If anyone wants to do Nightfall I'm a 28 hunter.

Just did the weekly on level 28 solo and it was pretty easy, hopefully Nightfall isn't too much worse.

wow, rumble is kind of fun. absolutely beasted my first match ever. feels good after typically struggling with randoms in the team modes

If you want a particular piece of exotic armor your only option is hoarding strange coins and praying Xur has it in his stock someday.

Just seen this helmet btw, looks fucking cool. I want it now.

Damn straight. Is this your first time?

I managed to get the Weekly Heroic, Nightfall strikes and all of the raid done up to the final boss, which we managed to get down to 50% one attempt, before I called it a night. Once again everyone was getting raid armour while I was getting shards but ahh well. I did get one of the raid capes though. I'm not sure if I prefer it to my current one.

That's it, guys. I've loved playing this game, but the thought of having to do the same strike again, scavenge for loot chests or get slaughtered in crucible in order to get better weapons and armor so that I can repeat that loop ad infinitum makes me nauseous. Time for me to take a break and experience other games. Got a backlog to work on and Driveclub in a couple of weeks.

Had an amazing time playing with fellow Gaffers throughout the past 2 weeks. Will get back to Destiny in December when there is actual new content. Love you all!
 
Just hit lvl 27 after farming helium filaments for an hour. Fun stuff

! Looking forward to doing the raid within the next couple days, lemme know if anybody wants to get a group together to take it on at some point this week.

Do you use Armor of Light? Blessing and Weapons are useless in PvP.

Armor makes you damned near invulnerable if someone steps in your circle of pain.

the above is nonsense so far as I'm concerned.
 
So what level are you guys doing the raid at? My usual fireteam is all late 26-27, and neither of them think that we can do it yet. I'm a little more optimistic, but I'm curious what the GAF teams look like.

Today I done a second Raid and again I got NOTHING besides materials. Twice in a row (because we finished first week raid yesterday, prior to week reset).

I also invested serious time in leveling New Monarchy to Level 3 Rank, which also happened later in the evening.

I got NOTHING but Shard.

I have NO SINGLE Exotic armor or weapon, I do not have Legendary AR nor I can buy one, because I had to MANUALLY EARN all my gear and weapons up to my current level. Only thing wort mentioning I ever got was Legendary Helmet LV 20.

I have 70+ hours of play and tonight this game devastated everything positive I have for it in me. I have great company of friends that got beautiful weaponsz gear and stuff, all of them have exotics, raid items, raid guns and legendary weapons I can only dream about. I am happy of them, but I feel so numb about my time and effort.

You can do it with 26 / 27. I was with two gaffers earlier (they were 27 and I was 26 at the time) and we made it about 3/4ths of the way and didn't have time to keep trying so we're going to go to again later. Just take it slow and stick together and you'll be good. Oh and make sure you use the appropriate elemental weapons to get the shields down. That's huge.
