do you guys think the story in this game (assuming it was actually a story) would be better as a sequel or final title?
a lot of aspects of the universe -were- interesting, but by the time the game throws the player into the universe, everything has already settled down and you don't really feel any urgency at all. the traveller is already dead so it isn't doing much in the story. earth is reduced to old russia and the tower, neither of which seem to be in too much danger given how few fallen are actually invading the former and no one is touching the latter. the cabal are just space truckers so IMO they barely count as THE DARKNESS. there's a small force of hive on earth and on the moon but both get loose because of your character and kind of do nothing anyways.
the game likes to tease a lot of history and I feel like the first game of the series should have been set in those times; being part of humanity as it's pushed back to its Last City, or being the pioneer Guardians setting off to planets to defend against THE DARKNESS off world.

is ironic that "the exo stranger" is less of a stranger than the vendors and all the other "characters" in the game...after the Ghost. Bungie missed several opportunities to formally introduce is to the vendors. No idea who the vanguards are supposed to be or why I should care about anyone in the tower, other than mr talking helmet. the queen's "event" was a perfect opportunity for another cutscene at the tower

Thanks to Ced and Narmer212, I was able to knock out a couple of Queen's Wrath missions and bounties. Got a chest piece each time, neither of which I needed. Oh well. We'll see what comes up next time.
Interesting that the Queen's Wrath shaders and emblems provide bonuses towards earning points. I hope they add more abilities to decorative items.
Has a weird thing with my Hold headset-- Ced could hear me fine but I could not hear him at all. Not sure if it was his end or mine. The rest of the game audio came through loud and clear. I hope it was just a glitch in the matrix and not a sign of my cans wigging out.

Did I raid with you before? You said again haha. I have raided with quite a few random people though so maybe I just forgot.
I haven't gone into crucible yet because I don't want to go in alone but when I do that will be the combo I rock.

Man, this game hates me. I've been at level 20 for like 5 days and I can't get any Rare armor drops. And the ones I do get are base level 16 with only 2 light. What the hell.

Late last night beat last week's nightfall, today beat this week's nightfall, bunch of queen bounties, leveled up my vanguard, and made it to level 28. Now I'm a bit burnt out. I guess wait until Iron Banner?

I did two... one sold and other with a friend... both are kind easy but I'm lvl 27.
Just have weapons to break shields.
Stay on the ledge, 2 shoot at boss while one watches the back and calls out when the minotaur spawns. Everybody (or at least 2) focus on shooting the minotaur until it's dead, then you go back to fighting the boss. Depending on level and gear (use Solar) this can either be really easy or really hard.

So after decrypting 4 legendaries yesterday and having them turn out to be all for the warlock/hunter class in one fell swoop. I guess Bungie, asshool and RNG felt really bad for me becaue today I gained 4 legendaries as well. 2 weapons and 2 from doing the queen strikes(chest, helmet). The weapons are these...
It is my first exotic so congrats to me lol. That doesn't mean that now the loot system doesn't suck because it does, massive balls. My total playtime is 1 day 19 hours 10 minutes and 39 seconds. Now the plan is to go after as much legendaries from that queen bitch so I can dismantle them for ascendant shards and level up more. Waiting for Xur as well so I can get a thing or two from him. Hopefully I get to try out the raids and all before Shadow of Mordor comes out because I don't feel Destiny is going to grip me, at all come October and it's games, that is without mentioning November games.

You have been equipping those, right...? a set of them will get you to 21, which will improve your drops

Depends, it took me and some GAFers a couple days of long stints to get to the last boss, then we just got there in a couple hours this week. Basically the first time will take you a long time, especially if you're all new to it.
oh yeah, meant to catalogue my drops in the raid; got 2 ascendant shards in like 10 minutes from the first chest. <3
I just finished a Strike on Venus. Boss drops a blue engram or whatever. I go to pick it up and it says my weapons are full. Before I can dismantle one to make space, the Strike ends and sends us back to orbit.
Is there any way for me to find this drop or is it gone forever?

Check the Postmaster, she gives out lost loot (blue and above if i'm not mistaken)
Check the postmaster in the tower, if your bags are full the item you tried to pick up usually ends up at the postmaster.

Yup. Majority of the time is learning the mechanics and then coming with a strategy on the fly. Raid itself isn't too long.

Make sure to check back after each strike, it will only track the last mission you did for lost items. I can't say whether or not it will pick up any lost legendary gear yet though since I've not recovered any that way yet.

Sooo we beat the raid again tonight. From the chests I got nothing but Shards and Energy.. and from beating Atheon I literally got nothing. I mean I dont expect crazy good rewards for beating the Raid everytime but I did expect something. Disappointed to say the least.
We beat the final boss part in one go and took about an hour and 15 mintuesfor the whole thing so I was happy with that. Think we're gonna try hard mode next week once we level up a little bit more.

Ugh, maybe I screwed up. We finished the Strike, went to the Tower, I left the Fireteam, went back to the Tower, and now there are no messages at the Postmaster. He's the one I check for missing stuff, right?
