Thinking back to 1999, Xbox One's life is reminding me a lot of the Dreamcast. Not saying Xbox One will meet the same fate because Microsoft will keep throwing money at it to keep it afloat. Just the price drops, free games, all the stuff they are trying to stimulate sales reminds me of the DC days.
I'm thinking they will drop the price by $25 - 50 in the US for the holidays. Bundling games alone does not seem to be cutting it.
Yeah but you said creeping up - as in closing the gap. The gap has been constantly growing in UK and even when the XB1 saw a boost the PS4 saw a bigger one and outsold it 2 to 1 hence making the gap grow even faster.^ See. This is what I was talking about. Whilst not on PS4-levels, the XBO is gaining popularity here.
To creep up the XB1 has to start outselling the PS4: anything else is simply an increase or decrease in the rate of the gap growing.
The XB1 can sell okay and still be outsold you know, decent sales don't automatically translate to narrow the PS 4s lead and to be blunt they aren't.
Every NPD shows PS4 increasing gap and all signs from UK PR indicate same thing.
All that can be said is the gap is narrowest and growing the slowest in US. Next is UK where gap is growing more quickly then outside those all indications is gap is growing rapidly.
Sorry to be so pedantic but there has been zero gap closing or creeping up anywhere so far.
