LEVEL 26 HUNTER LOOKING TO HIT UP QUEENS MISSIONS. I HAVE TWO COMPLETED BOUNTIES. I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS SO YOU'LL PAY ATTENTION. I'M REALLY SORRY FOR BEING THAT GUY.

EDIT: OH I ALSO HAVE A LEGENDARY SOLAR MACHINE GUN AND A 242-rated SOLAR SNIPER. I DON'T KNOW WHY I PUT "RATED" IN LOWER CASE IN THE LAST SENTENCE. PLEASE FORGIVE ME.

I'm pretty sure that's just the item that Ikora (sorry , forgot her name ) needs for you to turn in your exotic shotgun bounty.

Yes you can. But since there's a cooldown timer on them you'll really only be able to use 1, maybe 2, per match and they're 950 Glimmer per pack so it's best not to. Save them for Nightfall missions and Raids :)

ummmmm 950 glimmer is absolutely nothing and you can immediately start a match with full heavy weapon ammo. Will try this, but having not yet experienced it I imagine it to be completely broken until everyone realizes it's possible
 
I have 200 crucible marks and cant gain anymore until I spend some but already have a legendary or better of every weapon and armor. First world poopsocker problems i know.
 
What does this mean for the Invective exo bounty :

Earn a Kills/Death spread of 25 in the Crucible to obtain A request from Ikora Rey II - Completed.
 
Yeah, I had no idea those ammo things worked in PvP if that's true. Gonna try that later, but if so you can start with a machine gun and probably hold that until actual heavy weapon ammo drops.

Get more kills than deaths and it'll add to your bounty. Meaning, get 10 kills 2 deaths and you got 8 toward that bounty and so on. It's real easy.

It starts at 0/25. When you kill someone (or get an assist), the number goes up. When you die, the number goes down. The number has to reach 25/25.
 
Fuuuck. Doing the Queen mission version of the first mission again and just as the boss comes out of his hidey hole I get booted back to orbit because of error: Groundhog.

You can start working toward your first Legendary piece immediately (actually you could've at level 18. but you're in good shape).

Yes, I did did see your guide, thanks for that. I have started grinding faction rep ( chose New Monarchy). I have only been lvl 18+ for at most 2 hours of game time. I plan to do some serious crucible time to build up marks and hopefully hit 200 by the time I hit rank 2 and be able to purchase two armor pieces. This will still take a fair amount of time as I still have over 3000 rep to go and only a few hours a week to play.

even without retaining it until the actual drop you can surprise people with heavy fire in the first moments of the game. I'm shocked it's not disabled actually

It's a lot less daunting than it seems. Just do all the easy bounties; many of them can be done in minutes a day. if you absolutely need to rank up quickly, see about forming a fireteam with others who need to (here or on www.destinylfg.net) and use this method:

Whaaaaaaaaat??!!!?? Had no idea you could do this. You ARE saying you CAN use heavy ammo synth in PvP? That's crazy. Not sure how I feel about that...
 
Is it just me, or has Bungie tweaked the engram drop rate?

I love the feeling of joy/discovery I get from killing an enemy and seeing a blue or purple orb appear.

Actually a boost to the overall drop rates, without touching engram decrypt tables, is a fine hush-puppy for the loot complaints. They should still rename "legendary engrams" though.

I was thinking the same thing just a while ago. Each mission I've played today, I've gotten at least 2 blue and of course a bunch of green. Even got a couple of purps today, but turned out nothing special.
 
I only have one opinion on the game. Gunplay aside it really is mediocre but it is oh so oh so addicting which means my brain is telling me even though I'm getting punished for playing it, it is also fun.
 
Just finished the scout and hand cannon queen's bounty. Took my Shingen and shotgun out again, and it's hilarious popping people trying to use handcannons and scout rifles for the bounty.
