I got the exotic bounty for bad juju.. Anyone have an efficient way to tackle that 25 strike completed requirement?

It's a grind no matter how you do it. I suppose if you have a friend who is also doing it you can take turns in joining each other near the end of said Strikes. That way you'd only be doing half the work

I'm gonna spam the Devil's Lair strike on easy mode tonight and hopefully knock out a chunk of my strike requirement and complete the Devil Walker bounty at the same time.

If you're sick of having bad luck, just take matters into your own hands. Do the vanguard/crucible bounties, do patrol missions and public events, it only takes a few days to get to the point where you can buy equipment, and another few days so you can buy weapons.

I was lvl. 24, hit lvl. on vanguard and crucible, bought a helmet, legs, and arms, then bought my body armor from Xur, and am now lvl. 27. No luck involved.

Yeah blue engrams are 150 rep, and legendaries are 300, and each Cryptarch rank is 3k each time. My rank is around 12 now and each time I've received 1-2 legendary engrams.

Please tell me how to counter...

the easiest counter by far is to double jump while backing up - since a ton of blade dancers use blink, it really makes it difficult to get to you. you get the space you need to shoot for a bit, they're treading water, and your team (or anyone in FFA) has time to respond.

literally every other super in the game shuts them down completely too

also, shotgun to face works just fine. machine gun if you have them down a sightline... the damage resistance isn't nearly as high as anyone else either. people just panic, give up, shit themselves, derp out, or try do stupid stuff when they see blade dancers. if your game was lagging before and you never noticed it - you WILL notice it when their speed turns up.

They're really fun for me, take maybe 2, 3 crucible matches. I play in both modes, I rarely if ever run into many decent players in my pvp matches. I think most other people at higher levels are obsessed with grinding.

Just go into patrol and ride your sparrow to the Devils Lair area and kill the walker there. I have never seen another person there, so you can guarantee yourself the kill.

Go into patrol and kill the walker. It spawns in the same spot, even in patrol. After you kill it go into orbit and rinse and repeat until you have the bounty done. Most of the time you're the only one there as well. May be different today.

Just know YOU have to deal the killing strike on the devil walker to get it as part of the bounty.

Easier to just go to that same area in Patrol. Usually no one around.

Okay, can someone settle this: how are strange coins rewarded from the Weekly Heroic Strike?

I keep seeing conflicting info:

-You can only get three Strange Coins
-You can get three Strange Coins PER difficulty level
-If you play at the highest level difficulty, you get nine Strange Coins and don't need to bother with the lower difficulties

I am at 7 Strange Coins and want 13 by Friday, so this is basically a matter of life and death for me. Thanks!

I'm not sure I buy this panic theory. I died to them frequently with perfectly placed fusion rifle shots before I realized what ability it was, so I was definitely not panicking (indeed, I wasn't even aware there was anything special going on). I'd be really surprised if a shotgun was actually a kill, as my fusion rifle doesn't even get through the shields with a perfect shot.

Don't get me wrong, it's not really a problem that short range weapons can't counter a short range super. I just don't buy this theory that it's all just because people are panicking... they really do seem virtually unkillable by a single person not using a super (which, y'know, SHOULD be the case. It's a super, after all.)

Okay I'm going to ask this --- Which is a more effective way of farming? Cave of Wonders or Wakening the Hive? I've done both, the cave one sucked for me, the hive one last time I did it gave me about 3 or 4 legendary engrams.

Hey lookee there, my 5th helmet in a row doing the mission I did previously that gave me the same helmet.

You can always go to orbit and retry the mission to re-roll it. And I got the helmet and chest from doing the Earth mission twice, so you just got bad RNG.

Yeah, I've been doing that. I've been getting the same 2 missions in rotation though.

Edit-Holy hell it seems to me that Shrines of Oryx and House of Winter are on rotation. And they both reward just helmets.

i recommend you to group with somebody or try to get the mission on earth were you kill the devil archon. pack a gun with fire damage though for the droids and their shield or theyll mess you up

I would definitely do the Queens missions. If you can't find someone to do them with keep going into orbit until you get the Earth mission. It's easy to solo.

Both #2 and #3 are correct. If you're high enough level, just do the Level 28 one to get all the rewards at once.

Stop counting on strikes to get you geared up for raid gear. Do the daily bounties and equip your faction of choice and get the marks necessary to buy the gear. If you do the weekly strike you get 3 strange coins between regular play and that you will have the 13 necessary coins to buy the exotic from xur in a week. Hell you might already have 13 coins.

Once you get the legendaries work on getting them leveled up and farm the mats necessary until you can raid.

Oh and do the queens strike for a legendary piece.

Man you think I never thought about doing weekly strike? For some fucking weird reason there is no matchmaking and I play at very odd time. So dont even have friends online most of the time.

Is this the earth mission? I got the chest from that one, for what it's worth. Aren't there only four possible legendaries, anyway? Even assuming they're equally weighted (and it seems like the two armor pieces may be weighted more heavily), that'd still be a 1/27 chance to get four of the same pieces in a row. Even five in a row is 1/81, over a 1% chance, which is not all that small a chance.

Yup, same. There seems to be some disparity between active vs AFK farming, just not sure what.

Okay it's simple: each difficulty grants you 3 coins. You can either do each level individually and gain 3 coins at a time or go straight the hardest and get all 9. Everything stacks.

1. If you're talking about your subclass skills then yes
2. Enemy drops are the only way. You won't get any from just completing the mission. If you want legendary gear then join a faction and get its rep up to lvl 2 and buy the gear with crucible marks. It's the easiest way.
3. Extremely important as they're used to upgrade legendary and exotic gear
