, one for each class with just enough space for one more. I already have enough Strange Coins for an armour piece and weapon for next week. I hope Xur brings me the helmet or chest piece I want for my hunter.
 
So I'm currently at the final boss area of the VoG, but everyone in my fireteam really had to go offline. I'm still looking to finish the raid before the reset, so I'm either looking for 5 capable guardians or a group with an open spot.
 
Looking for one more to fill a spot on last boss on Raid. 27+. Preferably a Titan, but doesn't have to be. You'll most likely
be covering one of the portals instead of being sent back.

I have two characters, one level 27 the other at 7. I haven't had any problems gearing up and many people I know have not either. I get drops from green to legendary constantly. I also like getting drops for other classes other than the one I play as.
 
If Bungie wanted to stagger how quick people get loot they should have created a system not based around low probability RNG and instead focused on a rep reward system.

The rep system could be sped up by quests, bonus rewards for playstyles and a host of other things.

Instead you have an obviously flawed system of disbursing equipment (as well as boring strikes) that leads players to farm a cave because they want to get into raiding.

I love how the game plays but the content is just not up to snuff and the methods by which one can attain weapons/gear is flawed. If the concept is too keep people from excelling at the game too quickly there are better methods of staggering/stalling on gear than their current one that's for sure.
 
Just hit 24. Thinking of waiting until 28 to hit the raid. Bladedancer is fully leveled. Time to get Gunslinger back up. Can't wait!
 
Just decrypted 5 legendary engrams all at once and got 4 legendary items from them. Also had a rare engram (one of several) that became a legendary. Cryptarch is my pal today.

Not interested in making other characters really as this game doesn't deserve it. I am only interested in focusing on my one true character dat Titan and that's it. I'm keeping the stuff incase Bungie decided to add trading between other players or something.

EDIT: All these legendaries that I gained were from Vanguard playlists and the cruicible so, I wasn't farming which pisses me off even more. I'm just waiting to hit Vanguard/Cruicible Rank 2 and gain more marks so I can just buy this shit for my self and LEVEL UP FOR FUCKS SAKE.

I'm a warlock and I have two pieces of exotic titan armor and one legendary titan helmet. So I understand your frustration. i did buy my armor though cause If there's a clear path to leveling I would rather take that than rely on luck. I did luck out on a legendary helmet which helped a ton since it's the most expensive piece of armor.

I've got 2 def/str (either or) 28 and 26 titans ready to raid. Neither of us have done the raid though, but willing to learn. Both have mics. Add The_Reckoning and Neoflex if interested
