I got the helmet and chest yesterday. Today I got 2 more chests and 2 more helmets. Hey, free Ascendant Shards! Wish I had gotten the sniper rifle, though.
 
Finally got that Invective shit. Not sure if it was worth the hassle of the exotic bounties since I already had an auto-shotgun, but whatever.

Yeah, any legendary not acquired from a vendor is randomly rolled. Lots of possibilities in each of those slots, even the scopes =p

That's why I think it would be fine to have engrams be legendary for sure, getting exactly what you want would still take a while, but it would at least feel like you're making some progress lol.

I got a legendary engram. I would have preferred coins =p

Edit: Oh, also the coin amount is random. The two people that did it with me got different amounts of coins.

Heavy machine gun is Super Good Advice. It's probably the easiest bounty; it only took me 40 minutes. You do need to have Xur available, though; you have to buy a special bounty only item from him for one strange coin.

One of my arc fusion rifle shots decimates anything that isn't the boss, including shanks with their solar shields. I can actually kill the boss before he can do much of anything if I start hitting him on his way out of the wall haha.

Shotgun isn't likely to work very well, though.

Hmm... Thanks for the advice! I didn't even know Arc Burn was on! I'll go see if I have a Arc fusion rifle. I probably do somewhere. I've been stockpiling rare fusions just in case. :)

Hey Destiny Gaf. Im going to be on for the next few hours and I was looking to do some of the higher level strikes and Queen's missions. If anyone is interested in doing these or if someone is looking for an extra person for them or the Raid please let me know!

It's random, though people have speculated you have a greater chance of scoring one if you turn in a bunch of bounties at the same time.

That said, I've been turning in groups of bounties at once since I started and didnt score my first exotic until I was 55+ hours in.

I also just checked a guide and apparently I get the thorn for completing this bounty. It's a hand cannon called the Thorn. which I don't like to hear at all lol. Anybody know if it's any good at all? :(

Ah yeah that would blow. I've received about 3 legendaries from probably 150+ engrams (blue and purple)... so yeah, that would've just netted me some sweet green boots or something.

And I got 5 coins... he thought I got 6, but was just trying to make me feel better b/c he got my gun.

It's not the worst thing ever, but it's really underwhelming as a weapon in general, let alone exotic I'm sorry to say =/

I've upgraded mine to the point it gets its unique DoT upgrade. It's got 6 shots, slow reload and its damage is average at best. I think the only reason I can use it really is that I've been using Gunslinger and have Chain of Woe active which makes the reload a bit more bearable. Oh, also the actual ammo "inventory" is also small. So... you may find yourself running out of ammo more often than usual too.

On the bright side, it looks and sounds cool and fires green shots. I'm happy to have it if only for my collection.

Good as always, except for the enemy variety complaint. That's one of the things Bungie carried over from Halo and it's also something most fps campaigns simply no longer do. Proper enemy variety with different behaviors. It's diluted by stuffing missions/strikes full of cannon fodder and the Hive's bullshit wizards and knights are a lot more irritating than anything else, but still, they do a good job.

I think it would be better if the races kept to their respective planets a bit more. I feel like I'm fighting the Vex and Hive dudes about 75% of the time.

It does look cool and shoots green bullets, though! But I still prefer my Level 20 rare hand cannon with a capacity of 8 bullets, explosive rounds (doubles my damage) and faster reload. Maybe Thorn will get buffed in a future patch to make it more viable.

If you pair it with gauntlets that increase hand cannon reload speed, it's goes from "mediocre" to "a little good," in my opinion. Add Chain of Woe from Gunslinger, and it's quite decent.
 
I just got an exotic bounty and it says I need a kill/death spread in the crucible of 25. Does that mean 25 kills to 1 death in a match or 25 kills more than deaths?

The second one. A lot of the crucible exotic bounties sound way scarier than they are =p

they don't! I tried it.

The cooldown is there cause, for heavy ammo at least, it'd trivialize boss fights. My Gjallarhorn is already starting to do mondo damage and I don't even have WOLFPACK ROUNDS unlocked yet.
