I haven't tested this, but someone was mentioning that completing one of the strikes on normal difficulty would result in a blue fusion rifle as a mission reward - given that some of them do give level X gear fixed rewards, that might be true, I just can't remember which one it might be.

Otherwise, pray for weapons vendor or cryptarch to stock a rare fr/special weapons engram :D

c) Chests are fucking everywhere. Everywhere. Everywhere. You have not found them all, because they're everywhere.

d) Nodes are a bonus.

e) Max Agility, Bring a weapon with Lightweight (+2 Agility), use your fastest movement mode, only get off your Sparrow to open the chest/loot the node, then get right back on it, don't summon a new one.

That's it. Run chest loops in different areas on each planet, get loaded to the gills with materials, plus bonus glimmer/engrams/ships/materials/etc.

I prefer to do this in a three man fireteam split farming patrol missions for free rep, and you can do public events for free ascendant materials + marks, but it's not necessary, if you JUST want materials, you can focus on them and get them quickly.

Endorsed; toward the bold, this is essentially the best kind of "farming" in the game especially for reputation. It's important to understand that patrol missions are completed for all fireteam members regardless of whether or not they were even anywhere near the beacon.

One tiny further note, do the Weekly Nightfall Strike (if you're able) as early in the week as possible. The buff it gives you adds +20% to all rep gain in addition to the bonus XP.

Holy shit, I remember just regular story missions giving me level 14 blues. That might be where I need to look. Thank you! I know where I'll be outside of the tough stuff tonight.

The Cryptarch and the Gunsmith aren't going to help me, ever. They understand who I am and are not my allies.

Plus, what really makes it so exasperating and irritating is the fact that you have t replay these missions over and over and here that same inane dialogue be repeated again and again.

Ok. I am pretty upset I didn't get ONE piece of Raid gear from completing it last night. Although we only found 2/3 chests.

Really annoyed because that shit isn't easy, and getting 6 people to do it isn't easy either.
 
Anyone got anything else than a helm or chestguard from the Queen's missions? Need legendary greaves, but I only got a helm and chestguard times three now... This is not RNG again is it?

I don't think any Bungie members want to post anywhere after the harsh language they've been receiving from the gaming community about the game.

I mean, if he posted here, people would pretty much lynch him with questions about why this and that is bad.

It's like for each bounty you get a ticket, you cash in one ticket by completing a mission.

I was hoping that was sarcasm! that was a near-perfect use of Radiance in Control imo.

Really all the classes have their place to absolutely shine in pvp. it's pretty neat.

I think it will be more orderly. Communicating with us can be a positive experience. That said, I'd love to be a fly on the wall at a Bungie meeting.

I haven't done the Raid yet. If you wanna try again this weekend let me know what times work for you, I have a mic and I'd love to try. a_javierp on PS4 (Level 27 Titan).

It kinda sucks that you can go through this insane hassle and come out with nothing to show for it though :/ I mean I know it's fun and satisfaction for having done it is its own reward but still.

Thank you for this post. I'm really a dedicated crucible player. But I usually like to do 1 pve activity a day. So was curious. Was noticing my vanguard marks climbing a little bit. so was debating on which to do 1st: my order or Vanguard. now I know to just do vanguard when doing the pve activities for sure. Thanks a lot

Bungie employees are without a doubt lurking here and reading everything. That is an absolute certain. Whether or not they are implementing or thinking about implementing any suggested fundamental changes to the game is another story.

double ha, nope i didn't... i don't consider myself very good or consistent. most gaffers i play with put me to shame. KingOfCra5h, now that dude is a machine.

Do you get a guaranteed piece of armor? Or is it an engram?
 
Ascendant materials aren't nothing, you need a pile of them to fully upgrade your gear.

It sucks not getting weapons/armor, but those mats will treat you well.

The Queen's Bounty is (temporarily) making it easier to earn shards, but it won't last, take advantage while you can!

We can suggest things all we want. That doesn't mean that they can put them in without going through Activision first.
