So it seems like new story content won't come until the expansion in December. I got the expansions in the collector's edition, so I'll play them. I do wonder how willing people will be to explore the current world for 3 more months.

Just keep re-rolling until you get the Restoration story mission, it's the easiest. There's only around 6 story missions in the rotation anyway so it shouldn't take long to get it.

So on these Queen's missions, there is nothing stopping you from returning to orbit over and over in order to do the Earth mission? You'll get a legendary each time you do the Earth mission? Not just the first time for each mission/location per week?

Asked this before, but how does this work? Just completed the restoration bounty and then beat the Queens Wrath mission.
Really trying to make this as fast and easy as possible for me, haha.

Blind. So blind that you don't even know what you have to do until you accept. As to the latter part of the question, you won't necessarily get the other two at a later time. The way it works is that you have 3 random bounties out of a larger pool to choose from. so the next time you see an exotic bounty, it won't necessarily have either of the other two as an option.

Although, from what I understand, the bounties do tend to be offered in set groups of 3; Invective vs. Thorn vs. Bad Juju seems to be a pretty common question around here.

I think you need at least 24. Or I guess 21 ^, but 24 should be enough.

I'm pretty sure I didn't have the option for thorn when I picked up the Bad JuJu bounty. I looked it up beforehand.

Seeing as there's an established etiquette for handing loot cave runs, what's the best way of dealing with situations where you load into an OId Russia instance on your own, and you're not in a fireteam?

Is it better to try and persevere on your own/wait for a random person to join you, or go into orbit and load back in again?

I only ask because I was bumping into loads of groups yesterday evening, but haven't been able to find anyone doing it since?

Thorn is a bad weapon, is there is really no other way to say it.

And since you asked, I love hand cannons. The lackluster clip size and reload speed make it useless.

i got a legendary hand cannon from FWC when i hit level 3 but I have a hard time putting down my blue hc with double the clip size and much better impact. kinda sucks when you do finally get a legendary and your blue is ultimately better... only thing my purple has better is higher max damage potential.

This game has fucked me up so much physically. I go to sleep late and feel like a zombie at work. I'm so addicted and it's scary because this is how I was with Gunbound. Shit almost ruined my life. Wonder if I should start pulling back.

When my first thought on wake up is to check the bounties and do a few small missions then I know there is a problem lol.

Was playing the Dust Palace today with two random players. We got to the final section without any problems at all, but all the Psion Flayers started giving us trouble plus the other enemies with shields nearly blew us up.
And just when we thought we were gonna die one of the Psion Flayers fell off the railing and off the map. I don't even know how that happened, cause they don't jump at all, and we hadn't even removed it's shield yet.

Me and my friends developed a tactic where we use rocket launchers to launch the flayers into the air and off the railing from the landing platform. Two of them usually spawn on the left side of the platform and are usually pretty easy to blow off the railing with two or three rockets each (one to launch them in the air and the other to blow them away). After you kill the Cabal adds you can just melee/fusion rifle the final guy by circling him and trading punches on him. That way he usually doesn't know who to focus on and you can pretty much kill him from full health before the next wave arrives. The melee tactic worked on a lvl 24 strike with lvl 25 chars. We're all 27 now so it probably won't work on the highest difficulties, maybe the rocket tactic does though.

Did three Queen missions today, nabbed that nice legendary helmet and dismantled the other two leggies for ass shards. Good shit. Also found a legendary engram in one of the Queen missions but of course it turned into a blue. If Bungie kept those Queen missions in indefinitely the end game would be a lot more interesting/quicker equipment upgrades, let's see how it will turn out.

Not sure there's an etiquette, as everyone receives the same drops. You could dance on the hill while everyone else shoots, then run in the cave when they do and grab all the same loot.

I have the Devil you Know and its a MONSTER! I think overall its better than the exotic hand cannon the Thorn. It hits like a freight train and each kill nets you bonus ammo directly into the magazine. DO IT!

From what I hear (really have just heard it here) we have Marty's narcissism to thank for having no volume controls ... which isn't much because the music is so fucking loud I can't hear anything. Don't get me wrong, it's great, but with a good headset like mine it's really hard to hear your teamates when it's important.

Wasn't the game already delayed from Holiday 2013 to Spring 2014 to September? I just think Bungie had no idea what to do with the game.

I really don't get why people want the grimoire in game. Did you actually read the books in Skyrim or the codices in Mass Effect? I don't want to sit on my couch and read tiny text on my TV. When I'm on my couch I want to play Destiny. I'll read the cards when I can't be playing the game.

Yes? Enjoying the lore is part of playing the game for me. I hate the hell out of other media stuff in games though, as it always feels like stuff that could be in game but was added elsewhere to get you to buy/use another product. You earn the cards in game though doing ingame stuff. How hard would it have been to just had that database there as well? Like it being cut for time is mind boggling. I had to even google them when I kept seeing the popups but no menu in game for them.

Yeah A Dubious Task is pretty easy to get. And once you level the shotgun it fires full auto and regens ammo.

It fires full auto as soon as you get it. Default setting.

The reload time is horrific though. You /need/ to take a reload perk when you run it or it will probably get you killed.

I started to do the 5 strikes without dying quest and I swear someone on my team knew it and was trolling me. Right at the last boss, as I was going to fire a rocket (which I've done against this boss about 2 billion times), he "accidentally" jumps right in front of me and I suicide. Was pretty funny. Yet sad.
