I did all the bounties already except the pvp ones. I hope to fuck that doesn't mean I wasted chances getting legendary gear since I didn't play the wrath mission right after each bounty

Btw ... Scout rifle headshot bounty = lol. Only damn one in the room with one as I get pelted with auto rifles making it hard to even aim the damn think. Holy shit I hate this gun in pvp. Gotta be super accurate for a long duration of time while the opponents are blinking and sliding around. Wtf

You should have a ticket for each bounty you completed. Each mission you do will use one ticket.

people keep talking about how blade dancers are op and cant be killed I get one shotted by shotguns all the time when using blade dancer. I'm assuming its just the terrible netcode and matchmaking at play. I didn't realize you even get a shield when blade dancing.

I would have claimed this (and had no issues reaching 24 without even trying) as of yesterday, but then I heard fro someone who had not had a single blue drop with Light despite hours of play at level 20. RNG can be cruel.
 
While I agree that the Queen's Bounty is not "for us" (so to speak), there's no reason the weapons you buy couldn't be legendary. The gear you get as rewards for doing the missions are.

I believe there's an early strike that rewards rare weapons, there might be one that consistently rewards a fusion rifle, not sure.

Some are. some aren't. I managed to do one by myself then got trampled in the next lol So it's worth trying at least.

So let's say I load into a difficult mission for the Queen's bounty. If I go to orbit then go back into the Queen's mission, will I be given the same mission or does it reset and give me a new random one?

gonna run some low level story missions tonight and see about the loot rewards. I can foresee myself having to buy 6 legendary fusion rifles to dismantle over weeks though, my luck is exactly that bad.

FYI, start saving glimmer cos you're gonna need 50 special ammo packs for the last part. You'll get through the PvP one quicker than you think, did it in two rounds myself.

Cheesing that fight was definitely the way forward. When I eventually do it with my mate I'll be able to hold his hand all the way though, which is good cos he's not particularly good lol

I actually had fun while completing the Mars mission with the Queen's Wrath mission modifiers solo. Felt like I had to play a lot more strategically.

There's nothing new to see. In fact, there is a lot of old to see. The Queen's Wrath story missions are just the old leveling story missions with modifiers. And to really hammer the point that there is a lot of old to see, you can't skip the atrocious cutscenes.
 
You have to do them all to get restoration? Just need boots to complete my legendarys. Think I'll grind out the 30 marks before I hit the queen up.

I'm wondering the same thing. I know this kind of stuff is possible in PC games, but I don't know how flexible it is on consoles, and if so, will Bungie even do it?

Traveling to destinations is mindnumbingly cumbersome.

I'm so glad we are through the half way point. All I do while working is think about this fucking game and sneak a read at this thread when I can.

Well that's disappointing.

When are they actually planning on adding content to this? I'm beginning to think trading it in is a viable option.
 
This event's easy as hell Legendaries seem to be a Bungie response to the purple engram backlash. In a way, it's nice to see they heard the internet's cries about wanting guaranteed loot drops. It's just kinda sad that they felt they needed to go this far; guaranteed Legendary drops for a Raid make sense but for something this simple it just cheapens the value of purple gear.

I'd say leave the loot system as is. Let people grind Marks to buy their stuff unless they get lucky. Let them be. I'd much rather they focused their attention on adding content - new story missions are probably too much but other stuff is easily doable like remixed Strikes (swap the bosses around), new PvP modes (a no-super Playlist etc) to make the game feel fresh.
 
This queens stuff is great. Getting legendaries, dismantling, and getting 2-3 shards each.

That's the same as a raid boss drop! Finally completed my exotic armour because of the 7 I got

It'd be too easy. Besides rng lottery, they want legendaries to take time. Makes sense. Cuz when I get full legendary gear that will be the moment I might stop playing for a bit. Feels like that's the eng goal of the game

Make sure to unlock the Grimoire kills bonus on the planet you're on; chests are better than material nodes and respawn frequently; stay on your speeder as much as possible; switch max agility on your class to move around quickly on foot.

If you just want to follow routes:

Spinmetal
Helium Filaments
Spirit Blooms
Relic Iron

Imo, not really even necessary to follow a guide though. Just sort of keep following the flow of beacon missions (drop ones that require you to go far away unless you're "done" in an area) and explore EVERYTHING. he's not kidding about chests everywhere. I also get distracted easily and always always do public events but 100/hour isn't out of the question for my style either.

Part of my problem here is that I have work and my commute has absolutely sucked (1 hr commutes for 32 miles each way) for the past half year or so. As a result, the thread will have moved by 50 to 100 pages by the time I get home from work.

Anyway, I typically farm for materials when I'm out doing bounties, especially the beacon patrols. Some of the patrol beacon missions are straight up BS, especially the "go here and stand around to autoscan an area... right in front of the frigging devil walker in devil's lair."

answering simple questions in a forum such as this is valuable because anyone arriving with the same question will get the answer without having had to ask. I commend anyone who takes the time to answer a question here especially considering the speed of the thread as we start to hone in on OT5 in a pretty real way.

I agree, they should've just made it where purple will be guaranteed legendary. Granted I'm happy about easy materials, but it does cheapen my happiness of reaching 27 yesterday. Seems like overkill to just have nonstop guaranteed legendaries.
