I didn't even know you can block him from teleporting. We just shot him in the face until he was dead.

Yea.
Stand in the ring that marks his next location and he wont move there. The way we set up though we usually weren't fast enough. Also whoever stands in the ring is who he is going to shoot at. We died a couple of times because of that. Defender Titans are the best for this.

Just an FYI for anyone trying to farm the 200 Fallen Headshots using a Scout Rifle with exploding rounds: turn the exploding rounds off. Oftentimes the final headshot exploding round will do small area damage and proc the kill on the upper body instead of the head. If your final damage numbers on fallen are not yellow, then you aren't in the crit-area for that mob (their head).

After turning off the exploding rounds I finished this bounty pretty fast. The best place to farm fallen for this bounty (in my opinion) is Venus right before the entrance to the cave where the strike starts. The respawn rate is super fast.

Anybody trying to get a party together for the raid? I'm a level 28 Titan with both Defender and Striker maxed out and all legendary and exotic weapons and gear. Hit me up on here or at Xbl Xzilerate (Xbox One) if interested.

>.< so jelly

Got to level 24 last night so the pop up for Nightfall came up explaining what it is. But when I hover over it on the left side of the screen when in orbit it says I can't do it because my gear is too weak. Why would it tell me I can do it now but then not let me do it?

Haha, I saw that too when I was 24. I really don't know why they do it either. Carrot on a stick I guess? That's basically what this entire game is about. "Just a little further..."

Uh "lucky" doesn't even do what happened for you justice. I'd call it a God damn miracle.

Also, can you complete the nightfall more than once for a chance at exotics/legendaries again or do you only get rewards once? Anyone do it more than once yet?

Not sure brother. And yeah, I bitched a bit when my fourth engram turned into a rare, and then I read this thread. Bitching ceased.

I might farm on Mars so I can max out my Sunbreakers to hit level 28. I'm hoping that'll make the relic parts easier in the vault. I'm level 27.

I didn't even CONSIDER people didn't realize this.

the missions are randomized and it doesn't tell you what skulls are on until you're in the mission. you have to have learned and memorized them beforehand by looking at the heroic/nightfall missions.

one inconsistency I don't like about the UI. it feeds you with information in some places and then buries or completely leaves out other important information.

Got to 24 last night, quite enjoying the PvP and probably gonna max crucible marks this week.

Though still don't have a Legendary/ Exotic :( damn RNG (and not doing enough grinding to buy some)...

just go through the rep/mark, don't sweat it and get burned out

Oh damn, we were so close to that checkpoint and had no idea if we were doing it right, hahaha. can't wait to get back in there.

IMO that's the hardest fight in the raid. I know many will disagree but I really don't think the last part is that hard once you get the mechanics down. We did the final boss in one go last night. Templar fight keeps you on your toes constantly and it's quite easy to get killed during that time even if you know exactly what to do.

Okay Bungie, I have to admit, the raid is pretty fun. This Queen's Bounty stuff actually sucks (no specific quests for it? really?), and I can already tell Bungie is going the route of giving everyone legendary items (a good move since high level content requires at least light 26), but I just hope there's a reason to grind out loot. By that I mean, if they just give everyone legendary items, then what incentive does anyone have to grind up faction points/strange coins/etc?

Really bums me out that unless some aussie group is raiding and randomly posts on gaf ill never get the chance to see the raid.

So, I assume at this point and due to Bungie's apparent silence on the topic that we wont be getting the game soundtrack any time soon? I mean I assume the lack of anything for ages has something to do with Marty O'Donnell and them firing him for whatever reason, but who knows, they showed off a few tracks and then went silent on the subject as far as I can tell, such a shame.

Open the nav menu. Skulls are on the bottom left.

if you have armor you know you'll be sticking with, should max it out IMO. even if you don't want to keep it, ascendant shards aren't that difficult to come by this week. go ahead and burn a few to level up.

bah, top of the page. here's some raiders roasting marshmallows

The Queen's Wrath missions have an Elemental Burn skull active.

You can identify the skulls active by hitting your touchpad (or whatever button it is on non ps4 systems).

They show up at the bottom left of the screen, any skull with the star, swirl, or flame is the Arc, Void, or Solar skull.

These skulls massively amplify damage from one specific element for both you and enemies. This is why you're exploding to Fallen on the first mission in the game, there's an Arc Burn skull active. Thankfully you can explode them right back with an Arc weapon.

If you don't know what element an enemy has, when you die to them, watch the upper right of the screen, it shows the element they were using. Fallen are mostly arc but the shrapnel launcher deals solar, etc.

Using the burn skulls is the fastest and easiest way to clear all of the wrath missions and the Nightfall strike.

This is also why you want to be storing away a special and heavy weapon of every element.

On top of the burn skulls, each race gains an extra shield on Epic difficulty. Fallen Shanks gain a Solar shield, Hive Knights get Arc, Vex Harpies get Arc, and Cabal Psions get Void.

You deal half damage to shields on Epic difficulty if you hit them with the wrong element, but a burn skull renders this penalty largely irrelevant.

If there is no burn skull active and you're on Epic, you need weapons of the proper elements to fight the races you're facing in any given mission, otherwise it's way more difficult than it needs to be.

Interesting. I had no idea, thanks.

I'll try to get images of the modifier icons, stuff about modifiers was going to be in the next tips and tricks post

Holy fuck your Titan looks cool.

Where is this armor from?

Thanks for the suggestion. I got this last night with exploding rounds on, but I probably lost 20-30 on vandals who got splash damaged like you said. Sometimes on what would've been clean headshots too. PEACE.

Also the best tip for the vault final boss I learned from fig:

When Time's Vengeance is activated, the relic's cleanse bubble will never drain and die out until the buff is gone. When you get out of the portal, if you jump to the middle platform and get your whole team inside the bubble, you can deal a ton of damage to the boss since everyone gets a damage boost and can shoot from inside the cleanse bubble.

I still think Titans are the best overall class in crucible. I started my own the other day to play a few rounds and Titan Smash some folks since it looked like fun.
It is.

If I haven't done the Vault of Glass raid yet, can I still do it and get the rewards? I've been waiting for my friend to get his levels up before doing it. PEACE.

Nothing better than activating Bladedancer in pvp and watching two players see it then immediately turn around and try to run away. So good.

goes quicker if you have a titan drop a bubble with weapons of light to stack on the buff, but it takes a lot of coordination, especially if he goes down.

Skill being equal, I'm going to give my early vote for that title to Warlocks and especially well-played Sunsingers, strange a choice as it may seem. however, as a Hunter, defender Titans are the scariest to me personally.

Nah, I play Hunter and I get killed by Titans plenty.

No doubt Hunter is badass but that is what made me choose a Titan to start. Everyone of my friends first character was a Hunter. I guess you could say I wanted to be different. My second is now a Warlock which is pretty cool. My last will be this one they call "Hunter"..lol

Shit, they can have it at that point? I didn't think it was available during that phase. iiiinteresting.

Ooooh if it's the bit before that
you can all jump into the middle, there'll be a bright white circle and you can cleanse yourself. There's a limited amount of times you can do that though.

Void weapon will eat their shield REAL fast, followed by 2-3 pops from a Hand Cannon. :)

Epic modifier really forces you to play smart. I find it absolutely superb.

Yeah, I know - I had a void machinegun for the psions and a flame shotgun to handle the centurions. There were just so many of them that it was rough. I eventually gave up right at the spire since there as very little cover + a bunch of phalanxes and centurions that were just destroying me. I was mostly cloaking then sneaking up with the shotgun and one-shotting the Psions, but not so much the Centurions. Starting with little ammo didn't help either each time I died.

What's the secret to playing a Sunsinger well in PvP? It seems weaker to me than all the others.

Yeah that section is very confusing the first time round since you don't really know if you're making any progress or not, you certainly are though.

Also I don't think cleansing works. It gets rid of certain marks that will be put on you but I'm pretty sure that the Oracle mark can not be cleansed.
Our team was taken out by Oracles at the Atheon fight last night and the relic didn't cleanse us of it

Really? For PvP it seems the weakest IMO. It's great for PvE though. What about it makes you think it's the best?

Because fireteam. If you are the last person joining the tower (15/15 or whatever the number is) how are you going to invite 2 more people if there's no more room. Think about it.

I wish the Tower was accessible through a menu when on patrol. It totally fits in the lore too. If you can transmat navsats and entire fallen dropships, then you can transmat some inventory to and from the Tower. I'd just like the option to handle petty transactions with the cryptdouche and bountyman without having to leave the shooting fun. PEACE.
