Could be any mission from the game with two random modifiers and always the epic modifier.

You can only do as many missions each day as you complete bounties though. Each bounty you complete gives you a queen mark or some shit which turns into a guaranteed legendary armor piece-at the end of the mission.
 
Just tried at weekly at 26 and 28.

Pretty damn hard at 28. We made to the last boss but couldn't do anything. 26 was much much easier. We just didn't jump off the ledge and killed the Minotaur whenever it spawned which was easy enough. On 28 not so much. Maybe if we had concentrated more firepower on it...
 
Late to the Queens missions party...are specific rewards tied to specific missions? Like, if I did the Earth/Riksis mission more than once, should I get the same legendary reward each time?

Or maybe you should have brought some weapons with solar damage which takes down the boss in like a minute.

Sadly I missed this at the time, late reply... but yes, a thousand times yes.

The toughest context in the game really rewards having a fireteam with diverse capabilities. The different subclasses each leverage a different element too.

He must be talking about the Weekly Heroic, does that have solar burn too this week?

I'm on PS4 and I have a party chat open constantly. My suggestion if you're looking for players to play with and are on PS4, go view the available party chats and hop in and see what people are playing rather than sending out blind invites.

Interesting. I usually send out invites while in orbit, and ask anyone who shows up what they want to do. How do you view open party chats?

I don't think this is true. I'm getting the same drops at 27 as I did at 24 as I did at 20. Still getting blue engrams that decode into lvl 16 or 17 bullshit. Still finding terrible green trash etc. Light level doesn't see to change much from 25.9 to 26.0. I mean, yeah, you will have more DEF due to better armour and maybe slightly more of a stat due to your armour being leveled up a bit but there isn't some huge difference from the end of one level to the beggining of another.

Just saw this... what do you mean by "one mission item remaining?"
 
Just beat the weekly strike solo.
Surprisingly easy, only took me 15mins to beat (using the cave method)

Anyone up for Nightfall on PS4? Add bravo9zero

To add to that, REALLY stock up on the missing element from your class. If you're a Hunter, and you're in a bind you can always throw an Arc grenade, or a Solar grenade, but you're screwed if it's a void enemy.

Do you think the increased geographical resource drops unlocked with Rank 2, ala:



Includes public event loot? I cleared one event this morning (not my first of the day), and got two ascendant materials at the finish (not from the postmaster). The bounty surprised me. Just not sure if was just pure RNG or not.

Yes, it's unlocked for you. You can tell because the banner at the bottom is yellow.

Well there definitely is a difference. You have described mere RNG with regard to your drops. I can't offer anything more than my personal anecdotes in response, but I didn't see a single blue item with Lvl 20 requirement (despite getting lots of blue drops) until level 22, which allowed me to progress to level 23. I also have not seen a single green engram (not green item drop, a green engram to be decrypted) since around that time. I saw my first purple engram at level 25 and have collected 7 others since.

The difference in your defense and attack from leveling with Light does not come from the stats of the item you have equipped but because of the way the game compares the level of the attacker and the level of the target. I went from 25 to 26 during a level 26 strike and immediately felt a substantial difference in the damage I was doing (armor has no attack stat) which I could switch on and off by removing/replacing that piece of gear.

I think no. It says you get more from material nodes. Best to just assume that it's exactly that, not even chests. That being said, I dont' think anyone can really say for certain.
 
I wonder if having completed the story missions has anything to do with scoring random exotic loot.

I got 2 characters flirting with level 25, neither of which have barely made it out of Venus. Haven't sniffed a random exotic in PvE or PvP.
 
Twice now during a crucible match I've seen a message saying someone found something, I'm assuming it's an exotic or legendary item. I'm not talking about the message at the end of the match where it says someone gets a legendary item as an end game reward; this was during the middle of the match.

Anyone know what this is? Are they looting a ammo box or something and get an item, or is it just a random thing that happens?
 
Man the Hobgoblin's OHK is a pain in the arse, but with only one wipe we took care of the Weekly Heroic on 26 too. :-)

With two 25s no less!

The labyrinth was great fun, the disappearing steps shorter than I expected but still good.....really I think we just need to do the Mars portal first as it's harder, send three in, then just send two into the Venus portal whilst two kill minotaurs and two defend the sync plate.
I've already picked up a stronger Shingen and topping up armour levels so next time they'll go down faster. Need to find a void fusion rifle though...
Looking forward to looting those chests again too. Can never have enough shards.

I have seen it too it says XXXXX found legendary Engram.

do things drop on the PVP maps?
 
I've picked up a second exotic weapon bounty and really need to get one finished. Is there an easy way to obtain rare fusion rifles? Is there any way to know when the gunsmith is selling them? Is there any way to get them through this Queen stuff that just dropped today?

Thanks to anyone who can share any insight.
 
So rollover last night was fun. My group finished the Raid in an hour and a half and netted me Atheon's Epilogue (Void AR), then the Heroic Strike, Nightfall Strike, and then onto the Queen's Bounties. I got 2 Exotics (Gjallarhorn, which I already had, and The Last Word) and a crapton of the new Queens Bounty legendaries. Probably the most productive we've been :D
