Scout Rifles especially, and Hand Cannons are a bad choice in that situation. Fusion or Shotgun (or Shingen-E -_-)I've shot a bladedancer with handcannons, scout rifles (which suck up close) and shotguns to little effect, my titan's melee barrier doesn't feel that great but I never really get a chance to enable the thing. I've had a good shotgun and melee into bladedancers before leaving them in the red so maybe I missed their face? dunno.
I think their movement might be why they feel so OP, they can attack and zoom around faster then sprinting, even fly with the skill.
Hey man. You're missing the point of that clan. People with few hours to spare who dont want to deal with tryhard bullshit. I was in that clan until I realized how hard Bungie failed on the clan front.Dear DadsOfDestiny clan, you're terrible in Crucible.
Signed,
Everyone
Got 4 people who've cleared the vault. Anyone here who's 27+, have a void weapon and mic want to join?
Being familiar with the vault would be a huge plus.
Yep. This is the one way the luster will wear off real quick for me and one of the reasons why I dont get people complaining about drops rates being too low. Oh well. This is a pretty big problem for a loot game. And I'm noticing it too.
Since we're talking about modes, I'd like a vehicular-based raid.
If we're able to use our spaceships to fly around kind of like in Halo Reach, a raid consisting of us flying around doing things would be damn great and would kinda fulfill a dream I had when I began raiding few years back.

Please tell me how to counter...
Totally. Would be fun.
Though I would prefer Shingen-Es also be disabled in such a mode.
Are there different variants of raid armor or is everyone who reaches 30 going to have the same armor set?

Just curious, what makes the Shingen-E so special? I thought I grabbed one and was rocking it in PvP and getting lots of kills, but a second inspection revealed its actually the Gallahad-E. I figured this was the OP gun since I'm tearing it up with it.
naw man. its the only super that allows unlimited range 1hks while allowing you the option to reposition yourself as you please. it can flip entire team situations with one use. add in combustion and its just... lol
nothing else can take out an interceptor, sniper across first light, and kill two people sitting on A. it belongs in a different kind of game
This is what I've been worrying about. I don't think there's different varieties.
Reach shooting stage, landing at some kind of temple which raised from the ground and storming it into the depths of darkness only to finish and escape on your ships again would be rather amazing.
It will never happen.
Is anyone else extremely pissed that this game is so freaking random!
Would you guys like a no supers PvP mode?
Nightfall and Strike Cheese Tip of the Week
At the last boss, the Nexus, don't jump down that large drop. First take out the few roaming Minotaurs that are wandering down there until the boss spawns. Then, just shoot at the boss from the same spot, sniper rifles are your friend here.
There will be an Ultra Minotaur Vex that will spawn behind you every 40 seconds or sometimes less, but dealing with 1 enemy on a constant loop is easier than the hoards that spawn below on a regular basis.
If you have a defender Titan get them to drop their shield with "Weapons of Light" so when everyone passes through it, all damage on the boss will be buffed.
Isn't this the case with most/all MMOs, though?
Yep. This is the one way the luster will wear off real quick for me and one of the reasons why I dont get people complaining about drops rates being too low. Oh well.
Yeah. There's also the fact that, a good bladedancer, getting a really good Arc Blade activation spot/time, looks like an absolute lunatic, just slicing and flying and blinking and blades and flashes and holy fuck dude it feels so satisfying. The crazy thing those is that whenever you see one of those gifs with the Gutted award handed out where a bladedancer just carves up the whole other team, from the bladedancer's perspective it... doesn't feel that cheap. It means you either:Edit: What I find most interesting is how much people are bothered by the blade dancer super vs. other supers. I DO think it's probably more powerful, but I suspect it's more a psychological thing that makes it bother people than the fact that they get killed by it more often. It's just a very brutal, almost insulting way to die, somehow. Just kind of interesting.
Dear Queen, how the fuck am I supposed to use a scout rifle or hand cannon in the close quarters tight corners shotgun fest that is crucible?
Anyone figure out how to solo this with a hunter yet? I managed to solo the last week strike, granted it was only level 22.
a titan melee can kill a blade dancer at full health
blade dancers die plenty. the smarter ones that make the most out of angles/elevation and the ones that use invis are the scariest - but very few do that
Yup, I don't like any of them either. I hope they expand his inventory.
No they can't. Not even the stormfist melee can do it. Only the shoulder charge melee can.
If I must. Don't say I never did anything for you.
Near-guaranteed counters:
Shotgun + boosted Melee: A shotgun blast + Shoulder Charge with Barrier Melee is an end to my dancing days. Even if I manage to survive, the then-shielded Titan has me at his mercy unless he totally loses his cool. This goes for Sunsinger Flame Shield too, but obviously they need to pop Radiance for that
Reliable counters needing skill:
Stay calm, back up while jumping, and use the mid-to-close range high-DPS weapon of your choice: If you see a bladedancer coming for you that means you can be shooting at them.
Dude, no way! Maybe this is true with the optional (only occasionally proc'ing) AOE option for the titan melee? Not sure if that does extra damage to the actual punchee, but it appears to in PvE from my experience. I could buy that, but it's not 100% of the time anyway. Edit: Titan melee doesn't even one shot a NORMAL enemy, though, btw. Unless mine is broken?
[/QUOTE]I'm surprised nobody has made a fireteam composed of all bladedancers and go into crucible. Or a team of all defenders.
.
They're not even CLOSE to easy to kill. I am sorry if I gave anyone that impression. It's just possible, it happens, and it is more practical than killing a Titan during Fist or inside a Ward, a Sunsinger as I built described way above, or a Void Bombing Warlock (people claim THIS is easy, but I've never done it personally).
It's a super. If you don't have yours, you are very likely to get murdered by it. But it's not unstoppable either.
Galahad-E is just "fine" too. Any high-ROF auto rifle with decent stability is a goddamned murder grinder in the Crucible. They dominate from a majority of combat ranges. It's a function of the lack of falloff at range, the way high-ROF works inconjunction with headshots, and especially generous auto-aim for ARs.Just curious, what makes the Shingen-E so special? I thought I grabbed one and was rocking it in PvP and getting lots of kills, but a second inspection revealed its actually the Gallahad-E. Haha, well, yeah. I said "reliable, needing skill." It's... I mean. Skill comes into play. A good bladedancer can also anticipate your jump and slice or even blink behind you. I'm you know, I'm just sayin'. It's better than trying to RUN (why does anyone do this) or firing blindly with an AR while running forward.I've had Blade Dancers catch me when I jumped. They'd lunge into the air and stab me. That being said, it's still a good tip, but you better jump earlier than you think you need to.
I was actually just talking about shoulder charge. I haven't used it, interesting to hear the perspective. I've been killed by it many times.I have never one hit killed an enemy with a Titan punch. Ever. Storm Fist leaves them mostly dead, but not dead.
Shoulder Charge will one hit kill everything except overshielded people / new sunsingers with shields / bladedancer with no follow-up.....but the move sucks. Yes, it does. It's gotten me killed far more than it has killed and I only use it because TIGER KNEE.
Also interesting. Great contributions to this discussion, thank you!The only thing I'd say is a Titan has to use an additional ability slot to be unkillable, virtually, while Fist of Havoc'ng. If he does that, he cannot shoulderblock and he cannot get the shield while sprinting (not enough people use this, I expect to see Titans with armor builds around shotgun / melee with Juggernaut later on).
Well... yeah, I guess I wouldn't know, if they dieIf he doesn't have this ability, it is *very* easy to kill a Titan before he Fists of Havoc. A lot of people probably don't notice it because the Titan is dead before he even jumps.
Don't disagree with any of that at all but I can see both sides. I guess they need some mechanics that both avoid the "rich getting richer" & someone like me who consistently places last in crucible getting an Exotic SR for my efforts lol.My problem isn't with drop rates being too low, but the general way the loot is handled being mediocre.
Low drop rates can be fine. I would be more than happy to run a strike dozens(or more) times attempting to get an exotic that's only found there.
However, I'm not super happy about the seemingly best way to get an exotic I want to be sit around in the crucible where my performance isn't even brought into the equation x.x
I really, really wanted to be able to say "Yeah, I got my Hawkmoon for beating the shit out of the psion flayers on a higher difficulty" instead I get to say "I may never get a Hawkmoon but that guy with a 0.25 k/d rating just got one. Yay."
"Earn your gear and show it off," "we want the items you earn to have a story," my ass. They described something entirely different =/
BS. Just had a match where I shoulder slammed a hunter who activated arc blade before I got there. Took off a little health and he killed me.
I've also just punched a guy using arc blade and guess what. He killed me.
I don't think you need any rank. You just buy faction specific butt cloth and wear it in then you will earn rep only for that faction and points wont go to vanguard marks or crucible rep. Bounties too only will go to faction.

its my leading cause of death as a blade dancer
but then again, i don't use the arc blade regen ability like i should

On a brighter note, just got another exotic bounty. Got the same selection as the first time, that really shouldn't happen. Why are you showing me Thorn again when I already have it guys x.x picked invective this time... at least Thorn looks/sounds cool I guess lol.
Leveling guide part 3 is going to clear up some misconceptions about the role the Queen's Wrath is playing in the endgame right now.

Ok couple of questions here:
1. You need strange coins to buy things from Xur right? Well I have 12 right now and was wondering on average how much is everything? Do I need like 20 or 30 and what's the best way to get them?
2. I have 10 notes of light. Can I only use these to buy things from the speaker? Should I even care about these things?
3. I'm lvl 23 and want to do the queens kill orders when I get off work. Is it possible for me to do it alone?
Thanks in advance you guys everyone in this thread has been an amazing help. Love this community.
