Bungie likes to act like fools. It's no different than when they were giving us a salvage crucible bounty when there was no salvage playlist at that time.

It happened in the Alpha/Beta as well with the Iron Banner, requiring stuff that was impossible to get. It wasn't the full game though so everyone let it slide, knowing Bungie wouldn't let that happen upon release. Wrong!

PVP was more fun in beta when people were lvl 8. No super shit all over the place. I wish there was a playlist for no powers as well.

Half of what breaks the MP right now in the retail release is the huge change in weapon perks and rares having better range and impact then greens and yellows.

Shotguns are ok when they are regular guns, some of the purple and yellow shotguns have range twice as far as normal, this isn't fair even with normalized weapon damage.

Auto rifles with steady aim?

Fusion rifles which fire at full auto or have low charge times?

Most of this stuff was not present in the beta which is why it felt more balanced.

I should write a huge article about improving destiny or something but I would end up being roasted about it.

Sooo, any suggestions on getting past level 24? For the past few days I've been stuck on that level, since I can't get better rare armor and I haven't got any legendary.

I've tried crucible, doing a couple of daily strikes and even spending some time at that cave.

Maybe I'm doing the wrong things, so anyone care to give me tips?

Pick a faction, buy the mark, the jump into pvp. You'll gring enough marks to buy a piece of legendary armor even if you lose the entire time.

He had the drop on them in an enclosed area which is pretty much what the super is for. Titan smash or the Warlocks grenade would have had a similar result there.

You would have probably got the 3 at the capture point with a titan smash. But more than likely, they would have used it and only hit the guy at the entrance. That's why Arc Blade is so dangerous. You can get that guy at the door, then move on to the three at the capture point, then chase down the 5th trying to retreat. Almost everything else is basically a one and done / now or never while Arc Blade lets you methodically pick off people.

So me and my fellow Titans need to pray that Xur has the Saint Helm with him this weekend. That helm looks insane.

I WANT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No they wouldn't. Titan Smash or Warlock bomb would have only killed the one guy at the door way, not followed on snaking it's way through the Capture point right through to the exit. Add to that, you can drop a Titan or a Warlock mid air before they even get the drop on you, with a normal round of fire. Blade Dancer has ridiculous armour/shielding that requires at least 2-3 full clips of fire to get through. They are in no way comparable, the latter is considerably over powered in comparison.

Start the mission, if it's not earth, exit to orbit and restart it. It'll be a different mission. Repeat until you get Earth, save yourself a lot of time.

That was what I was doing but after 5-6 tries and only getting Mars and Venus I figured 'WTH, right? They can't be that hard...'

The only reason I was rushing was because I was telling the wife that I just need to do this mission 'real quick' lol. That was an epic fail!

So I was level 23 and I went into one of the level 24 queens missions (the one on earth) and most of the enemies could tear through my armor and kill me with 2-3 shots... what level do I have to be to have better defense against these fallen?

I beg to differ...

1. Looks like it's laggy as hell. Notice how the bladedancer takes damage a few seconds after they all die. So yea bladedancer would be really tough to kill in that scenario.

2. What did the bladedancer accomplish that a nova bomb or Titan Smash couldnt? They were all in an enclosed area and could easily be taken down by any offensive super.

Some of those queen missions have fire boost modifiers on, so enemy fire damage is double but so is yours.

For those who found Raid gear, is it only boots or do Raid pieces drop in any slot? Boots seem to be the most popular from reading this thread.

Second question, how far into the Raid do they normally drop or is it random? And do they drop from bosses or from chests?

Thanks!

Got through most of the raid yesterday. Definitely requires strong team work and communication. Looking forward to finishing it tonight with the GAF team.

I'm a little pissed that all I got was ascendant shards from all three chests, and checkpoints, while everyone else seemed to get legendary gear. Hopefully the mission reward is good to me.

Praying to RNGesus!

At this point, ascendant shards are actually a welcome sight. Those little guys are so rare - not counting the Queen's missions.

Wait, there is a coming nerf patch?

Nothing confirmed by Bungie yet, but we're all expecting it soon. Possibly more news this Friday in the weekly.

I think people are complaining about the bladedancer a lot because it makes you feel helpless while the other two just kill you. It feels worse to be danced to death than smashed to within an instant....

It is pretty lame that there is only one PVE queen's bounty today. Apparently my fellow guardians are more of a plague to the universe than the hive, fallen, vex and cabal?

I got titan boots from the first main boss, the one which teleports and you have to disable his shield with the artifact.

The boots allow me to hold more heavy ammo and it's noticeable.

Cleared a couple of Vanguard bounties and a Queen's bounty so I scored another Wrath token for use tonight. I really appreciate that game has different activities I can pursue depending upon how much time I have for any given session.

Yeah before I knew about the restarting mission trick, I did a really long Queens Bounty mission. It was actually pretty fun, did it with a GAFFER, but man it was long, especially when you are in a rush.

Playing as a bladedancer i don't agree with this. There are specific situations where your super does not save you, it isn't as flexible as the titan smash that still kills you if you behind cover.... Also titan smash will always kill a bladedancer while in he is in mid super..... ALWAYS and I find that to be bullshit.

It would foolish to waste it at the entrance though, just lay it down at the capture zone and you're getting at least three of them down and probably splash damage on the rest. Honestly though I don't mind the blade dancer special. I can go on sprees with it or stop anyone from starting that spree in the right context.

The only way I can defend against this is a warlocks super.

See my previous post. I'm only posting this one because I knew it off the top of my head, but I can't tell you how many times I've seen a Blade Dancer take out a group of 3 or 4 spread out in a decent sized room (like at B on that same map).

I hope this event illuminates how disadvantaged single shot weapons are compared to auto rifles. Even popping a triple headshot which is the best thing you could possibly hope for is like double the ttk of an auto getting a steady stream of critical hits.

The game is laggy in general, it can't handle large amounts/many amounts of damage taken in a short amount of time. Many times I unloaded my hand canon on players and would get a head shot in there somewhere and after I ended up dying, the player I shot at would drop dead a few moments after as if the game had to catch up with computing the canon damage.

But that's just it, only a super can really effectively down a Blade Dancer. I actually save my supers just for it. Whereas normal fire can down a Nova Bomber or Titan Smasher. That shouldn't have to be the case. It should no way take 2-3 clips of fire to down a Blade Dancer. Fact that it does is just ridiculous. Nothing else in the game takes close to that much damage before it can be quelled.

Jerek showed me this and it's nuts.

1)
Everyone die except the person who will hold the relic. They respawn on that ledge and stay up there the whole fight.

2)
The relic holder makes sure they have their glide/jump/whatever set to where they get the highest jumps possible. For Warlocks, you can get an extra boost when you do the glide ability. Just check and read the specs.

3)
The relic holder grabs the relic and the fight begins. If you're the relic holder, you jump on to this small tower on the right of you (from the spawn area, this tower would be on the direct left). Then you jump onto a taller tower, and then you turn around and jump toward the closest tower to the spawn area. There's a small light on this tower, and if you jump toward it, you'll land on a small ledge. From this small ledge, jump to where the team has spawned. Use the relic's R1 air attack to get extra air-time.

4)
When you're up here with the relic, you can aim and use the super on the boss to knock out its shields, and cleanse the team when need be. Everyone is pretty much safe unless they fall off, get hit with the templar's splash damage, or you miss a cleanse. If the boss enrages, a lot more cleanses will be needed.

I recorded a video of this. I can try and upload it later tonight.
please upload the video, would be nice to see in action.

Are there any high level warlocks (sunsingers) on XB1 around here? Pls holler at your boy.
Warlocks.... Holla at him. You know you want to.

Nice, will watch soon.

I have both the raid boots and the raid chestpiece. The boots give you more Heavy Ammo and the chest gives you more Special Weapon and Auto Rifle ammo.

Yeah, raid gear is definitely better than normal legendaries so far, but I gotta see what the raid gauntlets are. However, my Sunbreakers give fast reloading to Special Weapons, so I'm not starving for any.

Yes. And people have done it, but I wouldn't recommend it. Get two gaffers to help you out.

Yes, I am always willing to help (on Xbox).

I want that raid gear so badly. Can't wait to go through the raid again to hopefully get some armor.

Tried playing rumble via remote play, but my work's WiFi is horrendous. Keep going 0 for 0 and I don't think I'm getting any crucible reps or marks. Can't tell because my screen keeps lagging out.

If true, then at least Bungie is aware of those who are trying to AFK crucible farm.

I got a legendary RPG for hitting Dead Orbit rank 3. Not sure on the others though.

*sigh* so close, yet so far. I feel like 0-1 was a breeze but I've been stuck between 1 and 2 for like 4 days now. It's so weird. Anyway, all I want to do is buy a legendary auto rifle and set of gauntlets and I'll be good. Simple man. Hopefully then I can at least begin thinking about the raid.

Trying to do the Face Your Fears where you have to defeat 3 Fallen Walkers. I've destroyed 5 of them now in Devil's Lair but only 2 of them has counted towards the bounty. Anyone know what the problem is?

So there I am, farming Spinmetal. As I press down square, it fucking disappears on me. The fuck bungie?
And what the hell is up with the spin metal that glows brown/orange? Edit-Atleast I found a chest with 10 spin metal, 2 heavy ammo packs, and a blue engram. But still bungie.

I definitely need to start accumulating some Raid gear.

I know you're almost done with this week's raid, but if you have an open spot next week I'd love to join you guys. I had fun steamrolling those events last night with you and Jared. Thanks man!

You have to be the one to hit it last.
