Well I had a pretty good weekend. Got all my characters past the level 26 threshold. Really loving the "ninja" type spec for Bladedancer (invisibility and speed). I was so bummed out to find out that you can only equip one exotic armor and weapon per character though. At any rate, this week will be spent trying to get myself a legendary helmet or body piece for my hunter, just to cap that off. I'm really hoping my friends get some luck now and get geared to 26 for Vault of Glass. I still have yet to attempt it but one of them just has no luck getting purple and already bought his piece for the week from the Vanguard. Here's what i've got right now:

Weekly Nightfall just gave me The Last Word Exotic HandCannon.....

I was literally just saying how that was the only weapon I genuinely wanted. Finally got lucky!
 
Well, that was fun. Finally got my faction rep to level 5, now I'm taking off the Titan mark and getting my Vanguard rep up, since I have 200 vanguard marks just sitting there.

Yah. I'm doing my first match trying to complete it and I've had enough already

I'm going to abandon when I get the chance. Won't reach level three by the end of the week but who cares. PvP entirely irritates me greatly
 
So, guys. I really enjoyed the game up to Level 20 when I finished the story missions. But I'm not into grinding and I'm trying to decide whether to trade the game in.

I bought it on X1 because a buddy of mine has it, but he's never on so I solo'd the main game. The lack of matchmaking for strikes kind of puts me in a spot and I'm having trouble understanding just what there is for me to do in the game that doesn't involve farming and failure.

Any suggestions? If it's likely Bungie will fix some issues and make the game more accessible to a solo player like me, I'll keep it around. I certainly enjoyed the gunplay and art.

That's a good question that I'd love the answer to as well as I am struggling to get to Rep 2 with the FWC.

I'm glad this event came about. I watched some videos of the cave and was considering giving it a visit this evening. Now that the Queen's Wrath event is active, I feel like I can continue to avoid the cave and the cheapness/filthiness I would inevitably feel after milking that spawn hole like a factory farmed cow (no offense intended to those who love farming that area).

I'll be hitting some of you up this evening to do some daily/weekly events. I'll bring my spacebeard and fireborn if you bring some firepower! :)
 
I don't do any bounties I don't care about like sniper rifle headshot kills etc. just abandon and wait for refresh to something else.
 
Finally scored my first EXOTIC WEAPUON last night via legendary engram (60 hours of playtime).

It's a scoped shotty called The Universal Remote. The thing wrecks house up close.

I'm rolling FWC and when I turned in these bounties, the icon for my rep was the witches logo not FWCs. I think her rep is ONLY for bounties, not any patrol missions you might do while getting the bounty.

Not sure if her mission that you unlock gives you rep for her too. We beat it so fast, Chugen sent two rockets into Mars mans face, I thought it was a glitch.

Anyone know if witches missions give you witches rep? And how much?

Also if you want to do the fallen tears bounty, in cosmodrome, that ship that drops fallen always drops one yellow dude and returns with more like every two minutes.

I'm pretty sure that as soon as you see the bounty completed you can return to orbit to skip the cutscenes. I forgot to do this and had to endure the painful cutscene.

I have two purple sharders already so I can relate to VE3TRO. Bungie loved the color purple in the Halo series as well, so he might be onto to something. I personally like the purple shaders, but would love to have purple/orange instead of purple/red, purple/pink or the two atrocious red/white/blue shaders that I've collected thus far.

- my KDR is all over the place. Sometimes it's close to 2.0, other times it's below 0.5. Yesterday was so frustrating. I played 3 matches and my best KDR was 0.87. Being in a team with a similar performance didn't help overall result (lost all 3 matches).

- I noticed a strange thing when I rolled Warlock (I have lvl 20 Hunter, but wanted to try different class); there are some people that kill me with literally with 1-2 shots. They carry primary weapons, it's not a sniper shot or anything like that. When I leveled up some skills (specially the ones that increase armor), I noticed that I'm significantly harder to take down. I thought that any non-Iron Banner mode ignored level advantages as well as equipment levels?

- continuing from the previous point, I noticed that I can barely take down shield on some players. I deal mix of yellow and white damage and their shield barely goes down 50%. They spot me and take me out in like 2 shots.

- I tried using Fusion Rifle and the results are mixed - sometimes I have great performance, other times, I can't aim for shit and get killed while trying to aim at my target.

The main reason I went with Warlock is that I noticed that I often failed to activate Super on my Hunter. I spent entire matches waiting for a perfect moment to activate Golden Gun and in the end I completely forgot about it. Also, Nova Bomb can easily take out Titan's bubble (my most shining moment with Warlock was taking out 3 Guardians with a single Nova Bomb while they were capturing a control point - 2 of them were under Titan's bubble), and it doesn't really require any careful strategy when using (Golden Gun is easily wasted since you have no special protection when the skill is active). Then there is the melee attack - Hunter is the only class that doesn't have 1HK melee attack. Knife throw is mostly a miss since no one likes to stand in place and wait to get killed. Of course, this is just my personal view on Hunter, there are many people that play Hunter masterfully. I guess I just find Warlock easier to play with.

So, any tips?

P.S. I use Cydonia-AR3. When I get to lvl 14 I plan to switch to Shingen-C.

Focus on learning the maps, and where people actually are in relation to what your radar is telling you. Most people just sprint around and play really aggressively so your KDR can skyrocket just by aiming down your sights when someone is coming around the corner. Getting the first shot is critical to getting kills.
 
Ok. Just checked the app. Wow.

Looks like she sells a mark just like any other faction. I got 50 rep from her so far so I can confirm her missions DO NOT give you rep. Looks like imma have to put FWC on hold. :}

it'd be fine if ARs weren't in the game... the disparity in kill times is just too much
 
I was playing rumble for one bounty and using a hand cannon for the headshot bounty. I won 2 matches in a row, the 3rd game everyone but one person were using a hand cannon, lol.
